Laser hair removal gray hair

Common Questions and Answers about Laser hair removal gray hair

Avatar n tn For better or worse, laser hair removal is not always permanent--hair often grows back, and most of the time the hair comes in the same color as before, if not necessarily the same thickness. I have not seen hair come in white as a result of laser hair removal. I suspect that the hair looks lighter because it's thinner. In time it is likely to look even with your other hair.
Avatar m tn Light skinned people with dark hair have higher success rates whereas dark skinned people have lower success rates and those with gray hair even less in the traditional method of laser hair removal. However, there is one technology that does guarantee a higher rate of success regardless of skin and hair color and that is the Depilight procedure in use at the hair removal clinic in Delhi.
Avatar n tn I believe it must have happened when they first shaved my face (standard procedure for laser hair removal)- yet the shaving opened all the little acne bumps and must have allowed it to spread. Someone mentioned diabetes and menstral cycle problems. I have very irregular periods and have been diagnosed with " PCOS " (a pre-diabetic stage). I know my facial hair is rooted to this problem, yet I do not know how to fix it.
Avatar n tn But I too cannot wait till I can afford laser hair removal.
145992 tn?1341348674 I am so ready for laser hair removal! Of course I am still debating whether or not to shave my legs on the 3 Day. No power there and i am not sure the showers are roomy or whether we are afforded the time necessary to shave.
162948 tn?1205256292 I had the mirena in for about 13 months & had it removed end of august to try to get pregnant. I had thought it was more immediate. I found out it can take 3-6 months for your cycle to return. my husband and I are pretty bummed because we would have removed it earlier (or never had it put in). Anyway, I bled a few days after removal (probably due to the removal) & then nothing until a couple days of brown spotting at the beginning of this month.
393685 tn?1425816122 Most Dermatologist now have the laser hair removal... I think that would be the way to go if you can do it!
Avatar n tn I used hair color recently to get rid of some gray hair. The day after using the product, my scalp started to ooze pus. The back of my neck has some bumps but they are dry. The front of my head(where I used more of the product)is red and irritated. It's been this way for about 5 days. I'm not washing my hair this weekend to see if it will heal. Washing seems to loosen the scabs and causes my scalp to ooze more. Should I see a dermatologists or will this go away on its own.
Avatar f tn You might check out a dermatologist who advertises laser hair removal--they usually have lasers that can reduce pigment in the skin as well. Thirdly, I can help but say that if a man is concerned about the color of your labia, he probably is not Mr Right. Find someone better! Good luck!
Avatar m tn I have no symptoms, other than slight embarrassment when having my shirt off in public. Would the use of cryotherapy work well to remove these spots? Something similar to removal of common warts? By physical destruction, do you mean "scooping" the lesions out on my own, or consulting a dermatologist? Also, what are the chances of leaving scarring after these are removed? Would a specific type of removal procedure result with less scarring? Thank you for your help.
Avatar f tn Most people see more floaters after cataract surgery because the eye sees better, they also see wrinkles, gray hair, dust on the furniture and other things they could not see before. As I said you may want to see a cataract/IOL surgeon and get a second opinion. But no honest surgeon will say a straight forward cataract/IOL by phaco is same risk as cataract/IOL/vitrectomy.
Avatar f tn I've done a ton of hair removal -- waxing, laser, electrolysis -- for the past 15 years. I've read that these can all trigger outbreaks, and a friend told me she gets an outbreak EVERY time she waxes. How have I not passed it on (or at least in a way that anyone has had an outbreak) to anyone else? (I was married for 4 years before him, had two 2-year relationships, and a few shorter ones interspersed.
Avatar n tn Regarding the hair loss, when I started going through menopause at age 47 I would find a hair ball in the shower. Lasted for a while and then stopped. I've read that hair loss can be attributed to a lack of estrogen. So not sure if you're at that age or not. Hair loss is also a symptom that some people with lupus deal with. I've had some estrogen issues just recently and have noticed my skin is a lot drier than usual, probably a result of the lowering estrogen.
377493 tn?1356505749 I have to have it removed. This is done through laser, but is a bit more complicated then I had orginally been led to believe. It means an overnight stay in the hospital, I will be put out, and my Dr. tells me a fair bit of pain afterward. I am scheduled to have this done Jan. 13th. Now, they wouldn't have done it if my pregnancy had continued, but due to the outcome, my OB/GYN thinks I should proceed and get it over with.
Avatar n tn The same hormones are responsible for giving pubic and underarm hair their extra pigment, it's also why they are curly even if your other hair is not. Honestly, I don't think you should resort to bleach or whatever those creams are, the active ingredient causes cancer. It's not worth it, guys don't care/notice anyway. If they are naked with you and are busy staring at some slightly darker skin, they have bigger problems! Find a guy who isn't a waste of time, at least that's free.
Avatar n tn I wonder if laser hair removal is an option. At this point, I'd go for that if it would stop these painful lumps.
233488 tn?1310696703 surgical or laser corneal relaxing incisions; toric IOLs or toric mutifocal IOLs; rounding the cornea at time of surgery with brand new (2013) femtosecond laser; post operatively using lasik surgery to remove residual astigmatism. 9. Avatar n tn The odor will not go away until the fungus/yeast is killed. Wash twice per day with anti-bacterial soap. Tea Tree oil soap is good too. Dry skin with hair dryer on cool setting. When completely dry apply Zeasorb-AF. It is a powder for Athlete's foot and will work well for this problem. You may purchase it over the counter at any drug store. Continue washing, drying, applying until odor is gone. Throw away a bra if you have used it daily, as the fungus is in this bra too.
Avatar n tn I no longer can us a razor to shave because the after effects are too hard to cope with, I have since switched to the hair removal creams and although it helps a little it doesnt eliminate it altogether. I cant take anymore, it gets so bad it drives me to tears. Anyone in the same boat with the stabbing/acid being poured on your skin feeling?
Avatar f tn I found a book online called The Atlas of Craniomaxillofacial Osteosynthesis Its a medical book for sale and you can only see a couple pages, but from the index there was a whole chapter on plate removal due to immunologic response. Also.... Allergic reactions to metal implants: Influence of wear debris Properties of implant materials and particles.
Avatar n tn In order to cut down on the smell and keep things clean, I've removed my public hair with laser hair removal. My husband is a doctor and while I have never specifically asked him about this problem (I'm just too embarrassed and this is not his specialty), I am convinced it's bacterial and has to do with the change in PH inside the vagina, which is why the yogurt seems to help.
Avatar f tn It was right at a drop of 4 the last time it was checked in June. My cataract removal surgery was performed on March 20 of this year, and of course my IOP spiked the day immediately following surgery but even then still remained just below 20 or so. Mine typically ran 12-14 before, and my left eye (on which the surgery was performed) was down at 8 in June. Rx eye drops I used for the month following cataract surgery were Besivance, Diclofenac, and Prednisolone.
Avatar f tn I never really felt any better though and so the only thing that happened was that any time I told someone I did not feel good, they thought it was all in my head. Little by little, I lost muscle strength and became more and more fatigued. My hair started falling out, I had some joint pain, etc. all my lab work kept coming back normal, however, so no one thought anything was really wrong with me. This past January, I was under a tremendous amount of stress.
Avatar m tn Mine don't have color, just range from white like a bright light to gray through to black (interestingly, they are only truly black indoors when I have sunglasses on and am looking at a fluorescent light! not sure what to make of that) Like you, the spots are most noticeable when they fall on the EDGES of the TV screen, monitor etc. I can't look directly at them either.
211940 tn?1267884866 My husband and I have to shower together because I can't shampoo my own hair even. Even combing or brushing is an effort. And so far they are searching for the answer to this one. They have taken x-rays to make sure nothing is broken again. But leaning more towards an arthritic condition or tendonitis I think. I don't know but I'm not so sure. Personally I was thinking more bone cancer as my family is riddled with it but I'm no MD.
Avatar n tn The oxygen resulted in Retinopathy of prematurity, which was treated with laser surgery to both eyes. He was in hospital for 97 days. My son is now 6 YEARS OLD, & very healthy. He wears glasses only for distance and has never required any other surgeries. He is very intelligent showing no side effects from the brain bleeds. His only-on going treatments are physio and occupational therapy for low muscle tone which may/may not be linked to prematurity.
