Im from staten island NY and im 9 months

I wish I would have done the leg work when my husband had a hemorrhagic stroke in July. I live in a small city and the rehab center was a nightmare. It wasn't only my husband but I feel that many of the patients weren't taken care of. Whenever someone would push the nurse button it would take them forever to get there. My husband had some bad experiences there and I pray that he'll never have to go back there for anything.

i have insurance.. im just gonna call every rehab in NY 2morrow and see if ne will accept me..

hi all, i am considering going to the chiari center in long island, i am so tired of the doctors here not knowing much about chiari and related conditions. they do not even realize all the symptoms that come with chiari. i have had a decompression that took away symptoms for a few months but now they are all back and have more symptoms i am dealing with also. everytime i see another doctor they put me on another med for pain, headaches, nerve pain etc.

if i was to check into a detox center who wud b able to find out i went...

I do not have any itchiness or redness (start of Pinkeye) but the blotches are preventing me from seeing completely. What could this be? I live on Long Island, NY and its sunny today but I wear sunglasses with UV protection. So im not sure where this came from. Please help.

My question is... Can he still get inpatient therapy at an actual rehab center/hospital and who would cover it? We were told if he left the nursing home he'd lose his medicaid benefits. My dad is doing so well right now and he needs and wants more of it. My family and I are not sure what to do. Any help would be great.

She is leaving the rehab center. 3 months there and she has not gotten better. Sorry to say.

Watching Heidi Fleiss was really sad.. I saw her on celebrity rehab where she retreated to the desert with a bunch of parrots! It was so sad bc you could see how much pain she was in. Dennis Rodman was like watching a train about to fly off the tracks.. He kinda had the "im not an addict" mentality even while in rehab! I KNEW Kim Richards was on pills and stuff... You could just tell. She went to rehab and looks like she's doing GREAT now!!

If you live by yourself, you may also want to ask your surgeon about possibly sending you to a nursing home/rehab center for a short time following your next surgery to help you for a while. You're ability to do much of anythin gis going to compromised with the use of only one side and it may take a while for you to get used to it all. The nursing home/rehab center can help you with physical therapy, teaching you how to transfer from the wheelchair to the bed, tub, toilet, etc.

Im living in NY but moving to buffalo .. any one know if i should continue seeing drs in ny or do u know of any one in buffalo?

Like being in jail, you are unable to get drugs and alcohol in a treatment center and there are no guarantees that you can continue on the sober path, when out in real life. The outpatient treatment center, the last one i went to, was the best for me. Because I learned there how to navigate in the real world.

Now he has a half inch bed sore and he is kinda giving up. Dec 17 the rehab center suggested hospice plan ideas. Disappointing.

He was immediatly transfered to a nursing home/rehab center once it was done. He had a fast recovery there, but he ate really well there and they cut down the amount they used in the tube until finally he had it removed completely. I don't know if it was the hosptial food was so nasty that he wouldn't eat but he liked the food at the home. The more nutrition he got the stronger he got so I do believe that it helps with strength and health.

I have both from my last baby and the nursing cover was great for nip. The canopy was great as I'm in NY and the winters are quite cold. Helped to keep that cold air away from my little one :) The coupon out there I don't recommend is the seven slings baby sling. They are so stiff and uncomfortable. I would recommend a Boba wrap instead.
