Avatar n tn Hi, I have had exactly the same: itchy nose (around the nostrils), eyebrows and ears. This first started when I shot a rabbit but did not kill it. I had to pick it up to wring its neck. I then noticed this facial itching which lasted for a few days. It was unbearable but the most effective treatment was washing head face and neck many times a day with Head and Shoulders shampoo. I also used a flannel to get a deep as possible into my skin.
Avatar m tn My question is can extrasystoles (occasional skipped beats) result in rapid heart rate (atrial fibriilation or sinus tachardia is that what it's called?) for a few seconds (15 seconds) are they connected? I consider myself a healthy 28 year old male. I was diagnosed with extrasystoles 10 year ago (age 18), had an ECG , occasionally getting a missed beat or two like once a week, sometimes once a day.
Avatar n tn He may also have an ear infection in the corresponding ear. If he has an ear infection which is painful or itchy, he could have accidently scratched his eye while trying to scratch his ear. Or, if the infection is just in the eye (with no ear involvement) the eye could have been itchy or painful and scratching could make it worse by introducing additional bacteria or irritants. Rabbits can get ear mites, or mange around the eyes too. Rabbits have extremely sensitive eyes.
Avatar f tn Is this pregnancy related or not im constantly getting really itchy ears like right inside i know i shouldnt but the only to help is use a cotton bud and really get in it but this only helps for a short period of time.
Avatar f tn I think there is a Cat Community too, that may be a better place to ask. There must be some home-regiments that can be tried, but as my experience is with dogs I'll not suggest any here... may be much the same. Cleaning is the best first step, not sure what to use on a cat/kitten. I'll refer to the moderator for possible move to a Cat Community.
Avatar n tn I have a 4 month old cockapoo who has chronic itchy ears. We've been to the vet twice who says there is no infection or mites. I have been using witch hazel ear wipes that don't seem to help. I'm thinking it is allergy related. What are the ingredients I should be looking at eliminating? She is very finicky. I've yet to find a food she likes. She doesn't like any treats, other than cheese. Could the cheese be an allergen? Any help would be appreciated.
Avatar n tn I believe what we all have is likely caused by Cheyletiella or Neocheyletiella mites. Likely from a rabbit, dog, or cat. I have struggled with these for three years now. Family thinks I'm making mountains out of molehills, and that i am overly sensitive. I've done so much research, i probably know more than most people would ever want to know about parasitic mites. It all started when my stepson's mother got an indoor pet rabbit as an "emotional support animal".

Avatar f tn Taysien is a shelter dog he stayed with another family and the dog that they owned had an ear issue they said was a yeast infection of the ear? Their vet gave them pills for the dog to take an it cleared up. Our dog got this ear issue while there and we went to our vet and told them what had happened to their dog. They told us that it required steroids and put him on them this made him aggressive. We were told to discontinue the steroids.
Avatar f tn I have had itchy, flaking, draining ears ever since swimming in a pool down at DisneyLand 25 years ago. I would use the prescription antibiotics drops, which would relieve the problem for a little while, but then the whole thing would start over again. Recently I have used two new product that seem to be the answer. Don't laugh but there is a non-prescription otic solution used on dogs with the same types of symptons called ZYMOX with hydrocortisone (Amazon.com).
Avatar f tn My symptoms are getting rabbit pellet stools every day and there is pain in my bottom and the urge to go is very sudden and there is dry skin all over my face, nose, lips, in my ears which makes them itchy and dryness in my eyes. Avatar f tn There is no accurate skin or blood test for food allergy, the test and treatment is to feed a diet with one protein and one carbohydrate source that your dog has never been exposed to before (I have the most succes with Royal Canin rabbit/potato or home cooked rabbit or pinto beans and potato) and no other treats, table scraps, rawhides, milkbones or other foods for 6-8 weeks.
Avatar m tn I am a 14 year old male. I have had very itchy ears for a few years and I always rubbed and scratched them. This irritated them, and in recent times I have noticed a slight decrease in hearing. Every now and then I have a ringing in my ears. I think it's caused by the damage I caused to my ears. I'm scared and am trying to stop irritating my ears so no more damage occurs. But it just itches so much! How do I deal with the itching? Is there any way to heal the damage caused?

Avatar f tn Since being pregnant has any of u ladies had to deal with ur outer nose and ears being itchy all the time? Please someone answer...
548408 tn?1214692039 Check her for bugs. My rabbit got maggots when she got poop stuck to her. The vet told us to wash he in salt water and then dry her well. We did this and she died during the night. Im not suggesting this because she died. She could have died cuz she wasnt dried enough and got too cold, the salt water affected her, or if it was cuz of the maggots but it might help. I bath my bunny i have now with a soft baby soap and warm water then towel dry her hand put her near the fire place.

Avatar f tn He has a clean looking stump with fur grown over it. One of his ears is also cut (1/4 is missing), but again, no blood. I will keep him since he has obviously been abandoned but I have a few questions: 1. I heard they need Hay (Timothy Hay) to be exact for proper digestion, is this correct? 2. How do you tell if its a male or female? Is is supposed to be obvious? 3. I have noticed that this bunny's urine is amost a cloudy white-yellow color, is it normal to have a cloudy appearance? 4.
Avatar n tn Getting my ears pierced, watching fatal attraction where the rabbit was in the pot, candles burning in the church, watching an NG Tube being pulled out and put back in, seeing my face in the mirror after a car accident, injuring my finger as it bled everywhere, watching the vet work on my horse and cat with gross situations, walking back to my bed after my back surgery, stitches being taken out of my knee, working on a production line in a food plant.
Avatar m tn What else did they do for her at the vet, gastric is a very dangerous situation for a rabbit and not a lot of vets special in rabbit care. She should have been giving IV fluids too. Give your rabbit the highest fiber food you can find and lots of hay. Timothy is great and high in fiber. It will help push things through. If your rabbit is still eating that a great sign. the medicine is probably a rabbit laxitive of some sort. A little belly rub never hurt either.
Avatar f tn A week ago I went to see a doctor to check my ears. She said everything was ok and helped me clean both of my ears with what looked like long teasers. She pulled out quite a bit of ear wax which, to my surprise, was dark brown in colour. The ear wax was in both right and left ear though the left one never caused any problems. She told me everything was fine and that I should avoid getting water into my ears (I rarely swim though). Now, one week later, my ear is still very itchy.
