Your story is atypical of obese boys going through pubertal development, initial testosterone gets converted to estrogen in the fat tissues and as the testosterone level picks up normal manly features develop. So, as such I do not think you have any reason to worry. Try to reduce your fat, take balanced food and do moderate exercise and over a few years, the gynecomastia should get subsided of its own.
i am a guy. but i there's a small lump in my right areola(??) sometimes it's painful when touch. do men get breast cancer? ... will the lump eventually disappear or need to be surgically removed.

I was about to start my fourth month of clomid tonight but just got my blood test results back. The nurse told me that my estrogen levels are a bit too high and that I should NOT take my clomid this month. Today is my cd 5 and my estrogen level is 162. I am a 55 year old male in good health and quite active. I play in a men's indoor soccer league as well as doing regular excercise. My latest blood tests came back with a Chol level of 219, HDL of 48, Triglycerides of 60, but an LDL (direct) of 159. I weight 170 lbs and am 5' 10". For the life of me I can not get my LDL down, despite trying low fat diets (except for almonds!) Someone mentioned that there are two subtypes of LDL and that one is bad and the other not so bad.

Mt Melanoma was "in situ", which I hear is great. But now I am trying to do all I can to prevent it from coming back. I have recently read that both estrogen and vitamin C have been linked to increasing Melanoma. Is this true?

I am a 'healthy' 53 year old female. 5' 5" and 140 lbs. I have been in menapause for 5 years. (no period). I have taken herbal supplement, "Estroven" since the beginning. I have not had HORRIBLE hot flashes, night sweats or mood swings. However, I have had vaginal dryness. A couple of years ago, I began using Estring 2mg - which helped.
They also say irregular period is due to stress. I did my research stress leads to high estrogen. So I am guessing that is what causing it to be high. But I also read eating foods with lots of vitamins (ex. Selenium. Melatonin, vitamin b, magnesium, etc.) helps reduce it. But all this time I've been on a diet and I have been eating all of that. Does not explain why it is still high. What is a normal estrogen level. And what can I do to lower it? I have been eating less carbs, no sugar.

After the miscarriage the doctor removed the large cyst from my ovary and told me he found endometriosis. I never knew I had that disease and I don't suffer ANY problems from it unless it is the cause of my cysts and irregular periods???
