There must be some home-regiments that can be tried, but as my experience is with dogs I'll not suggest any here... may be much the same.
Cleaning is the best first step, not sure what to use on a cat/kitten.

I have a 4 month old cockapoo who has chronic itchy ears. We've been to the vet twice who says there is no infection or mites. I have been using witch hazel ear wipes that don't seem to help. I'm thinking it is allergy related. What are the ingredients I should be looking at eliminating? She is very finicky. I've yet to find a food she likes. She doesn't like any treats, other than cheese. Could the cheese be an allergen? Any help would be appreciated.
Itchy head, in the hair, around the ears only. I have no visible irritation on my scalp. The itching feels more like an occasional crawling than an itching on the skin's surface. This itch is not constant, but occurs consistantly throughout the day. I use hair color. I have no health problems aside from 2-3 migraines monthly and mild anemia. This has been happening for about a year. Any ideas as to what I should check into for a remedy? Thanks in advance for the help.
Nasal saline irrigations over the counter like NeilMed or Neti pot are very effective, but worsen Eustachian tube dysfunction (water in the ears or feeling of fullness in the ears). The best diagnosis for this problem is a CT of the sinuses. Surgery is recommended to patients that fail maximal medical treatment.

Could it be Meniere's disease? See an ear, nose & throat specialist. I had it. One's body retains too much fluid in one or both ears. I used to faint when I exercised. There are a couple of things doctors do. The most important is reduce salt intake to practically nothing. The doctor may prescribe a diuretic. There are other pills, too.
TGel by Neutrogena is grest. It smells a little medical but ive gotten used to it and love it now. Its about 16$...
I have eczema and it works best. You could try had and shoulders too but I didnt like the consistency of it.

Like another poster I have a flakey, itchy rash behind my ears where they connect to the head. I guess this may be eczema? But at the same time I've developed tiny whiteheads on both sides of my neck between the ears and clavicle.
There are also some of these present on my upper chest. And at the same time I have a mild itchy rash in the contact area of my upper thighs and scrotum.
Are these connected?
I have a really sore red blotch kinda of above and behind both of my ears. It just recently appeared. I have noticed the rest of my head has been kind of itchy and sore, but not as sore as the spots behind my ears. I thought that it was because I wear my hair up alot but its been a couple days and hasn't gone away. Does anyone know what this might be?
t use the ones that you poke in your ears because my ears are sore an regular head phones make my ears hot and itchy. I am looking for advice on headphones that promote healthy ears for people with a weakness for ear infections.
I don't want a full occupational health assessment because they cost a lot of money and I know my company will pay for the headphones I need.

I've been experiencing this "weird dizziness" and occasional spot headaches for almost 2 weeks now. The headaches are mild, the dizziness is annoying. It's like a "hangover" that wouldn't go away.
I've been to an Opthalmologist and an ENT doctor last week. And they said everything was normal, good eyes, normal ears. And i was diagnosed negative for vertigo.
For about 2months now I have been experiencing hotness inside my left chest area, something it feels like hot air is coming out of my two ears. What could be the problem with me. Then lately, my nipples started itching though that has eased a little bit now. I am quite concerned. I have also arranged to see a gynaecologist next week.
I have had itchy, flaking, draining ears ever since swimming in a pool down at DisneyLand 25 years ago. I would use the prescription antibiotics drops, which would relieve the problem for a little while, but then the whole thing would start over again. Recently I have used two new product that seem to be the answer. Don't laugh but there is a non-prescription otic solution used on dogs with the same types of symptons called ZYMOX with hydrocortisone (Amazon.com).
The next few days the rash became increasingly bad+ itchy. I used Miconazole and it began to work, until i drank again and it became just as bad as before. I went to a doctor and he said he believed it was a yeast infection and prescribed fluconazole. It also appeared to work until i fell asleep drunk with jeans on , the next morning i was irratated again. I returned to the doctors, the fluconazole no longer working and he sent me to the lab for a urine analysis; which returned negative.
There is redness, burning sensation and swelling behind both of my ears and it is itchy. My lymph nodes are also raised.
My question is any recommendations of treatments and whether or not a trip to the doctors is necessary if it keeps on getting worse? How long it should take to heal? I have some hydrocortisone cream but it doesn't seem to be helping. It has been getting progressively worse over the 2 days and it seems to be worse than my last reaction.

I've had skin itch problems for 5 years now & I've all but given up on finding solutions as it seems nobody can help me. I was in Malaysia for some years, which has a tropical climate & I used to get athlete's foot as a student all the time. I itch allover my body, but it varies. Worst, most annoying & most consistent is my feet that itch constantly, it just never stops, it even wakes me up at night!
I am a 14 year old male. I have had very itchy ears for a few years and I always rubbed and scratched them. This irritated them, and in recent times I have noticed a slight decrease in hearing. Every now and then I have a ringing in my ears. I think it's caused by the damage I caused to my ears. I'm scared and am trying to stop irritating my ears so no more damage occurs. I got my flu shot two months ago and I have itchy ears on the inside that's impossible to itch my chest is itchy and kinda hard to breathe. And I have a cough :-( I hope it doesn't hurt the baby.
For about a year I have had 2 matching red patches on each side of my neck about an inch below my ears. I do not wear jewelery or glasses so I know that it is not irritation from something like that. They are a little tender to the touch and look like hickeys or bruises but they are not. Any ideas???
I had an arthrogram MRI done on friday and about 2 hours later my throat got itchy and continued to get worse so that my throat itched inside and out and my jaw and ears and eyes itched. I took benadryl when I got home and it lessened for a while, the next day I was itchy again but not as bad. Sunday and monday my throat burned and felt "full". I am guessing this was a reaction to the contrast. (I have a shellfish allergy so i took prednisone and benedryl before the test).
Hello, I have been having a problem with my throat and ears for a long time, my throat is red and kinda swollen and it doesent go away for a really long time its like when u get cold and ur throat is swollen, its red and itchy and my ears are so itchy too. I have realized that some certain foods make my throat burn like spicy food or stuff with vitamin c, its also sensitive to dust and flour dust. Im 22 years old and im kinda getting worried that i might have cancer.
