I worked at home and was back at my desk the day I got home from the hospital. I was more comfortable at my desk or the kitchen table than in the low chairs and sofa we have.
Six weeks later, I was running an out-of-town convention. My husband insisted on driving me to the meeting and he stayed to do the heavy lifting. After we got home, I got my port and started chemo. (Doctor was fine with that and his nurse was disapproving that I waited 8 weeks to start chemo.
Bad enough dealing with being sick and the rest with chemo and now this. Next Chemo is the 8th of june. They can not do anything until I am finished with the chemo and it was suggested that I live with the hernia.:( Upset me so bad!
Why would I want to live with a hernia.:( Has this happen to anyone else?
Ihave had 2 RCHOP chemo infusions and even before chemo, I was having a real problem with abdominal bloating. I look 6 months pregnant by 5 pm every day.
Doesn't matter what I do or don't eat/drink, as the day progresses, my belly gets tighter and tighter.
I have battled with constipation and am working on that s/e as it is also quite miserable.
I have gone 1 round of chemo with 5 to go and weekly Herceptin during the 6 rounds of Chemo then Herceptin once every 3 weeks. Then I will be on hormone blockers for 5 years.
I had been taking hormones 10 days a month for 1 1/2 years to keep me regular. Anyway, I guess I have a FEW questions here. Cancer was receptive to both hormones....HER2, etc.
1. I wonder if the hormones I was taking, brought on the cancer. Since I have stopped taking the hormone pills do I really need the blockers?
I had my last period March 2008 during chemo. But my blood tests still showed that I was not menopausal until about 2 months ago, and this is 2009. Please follow up with blood tests regularly until you become menopausal. It's important to know.
You are doing great with your treatment and your hair will not really come back until you're close to being done with chemo. You look gorgeous as you are!

Sue Young had a good point, your Oncologist may suggest BRCA1 & BRCA2 testing if you have a close relative with breast cancer. There is another genetic test called the Oncotype test to determine if you are at a high risk for another cancer and a good candidate for Chemo. You probably won't need Chemo as it sounds like you are early stage, but only your Oncologist will know for sure.

It was a 3 way and my female friend had a rash but said it was due to her chemo, I later found out she has been lying to everyone about even getting chemo so IDK what this rash was. Her and I kissed and she gave me oral sex and fingered me and I later realized she had a scab on her finger. I gave oral sex to our guy friend who was with us after he already ejaculated. I did not have sexual intercourse with him nor did I preform oral sex on her.

Unfortunately tiredness, fatigue and feeling weak can be side effects of having the chemo. It can vary in the degree with each person and with each round of chemo.
Your Mother may need to supplement her diet if she is not eating well during this time but before she takes any vitimans or other types of supplements, it would be best to clear them with her oncologist.
I hope she starts to feel better soon.....
The oncologist prescribed Tamoxifen and 4 month followup visits. The only thing he did during these 4 month visits was look at the bloodwork. My sister-in-law had breast cancer 5 yrs. ago with the same lumpectomy, no lymph node involvement, radiation and oral chemo for five years. Very recently, she had a malignant brain tumor removed. She said her doctor had never ordered any type of CAT scan during the 5 yrs of followup. Another doctor told her that should have been done every 6 mos.
Then after I did my last cycle of chemo (high dose of cytarbine for 5 days ) on 8 Feburary 2016 and after 17 days I had Infection in PICC line so doctors removed it and had fever for 2 days then blood counts recovered by GCSF and finished chemo on 29 of Feburary 2016. My question is is it common to have these infection during chemo or I contacted hiv.
I am 11 months out of chemo my last CA 125 was 2.8. I was stage 3B and grade 2-3 and Braca 1. Two things if this nasty beast rears its ugly face will I have symptoms leading up to the rise in my CA. 2nd I am trying to be on an estrogen blocker as it was estrogen positive, currently trying Arimidex as fumara gave me too much pain have you tried these drugs right after chemo and with any luck. We are also looking at it as preventive for breast cancer. I am 54 years old and doing well.

My metabolism pretty much shut down during chemo. I was working out and all, but still I didn't lose weight eating as little as 500 calories a day. When I was completely recovered, I began gaining, too. About 20 pounds. I am having a heck of a time losing it, too.
