I kept telling everyone it was my JAW. I had pain in my jaw and it would shoot up into my brain and then cause a serious migraine. All they wanted to do was put me on this awful medication that I hated and it did nothing to relieve pain in jaw and head. Finally I went on the internet and researched about Jaw and Migraines and found 2 Drs. in my area that treated that very problem. I called, made an appt. The Dr. was my hero.

The area of pain can stretch from the lower jaw area right up to my ear and can even give me neck pain. Can someone just explain why i would feel pain in my head when i tap my jaw with my hand. Anywere on my jaw if i hit it with my hand i feel a jolt of pain in my head?? s know if you have ever had braces before, but if so, or if you grind your teeth, there is a very good chance you might have TMJ. It causes severe jaw pain because the jaw is not aligning correctly. When I had a hot nodule, my biggest complaint was pain in my tooth, jaw and ear. I don't think that dental work caused the thyroid condition. I do believe that my enlarged thyroid put pressure on a nerve causing the pain. It seems a strange coincidence about the crown though.

You seriously need to get this checked out ASAP. Chest pain that causes jaw pain is nothing to ignore. Please get this checked out as it could be very serious.

There have been treatments successful in relieving the pain. I cannot recall the name of this pain as the word is a little lengthy. You really should not have to live with pain. Perhaps Google, facial nerve pain or dental, facial pain. More on this if I come accross the name in my searches...

you should see your dentist who will sugest you have an x-ray on your jaw and teeth. you could have nerve damage or gum disease. your jaw could also be broken without you realising it. to relive the pain take paracetomol with codine three times a day and take a relaxing bath. hope you feel better soon. can you tell me what happened. thanks.

My jaw bacame sore in the beginning I thought I was having a bad toothache and had my dr call in an antibiotic but it didn't help. I guess its because our joints are loosening up and that causes the pain. Even in our jaws. Mine didn't last long maybe a week in a half.

m thinking it could be TMJ - which is a disorder of the jaw joint. It can cause many symptoms, including ear or jaw pain, as well as headaches, etc. Do you ever catch yourself clenching your jaw? Does your jaw crack or catch when you try to open it wide, such as with yawning? I would suggest starting with your family doctor - just to rule out any infection in the ear, however, if it is TMJ, the best person to treat it would be yoru dentist or oral surgeon. Best of luck!

I got off of them and immediately the pain went away, I thought that was it, that I was finally done with the body pain. I was off of them for two months pain free, then I start rapid cycling (bipolar), and had an anxiety episode, and during it the pain came back. It was like a light switch just turned on, and boom in horrid pain. I have been in pain for a month now, my psychiatrist put me on Gabapentin, and it does help some, but doesn't help with all of the pain all of the time.

For the first day, the pain radiated to the left jaw, and for a while seemed to originate from the jaw. Today the pain and pressure is better, but is now radiating to a slight soreness in the left collarbone area. I've also noticed that the pressure sometimes moves up toward the sinuses. t know what to do or what it might be and im tired of going to the doctor. I am still in pain with full and burning pain in my throat up to my ear and to my jaw, I have puss/ white spots (not tonsil stones) but I don't have a fever. Tried natural remedies which help slow the infection but not curing it. Not currently on antibiotics. Can this be antibiotic resistant?
