A doctor prescribed Amoxicillin 625mg + Tamsulosin medicine for 10 days to me. I have a side effect after taking Tamsulosin (Retrograde ejaculation) or any other ejaculation problem.
Is this normal or should I stop using Tamsulosin?
Or will it (Retrograde ejaculation ) recover after stop using ten days?

Just as a follow up - Stupid Stone, as it came to be known, is finally gone. IVP normal. Urologist has followed up with blood work and 24-hour urine collection.I have my blood work results from the lab, but make no attempt to interpret them. That's my doctor's job and I see him next week to review everything. Glucose BUN, Creatinine, eGFT, Sodium, Potassium, Chloride, Carbon Dioxide Calcium and Uric Acid all in normal range.

So my question, how long to start feeling the effects of Zoloft? She is starting at 50 mg for a week then moving up to 100mg. Any information would be helpful.. If you are planning on working after you have the baby, it is good to work for as long as possible before the baby comes. here's why--- that time you take off counts toward your short term disability and the family medical leave. There are maximum days associated with both of those and you'd be using them to have the baby early. I worked until close to my due date with my first taking a few vacation days.
i would like ask u it is a side effect of tamsulosin .it is tempreroy or it will b permanent, how many days i should b take this medicine.
I know there are other drugs that instead of relaxing the muscles surrounding the prostate gland like Tamsulosin actually toughen them up so maybe I need to try them next. But if they don’t work, then what? I’m beginning to lose hope that anyone can help.

This completely disappears when I urinate after being in bed during the day and of course during the night. Is it normal? How much time I need to wait for this to goes away? I read in other boards this is going to last long, possibly 6-8 weeks, with full recovery after only 3-4 months.
- What about the frequency? Going every 1-2 hr seems too high.

It sounds like you have a UTI or a bladder infection. Flowmax should work within a couple/few hours, although it varies. You need to drink a TON of liquids (caffeine free) and flush your system. The flowmax isn't just going to magically make you pee... you need to give it liquids TO pee.

*Get your doctor to do a urinalysis and check for infection. Not being able to pee, or only 'drops' coming out is a clear sign of infection, at the very least.

I am using Flowmax (Tamsulosin) for about 3 months for enlarged prostate. I started noticing my Testicles hang lower now and not tight anymore since I have been using this medication.. Could this be from the use of Tamsulosin?
It doesn't sound like an STD to me, but if you're at risk for them, they definitely need to be ruled out. Make sure gonorrhea and trich were also tested.

Several patients do complain of orgasmic pain after prostatectomy and this is likely due to retained portions of seminal vesicle. The exact reason how this retained portion of seminal vesicle causes pain is still not understood. This problem is usually treated with the use of oral analgesics(pain killers) and tamsulosin is thought to play an important role in the relief of the pain and unfortunately how tamsulosin produces a relief is also not known.
Ask a pharmacist. When it comes to drug interactions, they are usually far more knowledgeable than doctors, and have databases in which to look up interactions. It's good to ask the prescribing doctor too (and if you don't have a viagra prescription already, definitely tell your doctor about ALL medications and supplements you take).
In the mean time, while regularly consulting urologists, testing PSA, its velocity, doubling time and free %,, having lower abdomen scanning (CT and ultrasonography) I developed symptoms of BPH mainly shown as a very important post void residual (PVR, increasing from 100-200 to about 500mL). I am prescribed tamsulosin 0.4mg/d and doubling dose to 0.8mg/d but PVR remains very high and considering TURP or similar.
