we have tried several meds. currently he is on 50 mg of vyvanse, 40 mg of citalopram and 2mg of abilify a day. his behavior is beyond horrible. should i just take him off meds?

I also noticed that Vyvanse lasts about 6 hours for me so my Doctor gave me 20 mg Adderral to take in the morning and then I take the Vyvanse in the afternoon. Adderall definitely has much more of a kick to it then vyvanse does so I can see why she says it gives her more energy. I'm prescribed 60mg vyvanse and its perfectly fine. As long as you take it the same time in the morning. If you take it at random intervals especially at night it can really effect your sleep patterns. Which is bad news. Taking addy recreationally to get studying done at night is common but not recommended. Habit forming for sure.

Wellbutrin could be a bit more suitable for you with less side-effects if dopamine and norepinephrine is a problem in your depression/anxiety. Depression often leads to anxiety so yeah maybe when you took Vyvanse you had euphoric effects similar to those with amphetamine ''speed''. You said, ''you feel like 70 mg is right for you''' well obviously, your doctor didn't think that at first, so you were prescribed 30 mg capsules.
