An over the counter medication is any medication that can be purchased without a prescription "over the counter", but does not make the medication safer and needs to be taken according to the directions on the package and there is a need to be more vigilent and take into consideration individual health, the benefits versus the risks and potential interactions with any prescribed meidcations.
t wanna take to many tums an over the counter medicines. I am 29 Weeks and get a little uncomfortable at night this is my first pregnancy an i don't like taking any over the counter things, I'd rather go all natural... So I got this stuff called CALM.... it's a natural Magnesium supplement and work's great for me!
Milk, don't eat right before bed, lay down slowly and not all the way, prop yourself up a little with pillows, also over the counter relief that's safe for pregnancy is called Rennie it's a red box and quite cheap for how much you get per box (I got 42 pack)
yes yes, I am clean from Vicoden, Antidepresants but still am using a sleep aid, have been using over the counter meds for sleep since the 80's then went to prescription sleep aid and now I only sleep 3 or 4 hours using them. I am going to go off them soon. My Dr would like to see me wait until Jan just because I came off two meds this year and had surgery's but please don't go to prescription sleep aids I think it is harder to get off them than OCT.
I've had it bad almost my whole pregnancy. I'm now 33 weeks and if I don't take over the counter Prilosec Id probably die!!
Zantac is amazing, it that doesn't help within two days ask your OB or the pharmacist what other over the counter heartburn meds you can have.
