Avatar f tn Some women drink coffee everyday. Its not recommended to have more than a cup. I personally have stopped coffee and one cup once I could feel movement kept the baby up all day. I still had tea and chocolate, however if you get heartburn down the road, caffeine makes it worse just so you know.

Avatar m tn I'm having anxiety right now. For the past 4 weeks, im experiencing heartburn and diarrhea in the morning(once a day). Not having stomach cramps and pain. 6 days ago I started avoiding coffee , milk, tea, soda, spicy food. I started taking antacid after meal. I ate more meat, food rich in fiber and psyllium fiber. My stool are now formed and soft in my first Po-Poh in the morning and after 30 min, my second po-Poh is watery again. What causes this? Is this anxiety related?
Avatar f tn He drinks alot of coffee and coke which I think is one of the causes of heartburn but he also eats spicy foods. He just cant seem to eat anything healthy. I wouldn't know if he has or has had any other problems because he doesn't like to see the doctor. The only reason he saw the heart specialist is because he had a chest pain and he blacked out. So his whole family made him go because he is very hard headed. He doesn't drink or do drugs. He has no food allergies that I know of.
Avatar f tn I am six weeks pregnant. I have a cup of coffee every morning. Not more than that. Is that ok? Has anybody asked their doctor about this.
10063406 tn?1407564033 It's really 5 a.m & I'm starving but this heartburn is not making me want to eat...
Avatar f tn but also remember that coffee can cause really bad heartburn so maybe thatll help keep you away. It helped me because my heartburn has been awful!
Avatar n tn It all depends on the severity of the situation and how well the medication is working, in addition to your diet. If you make sure to avoid any acidic foods (citrus & berry juices and fruits, garlic, coffee, carbonated drinks), as well as taking your medication as directed, you may be looking at at 6 week recovery time. Of course, only your doctor can determine whether this is sufficient. Was there any reason given for the gastritis?
Avatar n tn Strange thing is i have no heartburn or chest pain. In mornings i have 1-2 cups of coffee. Hour later small carton of milk with pastry. 15 minutes later i'm burbing mouthfulls of clear black coffee. Where'd milk go? Go to an early matenee movie. Popcorn (too much) Go home eat light dinner. meat, veg, starch. hour later belching huge mouthfulls of popcorn this happens every morning and evening no what i eat it seems.
Avatar f tn Well I drink a cup every morning and then a soda sometimes. I always have and I did when I was pregnant with my daughter too. I'm almost 37 weeks so I think it'll be okay. The coffee I brew at home isn't decaf but I should totally get it since caffeinated coffee doesn't wake me up anyways. Once I have my baby boy I really want to start exercising and just healthier in general. But I don't know if I could actually ever give up coffee.

955560 tn?1250194545 Hi, some people suffer from heartburn due to anxiety, panic attack or stress. Heartburn is due to gastric acid, this can happen in the breast bone (the bone in the middle both left and right of the rib cage, also know as the esophagus. This can be like burning sensation or pain which feels like near the heart. If this occurs often you may have GERD. If you feel at somepoint when you burp or breath out, you taste and feel acid appear up your throat and mouth.

755829 tn?1246919225 Hi there, I provide some basic advice on other forums, but am looking for some advice of my own now, I am wondering if there are health benefits in cutting out coffee and replacing it with decafe coffee, some friends say its good others say it's no better?
Avatar m tn I've had success with drinking coffee before bedtime with RLS. that just goes contrary to all logic. I've been doing some research on caffeine and found that it regulates certain neurotransmitters and increases dopamine levels. this coming from someone with extreme to severe RLS and currently taking meripex to help. I have found I can decrease my meripex by doing the above.........
Avatar m tn I would like to add that heartburn could be due to other causes as well like a bile reflux or an eosinophilic esophagitis. The treatment for bile reflux is slightly different from acid reflux. Eosinophilic esophagitis though common in children is reported in adults also. You have mentioned about a tight valve. Did you try to mean a normal valve?
