levaquin green stool

Then I got Shingles 6 months ago, then the throat infection 4 months ago, and now whatever is causing the discomfort and abnormal stool in my bowels since taking the Levaquin which was prescribed for my throat infection. It just ***** that after all these tests and prescriptions, there is still no answer. My hope is that all these can be traced back to the dentist, in which I could open a law suit and at least be reimbursed for all my troubles.

The stool can become green on taking food rich in green leafy vegetables. If this is not the cause, then the stool is passing out of the large intestine at a very rapid rate so the bile does not break down. This can happen if you have malabsoroption syndromes. A viral infection can change the stool color to dark bottle green color. Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Hope this helps. 4 days later I started bleeding,(not bleeding until then), pain in ab, fever 99.7, bad headache. blood in urine and blood in my stool, very loose stool, in the toilet there is a ring around the bowl of blood. went to a walk in clinic, (my dr on vacation... figures) They put me on metronetazol 500mg 2x day and Levequin 500mg 1x. on meds for 3 days now, shouldnt the blood in my unrine and stool be going away. how long does it take or should I go to the ER?

I recently had a stool analysis test, ordered by a natrualpath, which revealed aeromonas caviae as a pathogen, and told me to take 21 days ofLevaquin, 500 mg 2 x daily. My internal Dr. and GI Dr. said aeromonas caviae is not a pathogen, and the test was "hocus pocus." I do not know whom to believe. I took 7 days of Levaquin and did feel better.

But lately for the past week or been pooping green, and Its dark green color, could this mean labor is starting soon? Also loosing bits and peices of my mucus plug here and there, abd having lower dull back pain all day long and lots of "lightening crotch" im so miserable!! Please help ladies!

I am 33 weeks and around the same time I had green stool. It's actually perfectly normal and means you must be eating more iron or salad or greens. Usually green stool is a good sign. But you can check with you doctor if you're concerned. I had it though and it went away about a week later.

Second we usually think of healthy stool being brown but stool is actually green before its brown due to bile being in the small intestine and as the green stool passes thru the large intestine over time it turns Brown. So If your stool was green ir could mean that it just passed thru the intestine too quickly for it to turn Brown. Its happend to me many many times. Hope that answers your question!

I have been experiencing yellow nearly all liquid diarrhea for almost three weeks now. I had renal blood work done that came back within normal parameters and have yet to get my stool results back from the lab. My Dr. put me on Levaquin and atropine which i have been taking for 4 days with no improvement in my symptoms. I am now experiencing pain in my lower left abdomen. I aa also losing weight. 3 - 4 days all symptoms came back so they put on Levaquin 250 again. I had to give a stool sample and get a colonscopy - which came back negative. The stool sample showed no bacteria so I stopped the Levaquin as tinging came back. I have gone down hill since. The colonoscopy was done the beginning of February and since then I have had severe joint pain, muscle twitches, facial pain mainly in my right cheek and red rashes on my cheeks.
