Was watching one of those sort of horridly-fascinating shows last night on TV that is about hoarders, except this one is about pet hoarders. They visited a couple's house who had 24 cats. The vet who was talking to the couple and she went into the room where the catboxes were, and commented on the smell, and she had handheld meter that she set down on the floor. It measured ammonia in the air.
So.... my husband's parents are hoarders and I've never been to their house but our daughter has. She's 3 years old. We have a little boy on the way and I just don't know if I want my kids going over there especially if I'm not allowed to.. Idk how bad the situation is and I know my husband is embarrassed. I've never talked to my in laws about it. They make me uncomfortable as is. I have been distant from them for the last couple months.
Not at all, just make sure the person is legit and take someone with you when you meet up. There should be a listing on there for yard sales too.
I would like to suggest that one of your listing titles be "Geriatric". I just joined the site and that's what I was looking for to pose a question about elderly people and certain medications. For example...Geriatric Depression..Not everything is related to Alzheimers. Just a thought as I really hesitated when I looked for a broad subject. Senior Health is just so broad for the people who have lived for so many years, and are living older and older nowadays. Thanks for listening.

Lol my daughter watches TV now at almost 5 months! She watches bubble guppies and the Disney Channel shows. It's the only thing that stops her from crying sometimes!!
For as long as I can remember, I've been experiencing frequent eye problems that I thought were normal. I was shocked to find out that no one I know has the same experience as me! I AM scheduled to see an optometrist in a month's time, but I am very worried and any guidance as to what is happening to me would be great.
The symptoms are appearing more often, and are possibly always present to some degree.
But me I would just go to a family members and stay there for a bit. Hoarders have a weird attachment to their items.
I know exactly how you feel. The only rooms that aren't messy at my place are the bathrooms & the babys room lol! I work full time & when i get home I'm like why bother?.. Hopefully i get a day or two cleaning spurt & get it done!

If you are staged as 3-4, you would be considered mildly cirrhotic, with low likelihood of needing a transplant anytime soon (unless you have other factors in addition to hep c contributing to rapid liver damage). Many people even in Stage 4 retain good liver function and normal quality of life for years. The new meds are expected to be available next year, and the success rates are very encouraging, even for relapsers.
Anyone obsessed with a TV show? I have been addicted to the show bones. My bf can't stand the show. He says it makes his stomach hurt cause they r detailed and show all the nasty stuff.....
Mike, what does cdu stand for? ( I know, it's probably very obvious but I'm having a moment.) Anyway, I used to watch intervention and the stories always tore me up. Some made me so sad and some made me so mad. I can't watch it now because I don't have TV yet (cable or a dish). I know that must've been a disturbing episode for you but like you said, use it for an incentive. I think our children are one of the best incentives for making us want to get clean.
