Avatar n tn I only developed this about 2 months ago when it started as bumps on my fingers and knuckles and dismissed it as a heat rash that I get every so often. I've gone to the Doctors twice about it and he can't diagnose what it actually is, he just gives me steroid creams to apply thinly 3 times a day. Not only does it look horrible it is very uncomfortable and at my wits end with what to do about it.
Avatar f tn I get a rash often between my thighs that I believe is heat rash. The pain from the rash comes and goes but my skin has gotten thicker and darkened in that area now. I also have developed small, painless bumps in the area. There are at least 50 on each leg; they are flesh colored to light brown and raised. They are pimple like but when squeezed, nothing comes out (they do bleed a little when squeezed.) I have had these bumps for several months.
Avatar f tn Can the Heat Rash I’m experiencing be a Herpes Outbreak? My first heat rash was last year as I was training to walk a marathon. It started on my Quads, and then my biceps. The itching was terrible and I was able to see a dermatologist, who prescribed Clobex spray. I have since had a few outbreaks since, not as severe, and use the Clobex. This last week, I had a heat rash on my upper left arm while on vacation, which I sprayed.
Avatar n tn Just wondering if anyone has found a remedy for the "hiker's rash" or the heat rash that develops above ankles when in hot and humid weather and on feet all day? I have seen 2 dermatologists and they are stumped. This discussion is related to Lower Leg Rash.
Avatar n tn Also it seems to be going away because now there arent that many bumps anymore and I have been using baby powder since I kind of thought it could be heat rash I am still going to have my doctor look at it today and take a sample to see if it is herpes and have my blood test done as well but I did look up the dermatitis and that looked really similar to what it looked like not really severe as some were but pretty spot on. Though I cant make a call on it being that specifically.
Avatar m tn Hello, Golfer’s vasculitis is a red rash on the calves of many walkers. It often starts above the sock line and makes red patches and splotches up the calf. In that case, taking bath with cold water after staying in the sun or applying cold wet towels may help. If your legs are itchy during or after exercise, with no relation to heat, you may have exercise urticaria. In such cases, antihistaminics and not exercising on warm or humid days may help.
Avatar m tn Hello, This persistent rash on the calves can be due to contact dermatitis(irritant or allergic),sweat dermatitis ,heat rash, atopic dermatitis or eczema or Golfer’s vasculitis heat rash(, a red rash on the calves of many walkers. It often starts above the sock line and makes red patches and splotches up the calf). Without examination,it is very difficult to confirm a diagnosis. So I sincerely advise you to consult a dermatologist and discuss these possibilities with him. Hope it helps.
Avatar n tn i'm 52 years old good heath i get heat spots in my left leg it's hot the blooms to warm
Avatar n tn When doing strenuous hiking in hot weather, a blotchy rash appears on top of foot and up the leg starting just above the ankle area (ankle area stays completely clear of rash. If the hike is long and hot , the rash will become solid starting above the ankle and progress upward 'filling in the splotchy rash". It is a burning rash and hot to the touch which fades over time, length depending on severity. Cool water relieves some but Cortaid creams help the most.
Avatar n tn At the same time his father and brother had cold symptoms. A few days later the rash appeared on his left leg and began fading from his right leg. My baby never developed cold symptoms at that time. I took him to our local pediatrician who said he had never seen anything like his rash. He then referred me to a pediatric dermatologist, who also was baffled, and ordered bloodwork.
Avatar m tn Hello, This rash can be due to hives, sweat dermatitis, heat rash, allergic reaction or viral rashes. Use a mild cleanser with moisturizing properties like Cetaphil. Also use cotton clothes and change the clothes twice if there is any increased sweating. Try keeping the skin free of sweat as far as possible. If the symptoms still persist then you can apply mild steroid. For the itching antihistaminics like Benadryl or Claritin can be taken.
Avatar n tn I just started having these heat sensations on my left leg (just below the knee on the calf on the outside of the leg). It's very unusual. It's so distinct, that I first started looking for a heat source when it occurred because it is never associated with pain. It just feels like somebody is holding something very warm to my leg or that there is hot air blowing there. I'll change out my chair to see if that helps. Thanks, M.
428506 tn?1296560999 I have the heat intolerance, especially when I first started treatment and I also had photophobia then as well.
Avatar f tn This is my second time tx first go around got a small rash on my leg over the counter cream took care of it.... THIS TIME oh my gosh I look like I have the chicken pox.. I have been to my dermatologyist and she has given me creams one for face and one for body and pills for the itching. I am sure lots of others have had this... Will it last the whole time I tx or will go away like some of the other side effects. I can't believe how much difference this treatment is from my last. Any info ?
Avatar n tn Cycling shorts commonly use a very similar silicon to that of the compression socks precisely because the silicon enhances friction and prevents the cycling short material from riding up the leg and creasing uncomfortably. It is possible for the rash to be exacerbated by heat and I doubt sun creams will do much to prevent it, posts above seem to confirm that. I chanced upon this page because of a worry that what happened with my compression socks, might occur with cycling shorts.
Avatar n tn I'm sorry, but I don't think I made it clear that the sensation of warmth was on the outside of my right leg. I'm not getting the numbness and heat sensations in the same leg. I don't know if this makes a difference to your comments. Also, I'm not suffering too badly - do you think I really need to take it further? Appointments with appropriate consultants take months to get here in the UK. There are very long waiting lists unless the matter is urgent.
Avatar n tn There is actually no redness or rash on the leg at all just the heat and presssure

Avatar n tn For about 2 weeks, several times a day, I feel heat starting to form on the outer side of my right leg. But I have no rash and my skin does not feel hot to the touch. Please someone help us figure out what is going on.
Avatar n tn If you are on birth control pills and the rash does not itch, it can also be a bruise. The other possibility is SLE. The rash can also be petechiae, which are pinpoint-sized red dots under the surface of the skin. They can result from autoimmune disorders, such as lupus or rheumatoid arthritis, bone marrow disorders such as leukemia, inflammation of the veins, as a side effect of certain medications like birth control pills. Please discuss this with your doctor and show him the rash.

Avatar n tn Shooting pain from the hip on down my leg. I can't bend over without pain in my leg. It's only in the right leg. I am getting scared about this & don't know which doctor to see. What can it be?
Avatar f tn I have been having these strange spasms or tremors that are uncontrollable and can last hrs, just on my left side only, in my arm and my lower leg. Last night while laying down in bed watching tv it was the worst it had ever been, it was also kinda pulsating this feeling, not a twinge, but its like a very fast shaking inside near muscle. My left leg felt like it was on fire, burning and it actually sweated and i had to keep that leg out from the blankets as it was just so hot.

1402484 tn?1280891787 Hello, From the symptoms the possibilities of cholinergic urticaria, hot tub folliculitis and heat rash need to be ruled out. It is a form of chronic hives that is caused by an increase in body temperature but can be idiopathic also. Take some antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin and apply some calamine lotion on the hives. If the symptoms persist then please get it examined from a dermatologist.
