No. Even though they are both of the same drug classification (flouroquinalones), there is significant differences. My experience is anecdotal, but significant. I cannot tolerate Levaquin at all, but take Cipro without any side effects. I know at least four other individuals with the same tolerance for Cipro.
Careful with Levofloxacin. Sometimes the side effects aren't worth the benefits. I took Levofloxacin to cure a bout of pneumonia. Sure enough, the infection cleared up, but my joints ached so bad I could not raise my arms to take a shower, put my clothes on, bend to tie my shoes, get in and out of a car quickly. Strength training and jogging was out of the question for a month.
No, levofloxacin (Levoquin®) would have no effect on ARS symptoms. All ARS symptoms are due directly to the body's immune response to HIV.

I was supposed to be ovulating from 02/23 to 03/01, peak time being around the 28th. My period was due on 03/14 and it still has not arrived. I have taken two pregnancy tests which came out negative.

However, I am pretty sure that I can suggest that you explain what you are taking and that you heard it can cause this to happen, then ask them to let you take a dose in front of them, and then be tested an hour later without you leaving the office.

The Levofloxacin is for the Staph infection and show help cure the staph. You need to take the pills as prescribed and finish them at the end of the course. Try to gently wash the area with soap and water. Don't scrub it and don't use a wash rag as it is too rough. Wash your hands after touching it. The Levofloxacin won't work on the yeast. It is an antibiotic and works on the bacteria only. If you have yeast you can try one of those over the counter 3 day anti yeast treatments.
Levofloxacin is not the preferred drug for NGU-either a single 1.0 gram dose of azithromycin or doxycycline 100 mg twice daily for 7 days are recommended therapy for NGU. Levofloxacin will probably work however and is a good drug for prostatitis.

Does anybody know of any cases where the Chlamydia has been drug resistant? And if so, how was the Chlamydia treated? I have not heard of anybody else having the same problem as I do with this infection.

The reasons for this have to do with the lack of information on the time course for development of a positive PCR, as well as the fact that positive PCR tests can be falsely positive. On the other hand, when a PCR is combined with an antibody test, the performance is quite similar to the DUO tests. In other words, at ANY time more than 4 weeks after an exposure, if both the PCR and antibody tests are negative, you can be confident that you did not get HIV.
Chlamydia is treated with antibiotics. There are two recommended regimens, and several alternate regimens. Which treatment is most appropriate for you will depend on several factors. However, if you think you may have difficulty remembering to take a pill at the same time every day for 7 days, you should ask for a single dose treatment. The trade off is that the single dose regimen may be slightly more expensive.

I did not want to take the medicine, but realize that i did suffer from depression and other things, and for me this drug really works, and it does not make me feel high or groggy (maybe for a little while in the beginning) but it all leveled out, now looking back at my life i realize that i do need this medicine, and if i could not take the zoloft i would be trying to find something that works, that is how much this antidepressant has changed my life......
