Common Questions and Answers about Kreutzer sonata and other stories

sonata

Avatar m tn I've searched the web and here and no really good answer. I'm taking a Sonata about 3 or 4 oclock in the morning. It does cause some jitters next day. Now I've started Sam-e and a Super Beta Complex and the Jitters are unbearable. I take some Xanax and it helps some. I can't take much and still function. The question is ... Is it the Sam-e or the Super B Complex causing the extreme jitters or anxiety?
Avatar m tn I went to a family practice with 3 doctors and 1 FNP. Two weeks ago, the FNP prescribe me indocin, benadryl, and retin-a(other). None of these medications helped with my back pain and thurday 12/23 I saw the PCP again. I notified her medical assistant I still had the same problems and she spoke to me for a minute and said "I up your strenght". I really don't know who actually wrote my script since the prescription was check off by the FNP and a physician.
Avatar f tn To top this off, I am a very light sleeper and have to use earplugs and white noise in order to fall asleep. My doc gave me Seroquel and it works great, have been on it for about 7-8 years. I do not take it every night because of the weight gain. I also take over the counter stuff when I dont take my seroquel. I was diagnosed with Arnold Chiari malformation about 3 years and had surgery to help treat it. I get really bad migraines from my chiari, especially if i cant get enough of sleep.
Avatar f tn I was also taking Zoloft and the two combined was perfect. That doctor ended her practice and I ended up at a different dr. who prescribed me ativan and Zoloft, would not prescribe me the valium. Adventually I came off the Zoloft due to the side effects. The Ativan did its job for awhile but i was taking "too" much a day according to him so he just put me on Klonopin 4mg per day.
Avatar n tn I agree about talking to the doc. You might consider melatonin, though. It's OTC, safe, and works well for some people. I've been using that off-and-on throughout treatment. Go with the lowest OTC dose, though. It's a natural compound and if the body gets too much it just ignores the signal. Also, talk to your doc about Ambien (lasts roughly 8 hours) vs. Sonata (lasts about 2 hours).
Avatar f tn I have Chronic Interstitial Cystis and Chronic Vulvodynia and I.B.S., basicly Pelvin pain Syndrrome , etc. Well the pain is excruciating! I already feel like **** from detoxing! I am so exusted, and can only lay in bed with the heating pad for my bladder, but, etc,I walk around and try to do somethings and then feel like Im gonna collaspe. I am sooo sleep deprived....Ive tried trazadone, sereoqol, melatonin, valerian, kava kava, sonata, abmbian and the cr one, lunesta, rozarom.
Avatar n tn I found OTC melatonin to work very well most nights, and both my hepatologist and my primary care physician approved of it during tx and after as well. Paradoxically, it works better at small doses than large, and the ones I bought at Trader Joes are large at 5mg. I cut them into quarters and take about 1.25mg each night. About 15-20 minutes later I can't keep my eyes open. On those exceptionally bad nights when melatonin doesn't do it, I take Sonata (Rx). Good luck!
Avatar n tn I am 26 years old I suffer from chronic migraines. Supposedly I have restless leg syndrome. Since I had diagnose they have change my medication 3 times. At first the doctor prescribed me tramadol 50 mg, then she prescribed Requip 15 mg and now they prescribed me Meripex .0125 mg. My question is Why none of those medicines I just mentioned help me with the symptoms I have?
Avatar f tn I am depressed over this as well as postpartum issues and have just been put on Celexa for anxiety and depression as well as Sonata for sleep by a recommended psychiatrist. The Sonata is too short-acthing though. I called the doc on call but he does not want to prescribe anything stronger until tomorrow, if adding melatonin and/or benadryl does not help. I am currently wearing a holter monitor and have also worn en event monitor recently.
Avatar f tn It seems that every time I stop taking ambien for a few days and I'm feeling side effects. When I wake up my head is killing me, my kidneys are killing me, and I can't stop sudden movement. I have tried to stop several times though my doctors and with therapy but its like nothing works. I try to stick with it but if I have to deal with worst side effects. I can't believe I've been in this mess since '09 and I'm taking too many to even my prescriptions out.
Avatar m tn Anyway I have been with this replaced doctor for a yr and a half, I had been explaining to him that 2 vicaprofen in a 24 hour period is not sufficient he by the way had taken me off the motrin and changed my Xanax to Ativan. I also have been on sonata 10 mg for all these yrs. I was given a urine test which is pretty normal, before I took it I told him that there would prob. not be hydrocodone in it as we had been discussing that I needed more pain relief.
Avatar m tn Yah, I took all that junk at 12 and it's now 1300 and I'm about to keel over. Sonata or lunesta both work for me, ambien did too when that's what I could get. But only when mixed with the other stuff. Folks have told me that my 'cocktail' is going to make my liver fail and that that's a very painful death. The death part doesn't bother me, but I don't want my last awareness to be one of pain.
1570846 tn?1295829627 I know eds pots and syngeromelia please help me list the others i am trying to help my mom understand this all more and i wish i could get some answers from others on the stories of pain and what makes it worse and what all they have had to give up in life and how thy are treated.
Avatar n tn I am 2 years post surgery and radiation therapy. I still have trouble sleeping through the night and have other effects of the radiation therapy. I refused Tamoxifen and I keep refusing it. I can only speak from my experience but I think the most important thing for the patient is to trust her instinct and make each decision for herself. I am 68 years old and my cancer was small too and it was estrogen receptor positive and the nodes were clear.
Avatar f tn I have a real problem with insomnia I went to the doctor last week and got Sonata for sleep and I asked for clonadine because I knew that I would be out of pills this week and would be having w/d sysptoms. He did not want to give me that he gave me klonapin instead.. I have not told him I have a problem with pills. The sonata is not working for my insomnia so I have made an another appt to see him this week to see if I can get the clonadine.

Avatar f tn Weirdly he's into the classics. Beethoven and Mozart. Things like that. Moonlight sonata gets him real still and he doesn't move. When its over he kicks like crazy till I put it back on. Anything played on a piano or violin seems to sooth him. He also loves when I sing to him. Could be anything.
1580703 tn?1651904887 hello dear and welcome to the medhelp forum. I understand your anxiety about the muscle twitching. Clonazepam is known to cause drowsiness and lack of muscle coordination as side effect. There are some rare effects also like uncontrolled body movement and twitching which can be distressful. this is a anti anxiety/anti convulsant of benzodiazepine group and your doctor prescribed you once he deemed that the beneficial effect dominates the anticipated and possible side effects.
Avatar f tn I was induced and it was aweful, and id never do it again... BUT i was over due like lots of other mommas that get induced and i think in lots of the cases there is a reason why they went over due in the first place that can affect the outcome of the induction not to mention the fact that their babies have had more time to get even bigger!
Avatar n tn • I feel pinches in my body especially in neck and arm, I checked with the doctor (without telling him about my exposure) and he told me that may be from Thyroid and he tested it and it is OK and then he told me that I may have anxiety. • Do you think I am taking risk and bad decision to return back to unprotected sex with my wife? I am thinking so much and over worry and I need to through this subject away from my life and look to my family.
Avatar n tn my dr just put me on sonata for sleep and i am being treated for add w/ritalin,lamictal for bpd, wellbrutrin depression, and nerourotin for nerve pain and a few days ago i started grinding my teeth together, looks like i am chewing gum all the time and i also am making grunting sounds.
