It sounds odd but is very common in children and adults.Hydration is important. The rash is most likely a sudden heat rash..but without proper testing to rule out other more serious conditions it is hard to make an educated guess. Good luck and be well.

I have had a heat rash on my neck, beside the jawline now for 14 years. I have been to a few Dr's who have said "Its just a heat rash, nothing you can do about it". My question, can a heat rash last for this long? Its been in the same place and has never spread. Its definately gets worse in the heat, it itches like crazy.

I'm from California n this 90-100¤ weather is giving me a heat rash it's down my thighs and ice packs help...anyone else get rashes?

IT SHOULD GO AWAY ON ITS OWN AND COULD BE HEAT RASH BECAUSE BABIES DONT REGULATE HEAT OR COLD THE WAY WE DO SO EVEN THOUGH YOU MAY THINK HE IS NOT IN THE HEAT JUST YOU HOLDING HIM OR SWADDLING HIM IN A BLANKET COULD BE THE CAUSE.

hives are itchy irregular raise patches of redness and heat can heighten an allergic reaction if your son has been out in the heat when the rash came. it may also be heat rash, but the benedryl and bactine would do him no harm if you give them and they are not what is needed. a cold wash cloth works well on hives and heat rash.

Sorry your little one is having diaper rash. My first daughter got diaper rash when I tried being fancy and bought her Huggies Supreme. I realized she was allergic to it and I switched her to LUVS. I've always used this powder call Caldesene, its in a pink bottle and you can find it in any CVS or Walgreens. It is so good it formulated to keep moisture away from their skin. You can use it on prickly heat too.

My four yr old came home with what looks like heat rash the first day on her nexk, back of ears. Eye lids, and forehead. The most important thing is to not wear perfume in the first place. Trust me, as long as you don't smell bad, no one cares. And some of us much prefer it when people forgo the perfume (it burns my nose). I would not put neosporin on heat rash if it's not infected. You want the area to stay nice and dry, not all gooey, and there's no need for the antibiotics if you don't have open sores. I've never heard of baking soda being any good.

Have you ruled out heat rash??? I don't know how itchy it is but heat rash involves blocked sweat glands and it can definately form into a raised rash. Another possibility is discoid eczema. Unexplained dermatitis is a real thing as well. I have 'something' going on with one of my fingers. It will flair up into an itchy, very small raised rash, and then I scratch and the skin gets shiny and it peals. It does this a couple of times a year and is ONLY on my pinkie. ?????

One should also contact a doctor if the rash seems worse and fever is present. In most cases, prickly heat will resolve within a few weeks without medical attention or intervention. Regards.

Hi All, I seem to have developed some kind of heat or sun rash that i experience every time i go overseas. It normally appears within 15 minutes of exposure to sun. I've tried all different types of sunscreens that are meant to be very friendly with no luck. Once it's appeared pretty much nothing will calm it down including air con, antihystamines or steroid creams (which i don't like using).

You can use "butt paste" lol thats the actual name of it lol its a diper cream from walmart and it works wonders

Turns out to be prickly heat rash, day three and starting to fade. She had a heat rash, we worked up a real sweat, and heat rash is now confirmed another STD. Atopic dermatitis may be considered here.Your rash appears to be triggered by heat and the incidence reverts spontaneously after a few minutes once in a cooler environment. I suggest that you have this assessed by an allergologist or clinical immunologist. An atopic reaction has to be ruled out. At this point avoid exposure to extreme heat and take frequent baths to cool the body.You may use mild moisturizers with menthol and camphor for cooling effects .

Anyone else suffering in this heat?? I'm 34 weeks with swolen feet and I'm hoping it's from the weather. Don't have swolen hands or any other symptoms. Should I be concerned?

I was gonna guess Chicken Pox! Do you live out in the country or has she been out in a wooded area?? Are you familiar with red bugs? It could be that. I am NOT a doc, just a mom that lives in the country and has dealt with red bugs more than once.

the doctor looked at my penis and there are a bunch of white almost pimple like bumps all over the base of my penis and up the underside of the shaft on either side. I was worried it was herpes and the doctor said it was most likely a heat burn rash. it has been there for about a week or so. she said there is a chance for them to be warts.. but there are far too many to lead her to believe that is the case. she said i should apply cortisone cream i think?

Baking soda/powder baths or you can put baking soda/powder or corn starch on the rash it will suck out the heat. I get prickly heat rash every summer and the cool bath with baking soda helps tremendously. Good luck I know it *****!
