hoarders

3828469 tn?1358462325 I'm watching an episode where this lady has a week old baby boy and her hoarding is so bad there are dead rats everywhere! Like seriously how are these people allowed to take their kids home and keep them!?
Avatar f tn It is not a good idea to inhale aerosolized fish oil, although supplemental oral supplements are fine.
Avatar f tn I know exactly how you feel. The only rooms that aren't messy at my place are the bathrooms & the babys room lol! I work full time & when i get home I'm like why bother?.. Hopefully i get a day or two cleaning spurt & get it done!
Avatar f tn Judi, Are you sure it's a rash? My hands and feet were scalded/burned from the inside out from those chemo's. They turned red, they hurt, they peeled afterwards. It gets worse with every chemo like it's a build up in the system. I got to the point where my onco told me to wear slippers to work because my feet had burnt/peeled to bad they were infected. See if they will prescribe silver sulfadiazine cream for the burns. And, keep it handy if you're going for radiation.
Avatar f tn Hector, I have a friend named Judi, who was diagnosed with HCC this year. She needs someone to "talk" to. Would you be willing to send me your email addy so she can email you. I think you can help her emotiionally. Thanks.
Avatar f tn Dear Judi: MRI is a very sensitive test that is generally reserved for women who are at high risk or for staging known disease. Because of the sensitivity of MRI, it produces a large number of false positive results (leading to unnecessary biopsy) and for this reason, should be done in combination with mammogram, ultrasound and clinical breast examination. Kinetic curve and type l or type ll have to do with descriptors used to measure energy and describe the “masses.
Avatar f tn My lumpectomy surgery was on Feb 26/09. Thanks for your help and suggestions. Judi This discussion is related to chemo or not.
Avatar f tn Was watching one of those sort of horridly-fascinating shows last night on TV that is about hoarders, except this one is about pet hoarders. They visited a couple's house who had 24 cats. The vet who was talking to the couple and she went into the room where the catboxes were, and commented on the smell, and she had handheld meter that she set down on the floor. It measured ammonia in the air.
Avatar f tn Thanks! And many thanks for your informative & knowledgable posts! I read them all!
Avatar f tn So.... my husband's parents are hoarders and I've never been to their house but our daughter has. She's 3 years old. We have a little boy on the way and I just don't know if I want my kids going over there especially if I'm not allowed to.. Idk how bad the situation is and I know my husband is embarrassed. I've never talked to my in laws about it. They make me uncomfortable as is. I have been distant from them for the last couple months.
Avatar f tn My mother has been trying different chemos for the past year. We have been on a roller coster of mostly lows. She has recently been approved for a new drug called Avastin. Has anyone tried this and if so, what are your results and side effects?
Avatar f tn Can you talk to your PCP and see what he says? I have not heard of that as a tumor issue - but then again, I am totally a layman here. Maybe he can get you in faster if need be or get your scans done before the appointment. Keep us posted.
662972 tn?1270166301 She has 26 animals 11 outside big unfriendly dogs that only she can interact with which is ok, 6 inside little dogs and 6 or7 inside cats now she lives in older 2 bedrroom 2 bath trailer which is fine but once you walk in door all you smell is cat pi$$ awful and her house is a plum mess something you would see on tv hoarders that bad. She loves her animals and takes care them but not house.
4614494 tn?1368356385 I could just send them your way when they are done here . . They are going to need a 2 hour special when it comes to my story . . ugh. I just wish I could move my treadmill upstairs then I could pretend it wasn't there - kind of like I did for the past several years before I got clean - I think I forgot I had a basement (among other things . .
Avatar f tn I agree with Jaquta, it will be interesting to read the expert's response... where is that fellow.... But seriously, I would have to say that the answer to your question depends on whether or not there is any evidence of mood cycling before this. Your family member might want to read up about cyclothymia and hypomania which are milder forms of mood cycling. If you have access to a library I like the book "Why Am I Still Depressed?
1314073 tn?1282841674 You know my views Judi...now its time for others who have had RAI to post.... Bumping this up for you ........
Avatar f tn Hi! The chills that you experience are more likely to be due to Flovent than due to turmeric. Well, there should be no harm in taking turmeric. It is one of the most widely used spices in the alternative medicine world. However, please inform your treating doctor about this and do not reduce your medication on your own. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you.
Avatar f tn But me I would just go to a family members and stay there for a bit. Hoarders have a weird attachment to their items.
Avatar f tn No groups have been suggested to me or offered. I feel out in left field all alone. Are there any hoarders in this company, and what are they doing to deal with it?
307897 tn?1242419260 I apologize for not being on medhelp for a long, long time. I always felt so much better venting with you all. I'll be real honest, I don't know why I stopped. Now that is sad. I guess that there was and is so much going on that I just blanked it out. I'm still not working and money is getting tight. My whole family is telling my to apply for my disabiltiy but I don't know what to do or where to start. I need to go back to my rheumy and my GP.
Avatar f tn (an antidepressant) a little over three months into the lexapro, he had a full blown manic episode. He quit his job, left me, and refuses to talk to me. When he quit his job he lost his medical insurance, so he has been clear of both medications for a month...he spent all of his last paycheck and didn't give me any for the bills, he is overly confident in himself (posting weird pictures of himself that he thinks are attractive but really are not..
Avatar m tn About 1 year ago I had a priapism episode after a bit of an overdose of Cialis (maybe 40 mg) and alot of alcohol. At the time the Cialis was mostly for reassurance and not that necessary. My guess is that I had an 8 to 10 hour erection that went away on its own without medical intervention. Definitely a strange feeling after that incident for quite awhile... a sensation of slight penis discomfort that I never had before.
