I was orginally on Depo-Provera for 1 1/2 years (never had a period), switched to Seasonale (major nausea), then switched to Tri-Sprintec (my chest got huge on this pill), and then to Kariva (was great!). I was on Kariva for 10 months. I never took the placebo week, so I never had a 'period'. However, if and when I missed a pill or took it a little late, I always had spotting for a day or two.
I'm in the 2ww (12dpo) and have been charting. My temps are still above the coverline but I haven't seen a triphasic pattern...they seem to hover between 98.3 and 98.0. I want to be hopeful for this cycle but was kind of disappointed this morning when my temp. was 98.0. I had been hoping it would go up past 98.3. So just wondering..is a triphasic pattern always there in pregnancy? If so..when do the temps usually start to noticeably climb?

I am a 17 year old girl and I have been on birth control pills for a little over a year and a half now. I was originally prescribed Ortho-Tricyclen Lo but was switched to Kariva in May of this year because it was said to be the "less expensive generic brand" of Tricyclen Lo. I always felt a little more irritable and noticed my skin got a little more sensitive when I originally started taking the pill, but nothing too bad.
Hi ladies, if you do not display a triphasic pattern on your bbt when you're pregnant, what trend do you see instead? Same temperature range as your post ovulation period? Or do they go down? Do your temps dip/spike every now and then? Thanks for your kind answers...
Last Wednesday I got my period, and I began taking Kariva Birth Control. On friday, My boyfriend and I decided to have sex, which was dumb, but we used a condom with spermicide on it and in it. After a little bit, the condom popped and he pulled out immediately without ejaculating at all. Then we were finished.
I know that people say that girls can get pregnant on their periods, however, i was only on the 3rd day of my cycle and i highly doubt that i could have ovulated so early...
She said that I would need a pill with higher estrogen and that she was going to prescribe me a triphasic pill with varying hormone doses throughout the month. She told me that I could also take this back-to-back and I asked her again for reassurance. However, information online completely contradicts this and im not quite sure what the benefit was to putting me on a triphasic.
I am on Ortho-Tri-Cyclen, which is a triphasic pill. I have tried skipping my period before by just taking a new pack before I started my period, but I had break through bleeding. After doing some research, I found that that isn't the best way to skip your period on a triphasic pill.
If your temp stays up above 98.6 for the next two days then I would do a test. It does look triphasic but you had small rises the last two months and it went down right away. You did O and BD on great days! Best of Luck and yes it does look a little different then the others!:) Triphasic patterns occre more in pregnancy then in none pregnancy charts!
That's definitely a triphasic chart. Have you tested? If not, hurry and test so that you'll know!!

Since you're on a triphasic pill, you would have to take them out of order to skip cause of the different level of hormones in each week. Even still many women who take them out of order still have spotting or breakthrough bleeding because triphasic pills don't work effectively for skipping like monophasic pills do.
For some women they can't effectively skip their periods even with a monophasic pill either cause their body won't deal with it for whatever reason.
