I've taken 2-3 tablets of Zofran everyday since week 5, now 21 weeks along and my baby girl is PERFECT :) nothing abnormal, nothing out of the ordinary, just perfect.
I took zofran for the first 12-13 weeks!! It worked wonders.
I was taken to the ER, where they ruled out heart attack or stroke. They gave me fluids and Zofran and sent me home.
Last night, watching TV in bed in an air-conditioned room, it happened again. Consequently, I had trouble sleeping and feel shaky this morning and have a pulsating feeling on the top of my skull. What could this be?
I am on Zofran for HG and have been since 8 weeks (now 17). I looked up lots of info regarding safe use and the large majority of women had healthy babies. Cleft palates are also formed in first 10 weeks and can be due to diet so many doctors consider it could largely be down to HG (poor diet because of constant vomiting/nausea) rather than zofran itself.
Nope, never heard of this. I was scared to take anything & doc reassured me that zofran was fine. Had IV & pills. With my first I had the dissolving pills. Can I be compensated for the horrible constipation? That was major!
I am taking zofran and it's perfectly safe and a class b drug. The ads on tv are just lawyers trying to get money for a case they can't prove. The birth defects they state are the most common among all babies born no matter a family history or not. Don't be afraid to take it if you need it. If you are that afraid though, look up the study of 600,000 pregnant women in denmark in 2013 that proved it was safe.
I've been doing a lot of searching on the web about this drug and now I'm scared to death to take this drug!! My doctor keeps saying to take it if I'm sick/throwing up still and I've seen on other forums women who say they took it and there baby was fine but then on other websites u see all these lawsuits women have filled bc of the side affects and u see how its hasn't been approved for pregnant women!!!????
How many of you ladies are still taking zofran? My morning sickness is terrible. I'm 15 weeks and I throw up at least 5 times a day unless I take zofran and I've tried everything else and nothing works. But I know my doctor like personally and she assured me that it was safe and if it were her she would take it. I've lost about 30 pounds and only gained back 7 so she's worried about my weight. And I've lost it because of nausea. So how many Andre still taking it?
Zofran had a recall on it and cause birth affects to your baby. Please don't take it. You can also google zofran during pregnancy it's bad for you.
Zofran causes birth defects, there are adds that state if you have a baby with birth defects and have been taking Zofran you're entitled to compensation, be very careful when taking this.
I just have this fear of somthing being wrong with her because i know for me, i tend to be dealt a bad hand often, and i dont want that to be passed down to her. Also because when i got her genetic ultra sound they said they saw a very small and VERY COMMON white spot on her heart, which she said 1000 times its very very common and will most likely go away in time and if it doesnt it still will not affect her.
Zofran has been around for a long time. It was developed in the mid 1980s and approved by the FDA for use in the US in 1991... an eternity ago, in the pharmaceutical world. It's a category B drug. Birth defects can happen for many many different reasons and often can't be pinned to a single cause - but if the particular defects mentioned in those advertisements were able to be caused by that particular drug then it would have been well known long ago and more than adequately documented.
ZOFRAN IS MY SAVIOR. IT'S THE ONLY PILL I'VE TAKEN SINCE I'VE BEEN PREGNANT. I won't even take anything for headaches. I just sleep them off.
