Before I was ever diagnosed with fibromyalgia I noticed a decrease in pain that I was experiencing, so although I'm skeptical about the connection, I certainly won't discredit the possibility.

It may take time to establish an appropriate and effective dosage for each person. Once that is established, you should expect to ovulate 5-8 days after the last pill is taken. If you do not conceive in that cycle, AF will usually arrive three weeks after the last pill
What kind of Robitussin is used to improve cervical mucus?
One should buy the plain kind with no letters after it. The only active ingredient is guaifenesin, and it contains 100 mg per teaspoon.

I don't think I'll ever know for sure whether I have Lyme or not! I have been working with a Lyme literate doctor at the Breakspear clinic just north of London, this is where I got the Igenex testing done. Unfortunately her services are very expensive and I very much doubt there are any Lyme doctors on the NHS. I will be seeking her advice again on Tuesday now that the results are back.

Hi All, I hope you all don't mind me posting this as I know I should see a doctor. However I'm scared and just wanting some opinions from people who know what it's like to suffer from Fibro daily. I'm a 30 yr old female who has just given birth to a beautiful baby girl 5 weeks ago. I have been suffering from a considerable amount of fatigue, muscle spasms,Painful muscle cramping and tenderness that radiates all over my body.
In that case you need a mucus thinner/expectorant. Buy an over-the-counter preparation that has guaifenesin, preferably only guaifenesin. Take a tablet and drink a full glass of water. It helps greatly. In fact the worst episodes I have with asthma involve serious congestion.
You can also start using natural anti-inflammatories. These help greatly and thee are no side effects. As to diet, be very careful about sweets and too much starch. These cause a proliferation of Candida albicans.
Guaifenesin, how much is an Overdose? My daughter 11 years old 100 lbs (big for her age), took (the correct dose) 5mL cough and cold medicine that had the following in that dose. Guaifenesin, USP 100 mg, Dextromethorpan HBr, USP 10 mL. Phenylephedrine HCI, USB 5mg. But then she also took (the correct dose) 10 mg of a prescription medicine Guaifenesin-Codeine syrup (generic for Robitussin AC syrup). It doesn't state on the label the quantity of Guaifenesin mg in the 5mL dose.
I've had asthma since I was little, and as far as I've gathered, expectorant is for non-asthmatic cough sufferers while mucolytics are for asthmatics. Is this true? What's confusing me though is why "guaifenesin", a component in one asthma pill I used to take, is used as an "expectorant", and the only OTC drug available for the purpose of easing the removal of phlegm here in the U.S.
The alternative is guaifenesin, which you can buy over-the-counter. Mucinex contains guaifenesin, but I would get the plain guaifenesin. It works very well.
I do know you only need the plain kind, nothing else should be in it just guaifenesin. If you get the one with that is mixed it can have the opposite reaction. Also you need to drink plenty of water!! YOu have to do this in order for it to work. I just started taking clomid and i read to start the guaifenesin on day 10 till ovulation. On a website for fertility i read that you need to take 200mg three times a day!

Has anyone ever gotten guaifenesin with codeine prescribe. Want to know feed back on it I'm 12+4 days. Help please trying to get rid of this plhuem I had still. But kinda un sure.

Every week I had my blood drawn to gauge how much my warfarin dosage should be.
Every week for months it was increased.
Turns out I was allergic to the guaifenesin, which is an expectorant. I had taken cough meds before that had this ingrediant and never had a problem........so why now? Our bodies change is the answer I got from my doctor. It's possible the Nyquil contains guaifenesin and you had the same reaction I did, but your doctor can rule that in or out for you. If your reaction was worse than simple hives, I would probably be frightened as well. Did you have trouble breathing or a cardiac reaction?
