They said that my cornea is really thick and my optic nerves are oddly shaped, but there is nothing to worry about at this time. I was prescribed latanoprost which I took and my eye pressure had decreased as it should at my follow up visit in January. Since then, I have undergone some heart testing due to having palpitations and I ended up going off of the latanoprost, with permission from my doctor. I haven't noticed a large difference in my eyes until recently.

Still though Lumigan is more irritating for most people than latanoprost and Travatan Z. You should also look at how much money you save. Travaprost has preservatives and maybe BAK. They do make a preservative free drug in the same family (Latanoprost), in the US it is sold under name Zioptin. It can be expensive for some insurance plans. Another option would be to put the travaprost in 15-30 minutes before bedtime and at bedtime put an overnight lubricant in like: Refresh PM or other GEL lubricant.

Now, due to emergency surgery (see cataract thread) she is back on the drops. She is also on dorzolamide drops and latanoprost drops which neither the regular vet or the ophthalmologist thinks could cause this. You need to see an ophthalmologist Eye MD to be sure you do not have eyelid problems (blepharitis, styes, chalazions, etc.) You need to be honest with yourself and ask if you pull or pluck your eyelashes; that is a disorder called trichotilomania. If the answer is you have none of these conditions there is a medication to make eyelashes grow full, thick and long.

That might be what he is referring too. It leaks a chemical that is a nerve irritant. It can cause alot of nerve pain. That may be it.

If you are not on latanoprost or Lumigan or Travatan Z they would be good alternatives also your eye doctor should have discussed glaucoma laser therapy. sometimes laser can be used and you don't need any eye drops. Please act on this.
