1017213 tn?1301771273 The dr kept blaming it on eating fat stuff because my colestoral levels were high. But I was dieting and exercising! Then finially I got joint pain and went to a neurologist that then at last took a thyroid test and I was hypo. Every endio told me you lose weight when on thyroid replacement meds. My friend has. I however have to work at it hard! But it was possible for me. The joint pain I have is sjoergrens syndrome that sometimes goes hand in hand with hypo.
371473 tn?1198810190 I am 36 year old female. I have joint pain in both my hands and feet. I also feel tendon and surrounding tissues inflammation around joints. I am experiencing major stiffness in some of my joints in the morning - e.g right hand middle finger middle joint but not left one as much. My feet hurt especially after walking for longer than half an hour. Sometimes pain is worse when I walk and somtimes when I am resting. I am taking mobic and narcotics for pain which only sometimes help.
Avatar f tn I had 6x chemo treatments and 6 weeks of radiation. 12 years later I still suffer from chronic joint pain which becomes all over pain by the end of the day. I drag myself to work, and collapse on my bed after work. At times I wonder if it was worth the treatment, as I am so sore I am not able to do much. I take pain medication to get through the day. Have any other sufferers any advice re: new meds to treat the pain.
Avatar n tn the most common side effects seen with ARIMIDEX include hot flashes, joint symptoms, weakness, mood changes, pain, sore throat, nausea and vomiting, depression, high blood pressure, osteoporosis, swelling of arms/legs, and headache. Fractures (including fractures of the spine, hip, and wrist) occurred more frequently with ARIMIDEX than with tamoxifen (10% vs 7%). As for the burning...I,personally,have never been able to use anything but Ivory. Allergies.
Avatar n tn Could it be your tamoxifen causing the joint pain? I took Arimidex for 6 months until joint pain started moving thoughout. Switched to Aromasin and the joint pain stopped. 18 month later now my hips are starting to hurt pretty regularily, will discuss with oncologist next visit. Basically blocking all the Estrogen is not a great thing for the joints.
Avatar n tn I also seem to have many of the symtoms like high cholesteral, easy bruising, unhealthy nails, acid indigestion, intolarance to cold, joint pain, and loss of the outside of my eyebrows. To complicate things, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 and I'm on medicine that blocks estrogen ( Aromasin 25mg) and a antidepresent for the hot flashes (Effixor 75mg) because of the tumor being estrogen positive. I just had my blood work done the other day and I'm awaiting the results.
Avatar f tn I have joint pain all over my body and my shoulders hurt when I left my arms up so high. I get a lot of numbness in my hand, sometime find it hard to stand as my feet get painfull.
Avatar n tn I saw my gynecologist and she explained to me that the pain was due to the rise and fall of estrogen. My levels were low, but I was still producing estrogen during my cycle. I have had a hysterectomy, but I still have my ovaries. She suggested I take something like Estroven to keep an even level of estrogen in my system. I did not want to go on a low dose estrogen patch as she offered.
Avatar f tn Pregnancy can wreak havoc on your hormone balance, which could account for the joint pain. Estrogen softens ligaments and tendons in preparation for childbirth - it allowed the baby to pass through the pelvis easier. After two pregnancies in a pretty short time, it could be hour hormones are out of whack and causing menopausal type symptoms: hot flushes, sweats, irritability, difficult weight loss, etc. An endocrinologist might be the specialist to ask for.
107366 tn?1305680375 But my doc wants to treat as if I do have Breast Cacer because of the relation to estrogen). But, I have noticed more and more pain the longer I take it. My ankles, legs, knees, arms and wrists get so stiff and sore, and I feel like I'm 90 when I try to get up. I have oral pain meds...Lortab...but I work full time, and it's hard to pop a pill and head out the door to drive an hour's commute. Any suggestions on how to manage the pain?

Avatar f tn ve had horrible headaches daily, extreme fatigue and muscle and joint pain. My doctor does not think this is related to the Synarel. Anyone with similar experience?
Avatar n tn Is low testosterone can be the reason of following symptoms , muscles mass loss , muscles pain/joint pain and fatigue and last of concentration and low sexual libido and mood swing. 4. I have one daughter and my wife wants more kids , does testosterone therapy is advisible ? if not what could be the treatment . 5. How long will treatment take to improve quality of life and give me sexual life back 6.
Avatar f tn Some kind of very low dose of estrogen or use of estrogen creme should be allowed to stop this pain. I know the doctors say NO ESTROGEN as the cancer will return. Well it may return on its own and I do not like to take this pain medication. What research says that we women must go totally against what God put into us? We are all still guinie pigs in this treatment or so it seems to me and I really get tired of having to think constantly about this cancer.
Avatar f tn These include depression, anxiety, loss of interest in life, blunted emotions, joint pain, loss of muscle mass, blurry vision, fragmented sleep, memory and cognition loss, aging skin and hair, the list goes on and on. The ovaries produce hormones into a woman's 80's. I was in a miserable state - did not want to live any more - while I was on the highest dose patch. It evidently did not give me a consistently high enough estrogen level to improve most of my symptoms.
Avatar f tn I am a breast cancer survivor for 3.5 years. After surgery, I had radiation therapy, plus taking tamoxifen. My cancer is stage 1 and grade 1Gradually, my hot flash is stopped and my life is back to near normal. I noticed that I always very thirsty, my eyes are dry, my skin, hair also dry. I also have joint pain occurred in joint, both small and large joint.
Avatar f tn It did relieve the hot flashes but I think it has also caused depression and joint pain (knees and feet). UGH! I just took it off and threw it away. NOT WORTH IT.
Avatar f tn hips, knees, shoulders and hand tremors ever since.Has anyone else had?
