I am about to start Rocephin 2gr IM q 24hrs reconstituted in Lidocaine and wonder if anyone has had any experience with 21 days of treatment? Initially my doc wanted me to have the PICC line for three weeks, however I asked that to be changed to intramuscular injections instead, as I participate in contact sports, and hence would run the risk of dislodged catheter.
My doc's treatment plan is for neuro-lyme. Can anyone share their experience in side effects, improvment, treatment outcome?
Hi everyone I did not see my doctor for 3 months I have gonnorhea me and my ex grlfriend have sex last june 6 and then I have a symptoms like burning in my urine until 2 months later the symptoms like urine has gone on september this week I had a shot of rocephin and zithromax 500mg I take it for everyday med in 7 days 2x a day now today is my last med so it is possible will the gonnorhea will be cured??? Thanks every one so I can havr a goodnight sleep 3 days is bothering me thank you.....
Ok, so I had chlamydia once about 5 years ago, got treated and everything was good. I had an OOPS! about a month ago, (unprotected sex with a girl) and noticed some pain urinating, pain at the tip of my penis and now clear discharge. I went to the doctor and without testing, he gave my all three antiobiotics to treat chlamydia/ngu, gonorrhea and trich. In office they gave me one injection of Rocephin, and a prescription for Doxycycline and Flagyl.

This has been an ongoing battle for 9 months so far.
Actually went to GP today and she saw infection in ear this time.
Sinus still won't clear no matter what I try. Got another rocephin injection and another 7 days of amox. Also had blood draw but waiting on results.
I believe this all started from Eustachian tube dysfunction and I discovered using neti-Pot worsened it by default. So your comment seconds that.

Anyway, I just love feeling myself mentally again. I feel like I can handle everything I need to despite the pain.
And just in time. I've got more things coming up with my dad. I can expect this with him. At 82 we're only going to have more things pop up rather than less.
Had encounter with a woman of unknown status about 13 days ago. Briefly gave oral sex and head of penis rubbed up against her vagina for about a minute. If any insertion took place it would of been no more than an 1/8" although I don't think any took place at all. (Had been drinking)
Went to doctor today and she prescribed "Ciprofloxacin HCL" (500mg Tab) Took 4 in one dose for a potential gonorrhea.
They stated I may have Chlamydia/Gonorrhea and gave me a shot of Rocephin intramuscularly. My tests all came back clear, with the exception of a 1:2 titre on syphilis with a confirmatory test result. This blood test was taken before my shot. I was also given 500 mg of Azithromycin and 200mg a day of Doxycycline for 14 days. I went to a doctor after 7 days on the doxycycline and he took me off the doxy and gave me two shots of penicillin.
I got prescribed Norco, lidocaine patches, and diclofenac 75 mg. Yesterday I took Norco and I put a lidocaine patch and I woke up with weird heart sensation, like slow heart rate or something. Could it be caused by lidocaine patch? I also take the following medication:
Atorvastatin Calcium 80 Mg- 1 tab in the evening
Carvedilol 6.
So, after a massive setback starting on Memorial Day, I am now on Rocephin shots and Rifampin. Getting the Rocephin shots was a royal pain, with my insurance company's mistakes resulting in weeks of delays. I couldn't believe it when one infusion pharmacy rep (at a major Bay Area health system) completely changed her tone of voice when I answered "Lyme Disease" to her question of the diagnosis.
Turns out, my girlfriend had an oral infection, and she transmitted Gonorrhea to me through oral sex. We were both treated. She was given Rocephin and Azithromyocin, and I was given Rocephin and Doxycycline. I wasn't given Rocephin until after my bacterial culture revealed it Gonorrhea and not Chlamydia, but Doxycyline cleared my symptoms within 4 hours. (Obviously) I finished my 10 day course of treatment.
We waited about four weeks after we were treated before resuming sexual activity.
only 1/4 inch came out so a good 1/2 inch is still in there i can see it thru the nail. I attempted to cut and split the nail with razor blade but once i got part way thru nail it hurt bad. my co-worker gave me a new 10ml bottle of lidocaine, he uses it to give himself stitches. advice as to where to put the needle (i got from cvs insulin 31g-8mm),what to expect ie: will it burn- how long b4 its numb, and if i split the nail will it grow back? any advice will help..
Started with sinus infection, when that was over started with tingling throbbing pain across my nose, tooth, nostril, eye on one side. When I lie down its much worse and my nose gets stuffy. I have been treated with various nasal steroids and allergy meds. I have tried narcotics, prednisone, 4 different antibiotics, had surgery for deviated septum, occipital nerve blocks, amitriptylene, gabapentin, imitrex, topamax, cymbalta, I could go on.
Thought I would report about this incase anyone was interested...
I went in today. The procedure took about an hour. The only thing I experienced was some sleepiness which lasted for about an hour after. My pain level was about a 7 when I got there, but I hadn't taken my morning pain med. It was a 4 when I left, but again, I had been sitting in a comfy recliner with warm blankets, so it's hard to really tell.
