Avatar f tn I have Hashimotos disease and have bouts of blurred vision, eye pressure/aching and irritation. Been over medicated for the 10 months but had this at times when under-medicated. Just lowered my dose 2 weeks ago because my ft4 was at the very top of the range, my ft3 is in the upper 2/3. Was told to go from 112 Tirosint to 100 and stay the same on the Cytomel. My rt3 was too high previously and agreed to the dose change.

Avatar f tn com/article/1217393-treatment Keep in mind though pseudo-papilledema is connected to SLE, Gravesdisease and thyroid conditions and if it is thought to have had more to do with dry eye's that's very commonly associated with celiac too so your visual issues are more likely to be connected to your known conditions than something else. You said "A year ago a parathyroid adenoma was discovered and I had that removed.
Avatar f tn ve been to many specialsts for both my double vision and my hearing loss and no one will say that there is a connection between the two. I've had double vision once in my left eye and 3 times now in my right eye. The right eye recovers in 7 weeks (with the eye turned in). The left eye had turned out and that took 3 months for recovery. I'm a very healthy 66 year old women and am very active, not overweight at all. I've never been diagnosed with MS or any other illnesses.
Avatar f tn Last year I was diagnosed with Graves disease and had a radioactive ablation done in April. Sometime around March of 2009, my eyelids became puffy and my eyes were usually watery. I called my Endocrinologist and asked if this was related to my thyroid and she sugg. I visit my Primary Care Dr. I did and he followed an allergy path. I finally went to an allergist who said that allergies may be playing a role, it was not the primary cause.
Avatar n tn I have suspected that the Lyme was flaring again, when last Saturday I suddenly developed an inflamed area in the white of my right eye. other than bugging me, and burning slightly, I have no blurred or impaired vision. It is slightly better after 48 hours, but not significantly. My eye doc said it was less swollen and less red than the normal inflammation or Uveitis he sees, and put me on steroid eye drops for a week.
Avatar n tn I have blurred vision in 1 eye. It has come and went for the past 3 years. I did see a doctor initially who said there was bleeding behind the retina caused by stress. He said it may come and go but was not serious. It is troublesome that it comes back. It had been atleast a year of clear vision until now.

Avatar f tn I had Restor lens surgery 6 months ago, days after both eyes repaired I could see fairly well, now my vision is very blurred, can't see anything clearly within around 8 feet and it seems to be getting worse. Right eye hurt something awful for about 2 months, that is down to occassionally, but it triggers a headache. Just returned from vacation where I was looking constantly, at night both eyes would literally throb. What could be the problem and can this be corrected?
2112641 tn?1334677683 also had positive test for lupus and was told to wait til after treatment of thyroid to have a re-test as Graves disease can cause a false positive for lupus.I took beta-blockers and anti-thyroids until the baby was born, and then had radio-active treatment to kill my thyroid.
Avatar f tn This could be something as simple as needing glasses or dry eyes to something like cataracts, corneal disease, retinal disease, etc, etc. We know you have blurred vision worse in the mornings and at night. I would begin with a very complete eye exam with an ophthalmologist then take it from there. Good Luck.
798555 tn?1292787551 I have heard of people having blurred vision with other thyroid symptoms. Most of the major eye issues are with Graves, my question pertains to vision with Hoshimoto. I had major hypo symptoms for years until last April, they have dramatically lessened from T3. I don't know if my slightly 'off' vision is a Hoshimoto symptom or good old aging taking effect. I am 42, so that is the glasses age for many. But, my older siblings have better eyesight than me.
