How long does zyrtec d take to work

Common Questions and Answers about How long does zyrtec d take to work

Avatar n tn I have hives on and off my whole life. I just turned 40. The Prednisone does work for me, but I don't want to take it anymore (for obvious reaons) The doctor does know that mine is caused by certain lotions, detergents, and crams I put on my skin. He figured that out a long time ago, when I was 20...The chemistry of lotions and other things such as soaps change on a regular basis. Also, they have discovered I am allergic to latex....when I wore latex gloves in a setting I worked in...
Avatar n tn He said he was treating me 2 ways - which, poor guy, I understand, since there seems to be no medical information available on how doctors are suposed to treat a reaction to this vaccine. My skin is not getting worse, but it seems to be slightly slightly improving. When I wake up in the morning, it looks better, but by a few hours into the day it looks bad again, I'm seriously considering becoming one of those alarmists that goes around talking about how the HPV vaccine is poison.
Avatar m tn Work with good doctors and they will eventually get you back to good health. It may take a long time (3+ years for me), but it is possible. Also, pulmonary function tests can be a little miss leading. The numbers are based on 'norms'. You may not be close to the norms even healthy. I have the opposite problem. My normal is far above the norm so doctors think I am ok when I am 30% below what is healthy for me. Basically, an FEV 1 of 70 for you may be perfectly healthy.
Avatar f tn I did get my endo to switch me to Synthroid recently after a couple of years of asking. It took me that long for her to listen, I am wondering how long it will take for her to do more then tell me i have to lose weight and that is my issue. Sad thing is, she has Hash also...but with my medical she is my only choice. My hair is falling out and I gain crazy amounts of weight on a diet and exersize plan, constantly tired, bad memory, dry skin.
874521 tn?1424120397 I think the meds have something to do with Abby's appetite. How great is that to wake up to him purring in your ear!!!!!!!!
Avatar n tn As an alternative, he prescribed zyrtec which is an antihistamine and referred me to a dermatologist, who wanted me to continue to take the antihistimine and then we would determine if I needed to have a skin biopsy. Meanwhile, I had contacted my primary doctor and asked if it could be allergies. Prior to my appointment with the allergist I had to stay off the antihistamines for three days which I did. At the time of my appointment, they did the scratch test and detected no allergies.
Avatar f tn (Which is very hard for a picky eater child) I have heard over and over that Selenium is a good way to go but also to be careful because she is a child so she does not take extra selenium . But I did just start increasing her Vit D levels and add Flax Seed to her meals and smoothies when I can.
1001981 tn?1293982081 You are very kind to take the time to write, you must know how frustrating this is, thanks very much and I will keep you up to date I what's going on........... your info is very helpful and I'm just looking for some kind of relief.
Avatar n tn It doesn't matter what temperature the water is, or how long I am exposed to it for, for the hives to occur. The thing I find strange is that it only affects my torso, and never my legs, face, or lower arms. I was only 2 or 3 years ago when i researched "water allergy" on the internet that I came to know what the condition was called. Everything I read about Aquagenic Urticaria that described the symptons, exactly matched what I have experienced for the last 23 years...
1278060 tn?1271112513 I've seen medical items stating that those who take have higher levels of Vit D and consume fish oils are less reactive to their allergins, but I don't have a reference for that. I have to leave some meetings and continuing education workshops if I can't find a way to get far away from those soaked with perfume and aftershave.
Avatar f tn Unfortunatly now the iching is on the intirer body. Oatmeal baths help for 10 to 15 minutes.. Does anyone know how long this stuff takes to work its way out of the system?? Or how it can stay around so long?? And why the heck is it allowed on the market in the first place! Cheers and good luck to all.
Avatar n tn These are water soluble vitamins, just so you know. And, I know it's safe to take high doses of vitamin B2, because that's what my neurologist has me doing as a migraine preventative. I thought I would mention this, because this could be someone else's source of the problem--on top of being allergic to various lip products.

358304 tn?1409713092 If your sleep issues are related to depression and anxiety, how long of a period of time do you take the Remeron before discontinuing it? I think what you've been doing on your own schedule is actually contributing to your sleep issues long term. If you are going to take Remeron, stay on it and give it a chance to do its job.
Avatar n tn I am 45 and I cannot live the rest of my life like this anymore. If that does not work, then I am praying for death to take me. I can't kill myself because I believe I will go to hell if I do that.Jesus cured so many people when he was here. I wish I could just reach out and touch him and I know I would be cured too. But he isn't here. Thanks all for reading this.
Avatar m tn - Intense sleepiness after taking it - Hair falling out everywhere I go like it's supposed to be a sweater - Anxiousness - Heart beating rapidly - Sweats and increased body odor - Buzzing inside body like being really wired - Teeth pain and dry mouth - Anger issues - Muscle pain - No period I was taking 50 mcg after being switched over from Synthroid 50 mcg. Not sure why my body reacts so weird to it but I couldn't even take it long enough (6 weeks) to get a TSH, FT3, and FT4 test.
1616830 tn?1298756423 I flush my nose out with warm saline several times a day. I take generic Musinex twice a day to thin out the mucus. I take generic zyrtec for allergies the others dry my sinuses out which makes the pain worse. I also am on migraine medicine. If I keep up the saline and musinex I do not need the migraine medicine that much.
Avatar n tn I am at the point where i am in so much pain i have to rely on 2-3vicodin every few hours and packing my face w/ ice packs, and then I have to stay laying down cause if i stand or sit up everything spins-- Im afraid to drive ,its like being on a merry go round... haven't been to work in 2 wks, went to the ER lastweek cause I couldn't take it anymore (I have had this for 2 straight years, every month and this is the worst ever!
217229 tn?1192766004 Advair, Singulair, Neonase, Albuterol, Combivent plus benedryl and if that doesn't work, I go to Zyrtec then to Allegra... I also drink a ton of Dayquil when it gets really bad.... Take Mucinex and other mucous thinners. It's been very hard to just get gulps of air.... Sigh. So Prednisone went in at 7 am today. I've been terrified that I'd have to take the Prednisone - for fear of "reactivating" the HepC virus... But because Dr.
Avatar n tn I do find that it is worse when I eat and I full so full that I can't breath, no matter how much I eat. But I yawn all day long, trying to catch that " one deep breath". I continue to go to the doctor about every six months so if nothing else she can at least do blood work and re-assure me that there is nothing wrong there. I don't know what it is, what causes it, but it is obviously a BIG problem for a lot of people.
1684282 tn?1505701570 I am becoming somewhat frustrated with the way a lot of my colleagues practice medicine. Disenchanted, angry would be the other words that could be used. We all get ostensibly that same training and all of us are supposedly in it to help our patients. So, how come have I been getting so many letters lately on my addiction forum from desperate people unable to quit taking the tramadol pills that their own kind doctors have so freely prescribed for them?

Avatar dr m tn This is also why the ears are usually affected before the sinuses—it’s a direct line from your throat to the eustachian tubes, whereas you have to take right angled turn to reach the sinus passageways in the nose. You may now be asking, "but what about the fever and the chills?" Any sudden, or abrupt change in your sleep-breathing status can cause an autonomic nervous system imbalance that can bring about these same fevers, hot flashes, chills and sweating.
Avatar n tn Mucinex won't work properly if you don't drink enough water. Are you taking regular Zyrtec, or Zyrtec-D? Zyrtec-D has timed release Sudafed in it, and again, won't work well if you don't keep well hydrated. At least 2 quarts of non-carbonated, clear liquid a day will do wonders for you.
