Avatar n tn If suspected ringworm does not respond to routine antifungal treatment, further diagnostics must be performed, like a skin biopsy, a fungal culture, or a skin scraping for fungus identification. Let us know if you need any further information. It would be advisable to consult a skin specialist for the symptoms and a proper clinical examination. Let us know if you need any other information and post us on how you are doing. Regards.
Avatar n tn Over the last few months I have had a problem with red itchy bumps under my wedding rings. Once it started I took the rings off and it eventually went away not before the skin cracked and still was extemely itchy. Once I put my rings back on it starts all over again. You can even see a definitive line where my wedding rings sit. The bumps are all along the line of the rings. PLEASE HELP!!! I have tried Bacitracin and hydrocotisone creams, they do nothing!!! Thanks...
Avatar n tn I am an RN who works in a hospital and washes my hands multiple times a day. Around 2 months ago I started with a red itchy rash under my ring finger under where my wedding rings sit. I took them off and the red rash went away after a week but a dry cracked skin was in its place. I put my rings on for a few hours and them I found a red itchy rash with red bumps or blister like areas also. I again took my rings off for a week or so and it seemed to heal after the same dry skin.
Avatar n tn I have, what feels like, a hard growth under the skin on the shaft of my penis. It looks almost like a ring that goes about half way around. It is visible while limp and erect. Much more prominent while erect. It doesn't hurt but, it almost feels like cartilidge under the skin. I'm able to move it around and doesn't hurt to put pressure on it or pinch.
Avatar f tn I have the exact same symptoms as well. Very itchy and skin is bruising prob. from scratching it so much. I soaked in the hottest bath imaginable for it on my feet and it relieved it for hours, but yet it still does not explain what this is caused from or how to prevent it. I don't have any faith in doctors or hospitals anymore because honestly they all depend on the net too much for prognosis/diagnoses whatever!
Avatar n tn I had the same problem - red swollen itchy eye which started on the skin just under my left eye as the weeks went on it spread to the eye lid, the bridge on my nose, between my eye brows and to to skin round my other eye. it drove me in sane it was so imbarassing going into work. On the days it wasn't as red it was very dry bumpy and scaly horrible. The attack lasted months and the skin was starting to look wrinkly!
Avatar m tn My husband got a white ring under his skin on the back of his forearm. It looks as if he has been branded, but, the ring disappears. He told me that he saw another ring on his stomach today, it doesn't hurt but itches. Any suggestions?
Avatar n tn I have 4 little bumps on one arm between my hand and elbow about 6 on the other. They are itchy at times nothing major. No cust from them just looks like something under the skin. I never went to a doc just got some cream for scabies. Have applied it all over my body although only my arms are affected by this. I get the odd itches on different parts of my body I feel that it is a mental itch because I am thinking about it and thinking it is scabies.
Avatar f tn The brown skin and spots under my arms never itches, however sometimes the brown skin under my belly will itch. It is very unsightly. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions. Thank you.
Avatar n tn What I did was run out and get over the counter lice shampoo. Imidiately the skin started to heal. I saw the mite under the microscope. It's hard to identify, except by their legs. Do not let the MD prescribe steroid cream until he does a skin scaping. It makes them multiply. Now my skin is packed with them.. I think fungus maybe secondary to scabies. They were in my palm, index finger and thumb. Now they are everywhere. Even on my lips.
Avatar f tn If they persist then please get an evaluation done from a dermatologist and get petechiae ruled out. They are pinpoint-sized red dots under the surface of the skin. They are common after skin trauma and viral infections. They should go away in a few days. But if they persist then please consult a physician and get other causes ruled out which include allergic reaction, autoimmune diseases, thrombocytopenia, ITP or leukemias. My sincere advice is to get it examined from a dermatologist.
Avatar n tn I had my nose pierced two weeks ago and now i've had this redness under my nose and it itches. Im not sure if it has to do with the nose piercing or not, or if my skin is just dry in that spot. ive been putting vasaline on the area before i go to sleep it seems to work but then through out the day it becomes itchy and dry do you think it is because of the nose piercing or something else? and how do I get rid of this?
Avatar n tn i think the problem is spreading as now my other thigh is starting to show same symptoms and is itself itchy but not as bad as the left one. I think ive got a skin disease but darnt go to see the doctor. i had a similar issue on my left wrist although this has cleared up becuase i left it alone long enough. Im at my wits end, i itch in my sleep and it makes my wife unhappy with me moving around and fidgetting all the time.
Avatar f tn Two years ago, during summers, I got ring-like rashes near my arm-pits, under breasts and in inner thighs. They were dark-brown in colour and would cause a lot of itching. Assuming that it is a fungal infection, i applied a known anti-fungal cream 'Ringuard'. Though the itching subsided, the rashes still remained. As the winters came almost all disappeared but those in inner thighs gave way to a dark discoloration. Now this year too, these have recurred but only in inner thighs.
Avatar m tn I have developed a red apearing rash with tiny little bumps only on the posterior surface of my left ring finger (under my wedding rings). I have worn my rings for three and a half years and had not had a problem until almost 2 months ago. The rash then developed into somewhat scaly appearing skin and was not tender at this time. I thought that it was getting better but when it seemed to heal the skin is once again red and tender.
Avatar m tn She saw one dermatologist and he took one quick glance and all he said was, you have very dry skin. She tried to show him the water pustules under her skin but he refused to even look at it more closely and told her to use lotion. I've attached a picture where her hand is in the stage of very dry and scabbing. I wasn't able to get a clear enough shot of the pustules as they are very small. Is there sort of over the counter medicine she should be trying?
Avatar m tn When I was twelve I developed a skin condition on the sides of my middle finger and my ring finger. The skin is dry, scaly, and occasionally itchy with tiny blisters popping up every now and then. The skin lines are very pronounced and do not match up with the proper skin on the other side of the finger. When the skin gets particularly dry it will crack. This condition has spread over to my right hand earlier this year.
Avatar n tn Symptoms are restricted to the skin and cause an itchy red ring that when scratched gets worse and more itchy. It is irritating and will drive you crazy and often people scratch off the skin leaving themselves open to infection, but it is not considered a life threatening problem. There is no systemic involvement with ringworm. Your symptoms of stool, throat and other problems are not generally caused by ringworm.
Avatar n tn my 10yr old just recently had a virus, it was diagnosed as an allergy which came from a virus, it started in his feet, he was covered in spots head to toe and rash,( feverish and sore throat which developed later on) he was given anti hisstamines and double base gel, that cleared the spots and rash from body, as they cleared up he was left with a red ring around both eyes which has now dissappeared, however, now his skin on soles of feet and palms of hands are peeling off, underneath the skin is
Avatar n tn I can understand your concern for the itchy skin rash and have checked the photograph. From your symptoms, there can be many possibilities but few important possibilities which need to be ruled out are: 1) Contact dermatitis: Irritant contact dermatitis which occurs when chemicals or physical agents damage the surface of the skin. These irritant can be everyday things as water, detergents, solvents, acids etc. 2) Second possibility is of sweat dermatitis. It is a form of atopic dermatitis.
Avatar m tn I noticed these, bumps/pimples however it is called, under my glans(please see the picture). It was always kind of like that, but i never spotted the bumps. It is painless, doesnt itch(just a bit, but not noticable) or anything, its just there. I wonder what these are, since its not painful or anything i am sure its something i shouldn't bother with going to doctors. Maybe just irritation from masturbating/underpants? Best, look at the pic, zoom it, it can be clearly seen.
Avatar n tn However, as the week has gone on, it has become increasingly itchy and a red rash has appeared. (Only under my right arm, the left is fine). The rash is like lots of big red bumps. Its itchy, and stings a bit when i move my arm. It looks a little bit like eczema. I have never had eczema before in my life, but my brother spent the first two years of his life in hospital with it all oevr his body.
Avatar n tn I have a round itchy red rash under in my armpit. It is fairly large. I thought it was ringworm, so I have been washing it with hibicleans and putting Lamisil on it for weeks. It is exactly the same now as when I started. And ideas on what this may be?
Avatar n tn of course that didnt work.. i have tried tanning because they say that is good for itchy skin.. and that didnt work.. im begining to think that i am going to be living with this for the rest of my life! i wish there was a doctor out there that can tell me what this is... my finger hurts so bad that i cant bend it all the way.. thats partly because its swollen too.. and if i bend it the skin will crack.. i try gloves with cream at nite... but everything is just an endless hope!
Avatar n tn Oral antihistamine medications would help if the lesions are itchy. If your symptoms persist it would be best to consult a skin specialist because nothing can be said with surety without having a look at the lesions. Let us know about how you are doing and if you have any other doubts. Regards.
