I see these color blobs that move in my vision that shouldn’t be there, they don’t show any connection to stimuli so I don’t have synesthesia. I’m on levetiracetam aka keppra and clobazam aka onfi. When I was on oxcarbazepine (trileptal) and levetiracetam (keppra) I started having these weird headaches where I would lose my vision, hearing, smell, and coordination, but I could still speak and feel. The doctors are pretty much stumped. Has anyone ever had a situation like this?
1. What is the LOWEST effective dose for a 100 lb girl (age 20). For example, could we actually leave her at the 250 mg at night and 125 mg in the morning? 250 mg. at night only? 500 mg at night only? Can she end up with just nightly doses? 2. What are, if any, POSITIVE side effects with keppra (i.e. lamictral can actually HELP with bipolar disorder). 3. Will the fatigue eventually go away as she is on it longer? 4.
I am an Indian Citizen living in the US. I have been taking LEVETIRACETAM (to control partial-onset seizures) since 2011. Currently, I am in perfect health conditions. As a precautionary medicine, I get the medicine from India either myself or through a friend/family member traveling between India and the US. I am taking tablets for my minor neural problem for the past 4 years, The tablets i am consuming are Oxcarbazepine (Trileptal) -300mg and Levetiracetam (keppra) -250mg. Now I am looking for a tablet which should have both of this content in the same. When did the sexual problems start. was it before or after starting your medication? These meds may be causing the problem. I did look them up and there was not anything in the side effects category that mentioned this problem. But, these meds can be very sedating and they do work on the central nervous system.
I take it your using them to control seizures? The Phenobarbital has a very long half life, meaning it stays in the system for a long time. Your taking a pretty high dose.
can levetiracetam 750mg (2 2 times a day) be taken with amlodipine 10mg (1 time a day) and albuterol 90mcg (2 pumps 4 times a day). Can these be mixed? I this too much medicine?

At this point of time he is not able to speak more than two words in a row. His Hb is 8.9. He is on valporate, topiramate and levetiracetam. His MRI scan revealed "Assymetric Right Temporal Horn prominence without any difinite evidence of mesial scerosis"
His walking pattern is also erratic. Most often he adopts "Toe Walking". When he walks slowly, which is rare, he walks alright. Always he tries to rush up and runs in an imbalancing manner.
Hi there, the various side effects with keppra or levetiracetam are dizziness, irritability, tiredness, fatigue, severe allergic reactions, extreme dizziness, drowsiness, weakness or tiredness, memory loss, behavior changes like aggression, panic attacks, restlessness, new or worsening seizures etc. in the period immediately after a seizure attack, it could be the post ictal phase or confusion. Consult your neurologist for your evaluation and change of anti epileptic medication. Hope this helps.
Working with a pediatric endocrinologist. Tries to avoid using steroids with the kiddos and we are using metformin to treat. Had difficult time getting up to full dose because of tummy irritation but going from the generic brand to the name brand which has a coating on it seemed to do the trick. First bone scan was 8 yrs and 7 months. Now 10 months later we have progressed to 11 yrs on the bone age scan. What are treatment options to arrest the bone age from progressing so quickly?
He was tested positive for ebv but afetr reduced tacrolimus dose by1 mg per day his ebv is negative. Also his biopsy reports does not indicated auto Immune hepatitis.Please let me know what is the right mathod or treatment to get his IgG and protien level normal.

My regular endo takes pediatric thyroid patients. Don't limit yourself to a pediatric endo - most of them are dealing with pediatric diabetes. Call and find a good thyroid specialist endo then talk to the nurse (a secret to getting around the receptionist) about your daughter's condition - that may get you in faster.
Starting her on Synthroid isn't a bad idea now but she needs long-term followup with an endo.
he has been on the max dose of digoxin for the last 8 or 9 months with little effect. his doctor has suggested doing a catheter ablation on him, given his wieght of over 15 kilos. the other consideration is the number of times he has been in the e.r and p.i.c.u and the heart rate of 250 bpm and higher when in svt. should we consider rfa at this time?

Not autoimune but just started levothyroxine daily, she is on o low dose-1/2 a pill(.25mg) to start out. She has a cold-can she take over he counter cough meds ? She takes her Leve at 6 in the morning. Anyone else out there with a child and thyroid problems? Would love to hear about it-this is all new to me and scary for both of us.
