Will I escape corneal damage/disease if I use Zioptan rather than latanoprost? Will there also be less irritation? (My insurance will pay 80% of the cost, so it is affordable for me). Are there are disadvantages to using it?
Eyelashes growing the wrong way is called "trichiasis" also some people are born with an extra row of eyelashes this is called distachiasis , also some medications notably the glaucoma medicines latanoprost, lumigan and travitan-z causes eyelashs to grow exuberantly lastly small tumors on the eye or eyelid called dermoids can grown hairs. Trauma to the eyelid can cause lashes to grow the wrong way.
OK, great! You've removed the doubt. I am a worrywart. She also said it was up to me whether to start latanoprost. My IOP was 19/21, which she said wasn't that high but the low nocturnal dips in my BP were concerning. And also the suspicious nerves. So I guess I ought to take the drops ...
There should be significant visual recovery after a week and by one month it should be pretty well healed. My doctors do not like to use latanoprost after cataract surgery because it may increase the incidence of CME (macular edema).

I was misdiagnosed as having pressure in my eyes and was given Latanoprost eye drops which I used for 5 days and my intuition told me to stop it and get a second and third opinion which I did. I then found out I did not need to be on Latanoprost and my eye pressure was normal. I am only 45 and never had a problem with dark circles under my eyes which developed two days after I started using the eye drops.
They said that my cornea is really thick and my optic nerves are oddly shaped, but there is nothing to worry about at this time. I was prescribed latanoprost which I took and my eye pressure had decreased as it should at my follow up visit in January.
Since then, I have undergone some heart testing due to having palpitations and I ended up going off of the latanoprost, with permission from my doctor. I haven't noticed a large difference in my eyes until recently.
Since you have recently had surgery we feel you need to ask the surgeon about this. This is a generalization. Trouble opening the eyes in the morning often means they are drying out during sleep. Don't sleep under fan or have air blowing across eye. latanoprost often dries eyes out during sleep. You can ask your doctor about this. We have our patients put latanoprost or their glaucoma drop in about 30 minutes before they go to bed.
I paid $250 for a medication I usually pay $40 for and on checking that was the reason. There is a generic latanoprost but its not as strong or as long acting.
Diagnosised as open-angle glaucoma. I use latanoprost drops which successfully control the pressure. (Last measured at 13 to 14)
My opthalmologist has said that lens replacement may alleviate the pressure. I would not need to use the eye drops afterwards.
What is your opionion?

I recently became obsessed with pulling out my eyelashes whenever I feel them touching in my eye or become too long. I usually pull until the problamatic eyelashes are gone (which usually results in the loss of 5-7 others that were not an issue). However today, I (for the first time) notice that a patch of my eyelashes are completely missing and the lid is swollen and sore from all the plucking I have done this morning. I am really wondering whether my eyelashes will regrow.
I was recently diagnosed with glaucoma in both eyes and prescribed eye drops to take 3x daily for the rest of my life.These eye drops are 1) Latanoprost and 2) Dorzolamide/timolol. A few weeks after taking these eye drops I notice a large rise in blood pressure (top and bottom numbers)..with my bottom number around 100. Can this be caused by the eye drop medicine?

Today, stupidly while getting ready, I pressed down to hard on my eyelash curler, resulting into half- cut eyelashes on one eye. I am seventeen years old and I use to constantly pull out my lashes. I have stopped, but now I am dealing with an unwanted trim of my eyelashes. I was wondering usually, how long does it take the eyelashes to grow back?
I really appreciate it.
My 4 year old son has lost all his eyelashes on one eye. He has no colds or goop or anything that I know that would have caused this. Does anyone know why?

ve stopped because now my eyelashes are so weak and I hardly have any. They are so thin but long. I decided to buy an eyelash serum on eBay and it only made them worse. Now I've stopped wearing mascara and I apply almond oil everyday for the past week. My eyelashes are not growing back at all and occasionally three lashes come out a week. I don't know what to do! I don't want to lose my eyelashes.
I was curling my eyelashes yestereday and my baby was crying i turned n a chuck of my eyelashes size of my pinky wide came out how long will it take for them to regrow or what can i do for them to regrow faster the more i take off my eyeliner the more i get depressed because i see the check missing.
