Common Questions and Answers about Hoarders full length episodes

hoarders

Avatar f tn Was watching one of those sort of horridly-fascinating shows last night on TV that is about hoarders, except this one is about pet hoarders. They visited a couple's house who had 24 cats. The vet who was talking to the couple and she went into the room where the catboxes were, and commented on the smell, and she had handheld meter that she set down on the floor. It measured ammonia in the air.
Avatar m tn I started to have episodes of not being able to walk. These spells as I call them go from being normal walking to a day or two of some staggering walking to about a day of not being able to walk without help. They then go back to a day or two of some staggering back to normal for a few days. I do sometimes have a problem leaning to one side after walking for a length of time. I am not sure if the neuropathy is related to these episodes.
Avatar f tn Ok, so my four year old has been vomiting like everyday, but only at certain times. He's started to go to preschool, and for the first week of him riding the bus he was fine. But after that, he would throw up on the bus, but ONLY int he mornings. I thought at first that it was motion sickness, so we bought some motioneaze to try, and that still didn't work.
Avatar f tn I know exactly how you feel. The only rooms that aren't messy at my place are the bathrooms & the babys room lol! I work full time & when i get home I'm like why bother?.. Hopefully i get a day or two cleaning spurt & get it done!
Avatar f tn Ok ty ..This is my 3rd deliverly but couldnt remember due to others being so far apart..but one i was 6.
1685280 tn?1305432053 I have recently found out that the "episodes",as I have called them in the past, are manic states that I get about once a year and is from having Bipolar Disorder, which I just found out that I have as well. A lot all at once. So what I'm trying to find out is, how long is this manic state going to last? Are they different each time? My doc just put my on 1/2 mg of klonopin in the a.m. and 1/2 in the p.m. I took my first dose this evening and I don't feel any different.
Avatar f tn So.... my husband's parents are hoarders and I've never been to their house but our daughter has. She's 3 years old. We have a little boy on the way and I just don't know if I want my kids going over there especially if I'm not allowed to.. Idk how bad the situation is and I know my husband is embarrassed. I've never talked to my in laws about it. They make me uncomfortable as is. I have been distant from them for the last couple months.
Avatar f tn Pregnancy is considered a "full" 9 moths so in our terms its to the beginning of the 10th month. Its confusing but week 36-40 is technically ypur 10th month but the call it 9th.
Avatar f tn m 37 weeks and just got back from the doctors and having my last ultrasound and was told my cervix is closed and measuring at 2.6 my question is what does that mean, what length does it need to be? Just seems like I should be at least dilated to 1-2 by now?
Avatar f tn Well, the doctors shouldn't just be concluding without testing. They need to be thorough in trying to discover the cause so they can properly diagnose you & treat you. Have they checked your blood sugar level during one of these episodes to make sure it wasn't too low? I believe you can even get a blood sugar check test yourself over the counter (diabetic section).
1745647 tn?1394105276 Mainly the length of depressive episodes, which was why I posted this question. I've just read about Cyclothymic disorder (Cyclothymia) which I feel makes more sense...
Avatar f tn Do anyone know the normal length of a cervix 16 weeks? I was told by a ER doctor that i have a short cervix of 2.5 cm but when i did my follow up with my obgyn she gave me an U/S and measured 3.5cm which she said is normal. Im still unsure tho. I dont see how my cervix is short when i had a full term pregnancy with my first son.
Avatar f tn On several occasions lately I have had some weird episodes. I will be walking then all of a sudden it feels like pressure builds up behind my eyes and they feel like they are crossing I get dizzy and have trouble walking. When I walk my body will lean to the right side and it feels like I'm going to fall over. I have to grab items to hold myself up. When I look ahead it is almost like looking through a small tube. It will last for several minutes.
Avatar n tn For the past 5-10 years I have had increasingly frequent episodes of waking up unable to move any part of my body, I'm "stuck". When my husband assists me with moving my limbs they are not limp they are ridgid. It feels as though all mornings not just when I can't move, as if overnight my muscles have been drawn up like rubberbands. The "stuck" episodes seem to most often after I've only been asleep for a short time like between 5-7 in the morning.
Avatar f tn Average length is 3-4 centimeters in length. I wouldn't be too extremely concerned though, the length you have is still relatively good, they probably just want to be certain things will be fine by having you on bed rest, possibly because of the quick change in length. I went into preterm labor at 26 weeks and my cervical length was 6-8 mm which is .06 centimeters in length.
Avatar f tn i entered into 24th wek today and my cervical length as of 20th is 2.1cm. Dr is measuring cervical length everyweek...next appt is on 28th.
Avatar m tn My daughter has had about 3 passing out episodes over the past 2 years. No findings. Advice was to eat better and drink water... she developed blank stare, unresponsive and dizziness over the past few months. April 10th she passed out and hit her head. Over the course of the month the blank stares, unresponsiveness has increased and now she has seizure like activity with her eyes, now its her right arm, and her right leg. Her seizure like activity has increased in length and several times a day.
Avatar f tn I have a friend whose first birth was her quickest and easiest with a labor about five hours long - her third baby arrived three weeks late after ten days of prodromal labor and over a full day of active labor. No guarantees.
Avatar f tn All these things just started suddenly and the only thing that varies is the length of time between episodes. He can go anywhere from having 6-8 a week to 1 every few months. He's had all types of workups and tests done but no one can tell us what it is. They've put him on seizure meds...they didn't help. He's been on all kinds of different medications and nothing has helped. I hope someone out there can help us.
Avatar m tn My beautiful Shi-poo Boomer is 8 years old. When she was a puppy she had these "episodes" I guess are seizures. She would go unconscious in and out of it and she would come out of it some 6 to 8 hours later and be her purky happy little self. She's probably had 8 to ten of these episodes until a couple of weeks ago she started having them back to back and I guess these are called cluster seizures. But still having them for 6 to 8 hours or more...nobody has heard of this...
662972 tn?1270166301 She has 26 animals 11 outside big unfriendly dogs that only she can interact with which is ok, 6 inside little dogs and 6 or7 inside cats now she lives in older 2 bedrroom 2 bath trailer which is fine but once you walk in door all you smell is cat pi$$ awful and her house is a plum mess something you would see on tv hoarders that bad. She loves her animals and takes care them but not house.
Avatar f tn My 14 year old Beagle has been having these 'episodes' for a few weeks now. She acts like she can't move. Even food won't make her stand, which is really out of character because she's a pig. She'll do her wanting-something whimper, but won't move. A few minutes later, she'll be 100% back to normal, running around.
Avatar f tn I began to get tingling in my face, arms and legs and brief/ rare episodes of palpitations and I noticed calf cramps happening at night so I stopped it. The tingling was mild an intermittent at the time but has persisted since then. In the last two weeks, it has suddenly escalated to full-body tingling/ buzzing, tinnitis, and heart palpitations multiple times per day with chest tightness that radiates into the front of my neck and a short-of-air feeling.
Avatar f tn Then, I noticed he became short-tempered and irritated very easily, which eventually turned into full-blown aggression. We did not associate this with the drug so he kept taking it. Then we moved and he decided not to get his Rx refilled by a new Dr....I think he was beginning to notice some of the side effects and put two and two together. Anyway, without telling me, he quit the Vyvanse cold turkey 15 days ago. He is still going thru withdrawal. Please, can someone help me?
Avatar f tn As for complications, it can range from a little extra bleeding to finding cancer and having to do an open incision for a full hysterectomy and other stuff. In that case a person could be in the hospital for a few days. That's not likely since at least 95% of ovarian cysts are benign. I have some heart problems too but I came through the surgery without a single problem. And laparoscopy means easy recovery. I was back to normal within the week.
