Avatar f tn Call your local pharmacist. We at MedHelp are not allowed to give out dosing instructions. Your pharmacist will be able to tell you exactly how to dose the medications. Also, it would be wise to get a timer and set it and some alarms for reminders. I hope other here can tell you more about your other questions. Best of luck to you going forward.
Avatar n tn That depends on your doctors comfort levels in prescribing , a patients ability to tolerate side effects, other medical conditions, effectiveness of using opiates, but typically- most physicians will not prescribe over 90 to 100 MME mg dosing per day-(Morphine equivalent dosing per day)- and typically only for patients who have been on opiates for some time. MME dosing combines both long acting and immediate release types of opiates to reach 90-100mg MME daily.
Avatar f tn What about something like Imitrex? I'm not sure if it is addicting but when I had a spinal headache from a pineal tap it helped a lot. And I was told that it the worst headache you can ever have. It took it with another migraine medicine (forgot name but started with a M) for about a week. I was told they are non narcotic and habit forming. Just an option to try or talk sbout.
Avatar f tn Everyone should read those monoliths - not only if you have allergies, but to get dosing instructions, drug interactions and all those other important tidbits of information. I just started cipro, and would not have known the mass qty of water I am supposed to drink if it hadn't been for that sheet.
Avatar m tn I am so glad that you asked about imitrex! I take a triptan, like imitrex, and personally I think that triptans are the best treatment for acute migraines, and they are also the most prescribed medication for acute migraines.
Avatar f tn I don't have much of a question, but wanted to introduce myself. I've periodically had migraines throughout my life, but they were never very often. However, that changed since I've been diagnosed with lupus and fibromyalgia (as well as other chronic pain issues). Especially since the fibro was discovered (about 15 years ago), my migraines have increased in frequency. The week before last, I had 3 in that week alone.
Avatar f tn Hi, You need to speak with your prescribing physician about dosing instructions with the Suboxone. Make certain you follow his instructions, especially going from Methadone to Suboxone. Let us know how you make out.
Avatar f tn You need to consult with your prescribing doctor regarding dosing instructions.
Avatar n tn Exactly - the med is the same, the strength is the same - the pack is just an easier way for your doctor to prescribe it rather than actually figuring out how many pills to prescribe - and also probably easier on the pharmacy for them not having to write out all the instructions on dosing.
Avatar f tn However, between him, his office, and the pharmacy, I have four different sets of instructions for dosing that. Starting to wonder. I've found, though, that the 600mg/day keeps the eye pain pretty well under control -- except when I forget to take it. I'm taking it only at bedtime, too, because it makes me so sleepy. I also take a 10mg amitriptyline at bedtime. Monday, I am to see the neuro-ophthalmologist who prescribed the gabapentin again.
Avatar m tn My peroid is 3 days late, done a pregnancy test came back Nagivite. Just worried if am not pregnant then why is my Period late ? Any advice?
Avatar m tn Hey old-timers.... I was perusing the "official" dosing instructions for Pegasys on the pharma company site. After you poke yourself, you're supposed to pull back slightly on the plunger. They say if blood appears in the syringe, STOP and DISCARD the whole thing. This seems rather odd. A couple questions: 1. I know this indicates you've hit a vein, but whats the big deal - why do you have to stop? It's still going in the old body. 2.
Avatar n tn s instructions. I am in wk 22 and at least I can get some rest, Always ask your doc about specific treatments, drug interactions and dosing specific to YOU!
Avatar f tn Tylenol is unveiling new maximum dosage instructions for paracetamol or acetaminophen in the US. The new instructions state a maximum total daily of 3,000 mg versus the old maximum of 4,000 mg. Additionally, it states to take the over the counter dosage every 6 hours instead of every 4 to 6 hours. These new instructions seem to be specific to their over the counter products not prescription medications.
Avatar f tn Im thinking he will say yes,, but he will also be able to give you dosing instructions on how to properly do that... so its important you talk to him first.
Avatar m tn You don't need to go to anyone for medical help, but try to read the instructions more carefully. Over a longer term such a misunderstanding could cause problems. Usually the 50,000 unit dose is "once a week" for non-compliant patients who don't remember to take their pills.
Avatar n tn Pharmacists must also check the database for last fill date, quantity, dosing instructions, and notify any prescribers that you attempted to fill another prescription from another physician. They may also be required to report to law enforcement.
Avatar f tn Most definitely take all your medications with you - if you can't take the actual bottles, at least take a list of all of them, including dosing instructions - but it's better if you take the bottles so the doctor can see them for himself. Best of luck and let us know what you find out!
1103688 tn?1257894552 t take Imitrex because it causes me to have severe heart palpitations (bad enough that I have to be hospitalized - I've only been given it once, and that was all it took). The thing that works best for me as a preventative is Excedrin - just plain old, over-the-counter Excedrin, but the problem with this is that I have multiple digestive problems, among which is the tendency to develop gastric ulcers, and my gastroenterologist would really like it if I would stop taking Excedrin.
3149845 tn?1506627771 Some people accidentally exceed the recommended dose when taking multiple products at the same time, often without realizing they contain acetaminophen or by not reading and following the dosing instructions. McNeil is revising its labels for products containing acetaminophen in an attempt to decrease the likelihood of accidental overdosing in those instances.
Avatar f tn BEcca we would love to help but it is ageist the guidelines to give out any dosing instructions best to call a doctor google sub they have a 1-800 # for info good luck and God bless......
Avatar f tn Yes. But like all OTC drugs follow the dosing instructions on the bottle and don't use it too many days in a row. With my last pregnancy I got so big and uncomfortable at the end I would never had gotten any sleep if it wasn't for a little benedryl once in a while lol.

1046692 tn?1255391835 Is it safe to take Lexapro and Imitrex? There is a warning on the package against this but I thought I would ask the professionals first.
