maxalt

1088430 tn?1259159773 Glad to hear the Maxalt worked for you. That is so sweet of the Dr to give you samples. Please let us know how the insurance responds. I liked Maxalt too, and now I can't remember why they switched to Zomig.
Avatar f tn I had a similar problem with Maxalt (a drug in the same class as Relpax-they are both triptans). My insurance would only cover 12 pills, and I need more. My doctor filled out the necessary paperwork for my insurance co., saying I need more than "typically alotted". The pharmacy division of your insurance co. can give you more info. If that's not possible, have you tried another triptan? Maxalt, Imitrex, and Relpax all work for my migraines. Good luck!
Avatar f tn FYI you can't take melatonin long term. My husband took it for a while and it started causing problems. I'll have to ask him again what the problem was.
Avatar f tn is this the typical way to prescribe this Rx...as opposed to getting a 30 day supply? Or is this just how this particular doc operates???
Avatar f tn s admitted that some of them cause him to haullucinate. I worried about the long term effects to his brain when we do get him off these.
Avatar n tn I also have hyperhidrosis and have been dealing with it for more than 20 years. I am currently taking Maxalt for the migraines. The sweating is made greater by the anxiety and as of late has been unbearable. I have been researching my options and noticed that Inderal has been indicated for all three. Is it possible to take this drug to alleviate the symptoms of all 3? If so, what is the recommended dosage for each of the three? Thank you so much for you time!
Avatar m tn My 18 year old daughter spent the last 4 months weening off Pristiq and now feel she really needs something for depression and anxiety. So my question, how long to start feeling the effects of Zoloft? She is starting at 50 mg for a week then moving up to 100mg. Any information would be helpful.. I realize everyone is different, but would like to know some experiences.
Avatar f tn If you are planning on working after you have the baby, it is good to work for as long as possible before the baby comes. here's why--- that time you take off counts toward your short term disability and the family medical leave. There are maximum days associated with both of those and you'd be using them to have the baby early. I worked until close to my due date with my first taking a few vacation days.
1767882 tn?1331409169 Should she look into Cymbalta? How hard is it to get diagnosed with Fibromyalgia? Help! I thought that a lot of us over here in the addiction forum deal with pain issues and depression so why not post this here? I hope it doesn't make anybody upset because it's not really about addiction. Apologies if it does.
Avatar f tn I also get migraines. have you paid attention to any of the known migraine "triggers" like red wiine & chocolate, hard cheeses etc. You probably have but I thought I'd mention it. Like the others, I take Maxalt for mine & it always works. Maxalt is from the migraine interrupter family & also includes imetrix & Zomig. Good luck - it sounds very difficult.

Avatar m tn I should have said how long will it for the symtoms to begin to go away?
Avatar m tn because without them I cant go to school, cant watch tv, cant be at work,,, so this medication is a must every day... I havent gone to a doctor since that time but now this is just getting worse and worse and its really affecting my daily living... what do you think might be causing this headaches..???, Am I really at risk of developing other diseseas or conditions due to overmedicating??? what should I ask the doctor on my oppointment, ????
1030950 tn?1261010513 ve ever had before that you could possibly imagine anyone having no matter how long it lasts for, you could always try going to an Urgent Care Centre or the ER and they will be able to give you medication to try and stop the pain cycle (probably different than what your doctor has already prescribed you) and maybe oxygen like someone else suggested if it is a cluster headache (as this usually can only be given in a hospital).
655875 tn?1295695107 One of my cousins gave me a Maxalt to try and boy did it work but it also made me incredibly high for DAYS. She didn't get a side effect like that and I remember being scared to death of how I felt. At that point in my life, I don't think I had ever had any pain medicine other than Tylenol or aspirin. At one point I went to a headache clinic since I was getting them so often. I kept a food diary and headache diary but couldn't find any real connection with anything.
Avatar m tn I agree with you completely. Alanon is the best advice to be given to someone when a loved one is in active addiction. It saved my life, by my loved one going. I've been in recovery for ten years, andas long as iIhad someone to hold my hand, support me and my habit and agree when the world was against me, why clean up. Again, great advice and good luck. I know you love them but this is best. At the rate your currently going, you'll love her into the ground, where my brother is.
1102283 tn?1257817472 The Sumatriptan tablets work well for many people, so if they work well for you then that would be excellent and you can just stick to them as your only prescription. Although, due to the extremely low bioavailability of Sumatriptan tablets, they do not always work well for everyone (although Sumatriptan is still the most prescribed triptan on the market).
1577473 tn?1296177286 Hello, I am a 21 year old college student and I have had the occasional migraine all my life. In September I started getting migraines more frequently. I had a really nasty one that forced me to go to a walk in clinic for some immediate care. I got a shot of Torridol that didn't work and a prescription for 100 mg Imitrex. The Imitrex didn't even touch the migraine and I wasn't happy with the side effects.
Avatar f tn Hello! I am 34 years old for the past 2 years I have been getting nausea with constant headache for 6 days before my period. It's to the point where I'm on zofran and have maxalt for headache. I can't leave my house because I feel like I'm going to vomit but I don't. I guess that's a good thing, lol zofran works. Once I get my period it goes away! Anyone experience this or have any feedback thank you!!!
