Common Questions and Answers about Itchy skin palms

Avatar n tn In the sun they look like a small pore with some skin over top and they are clear. I can't pop them. They are really itchy though and get kind of raised. I don't have any other symptoms. But they are driving me crazy. It seems like they dry up and then the skin over top peels off and then it starts again a few weeks/months later. Any feedback? I can't go to the doctor right now.
Avatar n tn You must get an allergy test done, either a skin test or RAST, to know what you are allergic to. Well, itchy palms with tiny white blisters could be eczema or it could be viral in origin—as a part of hand foot and mouth disease. It can also be pompholyx characterized by a sudden onset of many deep-seated pruritic, clear vesicles which itch and then peel off. As a result the skin may also fissure.

Avatar f tn Every morning for the last two months I wake up with itchy palms, no rash, no dry skin, just terriby itchy palms. Sometimes it tingles and itches for the first hour after waking. It feels as if there is no blood flow to my hands, but I really have no idea what this means or if it is something I should be concerned about.
Avatar n tn I'm feeling overwhelmed and I have lost faith in my doctors. Does anyone else have these other symtoms as well as the itchy palms? Very Upset.

Avatar f tn My daughter (14y) has intermittent raised white partially round lesions (sometimes small straight lines or dots) under the skin on her palms and soles. When they show, they itch so badly that they hurt. If she scratches them, they get extremely raised and white. They go away and more return. No scaly patches. No red rings. It is not tinea (ringworm). No contact derm issues. No other physiologic symptoms. Help!
Avatar n tn I have recently developed little itchy bumps only on the palms of both hands and the bottom of both feet in the arch area. I can see them under the skin and when I scratch them they pop open and have water inside. If I scratch an area more will surface. I've never had this before. Can it be an allergy to something? Stress? My Dr. gave me a steroid cream to use at night with gloves and it's not working.
Avatar n tn For quite some time I have been having itchy palms and soles. Let me tell u I have psoriasis for last 13 yrs. Presently I am on tigason(spellings?). Present itching seems to be different from psoriasis related itching. It is come and go phenomenon. It occurs on other parts of the body also but palms and soles are worse affected. On other parts of the body including shoulders. arm pits, tummy sides and thighs also get rashes.
Avatar m tn Burning skin... (I've had itchy burning hands and soles of my feet) First, I'd spend the money on CeraVe' Soap, it's at the drug store, for your hands and the shower... Also, a 24 hour antihistamine, Allegra is the best then Zyrtec then Clariton, take any of the 3 that you can tolerate. Also, stay out of the heat, bright light bulbs, cover your self with a light shirt and pants.... a hat but you do not need to get heated like sweating....
Avatar f tn Hi everyone, I've been reading the forum threads - very helpful - but no one has noted my exact problem, which is itchy bumps on the palms of my hands. Not red, or white, they seem to come from within. My Dr. said they are probably not bites, as insects do not break the skin of the palms (too thick), and thinks it might be an allergy (to WHAT???). He gave me some corticosteroid cream (this one has Fluocinonide), but it hasn't helped much yet (have used it for a little over a day).
Avatar m tn My dad's palms are itchy and swollen(thrice to normal). His palm lines are cracked and painful and pus comes out of it ( im not sure if its pus or lymph or something else ). It has happened many times. it stays for around 20 day each time. We have visited all the local dermatologists but no one could help.
Avatar f tn It usually disappears right after delivery. You may also find that things that normally make you itchy, such as dry skin, make you even itchier when you're pregnant. Eczema often worsens during pregnancy, though some women find that their condition actually improves. With psoriasis the situation is reversed: Many women report less severe symptoms during pregnancy, while a few find that being pregnant makes their psoriasis worse.
Avatar n tn Symptoms can be exacerbated by dryness of the skin. Use good quality moisturizers to prevent moisture loss from the skin. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Avatar f tn Itchy skin is normal, however if the palms of hands and soles of feet are itchy or have a rash it could be Obstetric Cholistasis. Which is treated usually with medication and Vit K. Its due to the pregnancy. Call your doctor and have him check it out. No reason for alarm.
Avatar n tn Hello, Itchy palms can be due to contact dermatitis, allergic reaction, pompholyx or scabies. Apply some calamine lotion on the affected area and keep the area well moisturized. Use only thin applications of moisturizer ointments as excessive amounts of ointment may restrict breathing of the skin and aggravate the condition. Topical steroids can be applied but they are available under prescription. Moreover to prevent infection, topical antibiotics may be needed.
Avatar f tn They prescribed a $75 cream that cleared up the rash. Unfortunately my skin started peeling off in large sheets on the palms of my left hand. I thought it migh be a side affect of the Rx cream, but now both hands and all of my fingers are peeling. It doesn't hurt and it's not red; it's just peeling non-stop. I've used Eucerine lotion, Aveeno & Cetaphil and 10 minutes later they start peeling again.
