Common Questions and Answers about Hormone free range chicken

hormone

Avatar f tn TSH is a pituitary hormone that is affected by so many things that at best it is only an indicator, to be considered along with more important indicators such as symptoms, and also levels of the biologically active thyroid hormones, Free T4 and Free T3. Your Free T4 is above range, yet your Free T3 lags far behind, at only 46% of its range. Along with that your Reverse T3 is way over the range. I expect that the reason for those results and your symptoms lies with the Reverse T3.
Avatar f tn TSH is a pituitary hormone that is affected by so many things that at best it is only an indicator, to be considered along with more important indicators such as symptoms, and also levels of the biologically active thyroid hormones, Free T4 and Free T3. Both Free T4 and Free T3 are at acceptable levels. Even with the high Reverse T3, the ratio of Free T3 to RT3 is also adequate. So what, if any, symptoms does he have?
Avatar f tn Treatment should be based on symptoms and the levels of the actual, biologically active thyroid hormones, which are free T3 and free T4. Symptom relief should be all important. I expect that your other tests were for total T3 and total T4. If that is the case, you would really know a lot more if you are tested for free T3 and free T4 (FT3 and FT4). That's because most T3 and T4 in the body is bound up with protein and thereby inactive.
1026267 tn?1257591273 So that means you are taking replacement thyroid hormone. The range you listed is the old range. Over 8 years ago the AACE recommended it should be revised to .3 - 3.0. Beyond that, TSH is a pituitary hormone that is affected by so many variables it is not very useful as a diagnostic. At best it should be considered as an indicator, to be considered along with more important indicators such as symptoms, and also, levels of the biologically active thyroid hormones, free T3 and free T4.
Avatar m tn You are undermedicated. Your Free T4 should be mid normal range. It looks like your Dr is treating by your TSH which is incorrect when your T4 level is so low. That is my opinion....and probably why your having issues conceiving. Are you seeing an endo or thyroid specialist? I would.
Avatar f tn I would eat the same for dinner too. I bought some organic free range chicken tenders, seasoned it then baked it and used that throughout the week. My salad consisted of organic Romaine lettuce, organic baby spinach, organic kale and organic cilantro. And I was just using a dressing that's low in sugar. I also started juicing. This morning I drank carrot with apple, pineapple, orange, and added turmeric. I don't juice everyday but I have done it several times.
Avatar f tn Hi I have many if not all symptoms of hypothyroidism, I have been tested a couple times and am told I am in range, in 2019 my TSH test was 1.49mIU range 0.340-5.600 / T4 free 1.04 ng/dL range .078-2.19ng/dL. Fast foreword to 2/22 TSH 0.72mcIU/mL. Range 0.37-4.68 mclU/mL. T4free 1.24 ng/dL. Range 0.87-2.19 ng/dL I have in the last 4 months lost 1/2 the hair I did have and still losing it by the handfuls, my fatigue is getting worse.
Avatar m tn Note that many of us have found that Free T4 needs to be at the mid-point of the range, at minimum, and Free T3 in the upper part of its range, adjusted as needed to relieve symptoms Also, D should be at lest 50. B12 in the upper end of its range, and ferritin should be at least 70. If you can get that testing done, and then post results and reference ranges shown on the lab report, we will be gland to help interpret and advise further.
Avatar f tn 4 and she said that was normal. Mayo Clinic only recognizes the old range of .5-5.5 My Free T4 was 1.2 and the antibodies were neg. So everything is normal. I asked her about Free T3 she did not run a Free T3 so what about a conversion problem and she said if I did it would have shown up as a child. I think it's time for a new clinic what are everyone else's thoughts about this range controversy, new clinic and going 11 month after initial diagnoses to retest all the hormones?
Avatar f tn From your symptoms and your test results, you are terribly under medicated. Your Free T4 is near the bottom of a range that is far too broad anyway. It should be at the middle of the range, at least. Your Free T3 is terribly low. It should be in the upper half of its range, and adjusted from there as needed to relieve symptoms.
Avatar f tn My daughter was born without a thyroid gland and always VERY hungry the last few years she was on Synthroid. Her free t4 was kept very high in the range then, and her free t3 was very low when this was occuring (conversion issue). She has been on desiccated porcine thyroid hormone replacement (Nature-Throid brand) for 1 year now, which has t3 in it as well as t4.
Avatar n tn Most people seem to get symptom free with their FREE T4 about mid range and the FREE T3 in the upper 1/3 f the range. NOTICE I stated UPPER 1/3 meaning higher in the range. Do not let a Dr only treat you so that you get "somewhere" in the so called "normal" range. Each person is different but if converting properly the should be FT4 about mid range if not slightly above and that should result in the FT3 being above mid range if not in the upper part of the range.
Avatar n tn 0 (low) range 80 - 100 ng/dl, T4 free 1.34 range 0.9-1.7ng/dl, TSH 0.485 range 0.27-4.2. T3 levels are low but TSH and T4 levels are normal. Anybody knows how to interpreted this test?
Avatar f tn So the TSH is 197- no decimal point? WOW! I think the link I sent you talks about free vs. total testosterone. Hopefully someone else here has been through the hormone testing and can give you better advice. I just know what I learn in the lab and don't have personal experience with these tests. It's complicated!
535882 tn?1396576685 t take the dose that day so i think that might be part of it, last test i was in the upper third on the free t3 but over range on free t4??? i had the rt3 in the past was fine not sure how much the free t4 really matters as long as the free t3 comes up which it will on the higher dose?/ do the doctors care about the free t4??? not sure about the ratio on the compunded??/ last test 6 week ago i was 320 range 230-420 on the free t3? i don't know ??
Avatar f tn A more comprehensive thyroid panel includes TSH, free T3, free T4, thyroid peroxidase antibodies (TPOAb) and thyroglobulin antibodies (TgAb). There is also a test called reverse T3 which blocks the action of free T3 (the only hormone that is used in the cells for metabolism).
Avatar f tn TSH is a pituitary hormone that tells your thyroid gland to produce more or less thyroid horones. So a High TSH means that the pituitary is asking your thyroid gland to produce more thyroid. Which means that your thyroid level is low. YOur thyroid gland produces primarily two hormones. T4 and T3. But by far most of it is T4. T4 hormone is a storage hormone. That is it remains in your blood at the ready for when your body needs thyroid hormone.
