Glucosamine liquid gel

Common Questions and Answers about Glucosamine liquid gel

glucosamine

Avatar n tn I went to human vitamin store and got her some glucosamine supplements. I got the liquid flavored glucosamine and the glucosamine soft flavored chew. I know some cannot swallow pills. My dog eats the chews if I slightly warm them. She will not touch the liquid. I would rather put a pill in some meat or something. It is much easier for her to take. I put her back on a food with glucosamine and she isnt having any problems. I learned my lesson about changing foods.

Avatar f tn His front leg angles out at the middle joint, and is very painful to him. I tried DVM Feline Joint Gel two years ago, but stopped because he would throw up after taking it. Our vet says you can't give a cat pain meds because it affects their kidneys. I've been giving him massages, and he loves it, but cries when I pick him up Before I try the Bayer Joint Gel again, is their anything different anyone has had any luck with for arthritis?
1771664 tn?1317686285 I found a glucosamine gel kind of stuff from Petco. I smear it on Oliver somewhere so he has to lick it off- I've discovered that if I do it somewhere other than his leg he can't flick it off. He HATES it, but you can really tell a difference in him. He doesn't cry when he gets up or rolls over and he doesn't walk with such a visible limp. It hurts to watch him when he is limping and makes me feel guilty when he crys while moving.
Avatar n tn I know how bad it can be. I had a joint replacement in my left thumb but the implant failed and wound up having 9 surgeries, countless meds, procedures, etc. I don't know if you've tried glucosamine chondroiton. It can help rebuild cartilage if you haven't gone too far. It was too late for my hands but it may be helping other spots I have. What kind of doctor are you seeing? I get some relief from a prescription gel called Voltaren.
1773330 tn?1314171331 t severe it just ached when I ran. I just took Chondritin/glucosamine and you can take an NSAID too. It takes a month for the chondritin to work but I never got the knee pain back after that. I also started putting gel heel inserts in my running shoes and that cusioned the knee too. hope this helps.

4430052 tn?1355003242 Have you tried eating something dry before hand, I know it doesn't help with the taste, but might help once you get it down. May have to try the liquid soft gel next time. Lucky for me I am doing okay with my gummy one, don't like the flavors, but they don't bug my stomach and make me throw up later so thats a plus.
Avatar f tn The effects of etching only lasts whilst the tooth stays dry so even if the etching gel was placed on your other teeth as soon as your saliva hit your other teeth the gel would have become inaffective.
1348302 tn?1286575703 It's a great company, but personally, I'd avoid the liquids unless you keep them in a dark cool place, and even then every time you open the bottle it oxidizes some more. Gel caps protect the liquid -- they're dark and coated. Take Vitamin E, another fat soluble vitamin. I've been told that by the time liquid Vitamin E gets to the customer there's virtually no vitamin E left in it. Lasts about two weeks unless protected by a gel cap.
Avatar m tn 5 pound schnauzer and has been limping a bit after exercise. I have started giving her 500 mg of glucosamine a day and wanted to know if this is the right dosage?
161647 tn?1280608163 The only thing I can think of was that my mom started taking Glucosamine last year. Can the Glucosamine affect eye vision. Or does anyone have any suggestions. My mom is worried that there is something seriously wrong because the doctor said the next step is too see a retina specialist. Thanks for any advise.
1093971 tn?1257833640 Not all glucosamine products are created equal. In order to best evaluate a product, you need to consider several things. When your healthcare and joint discomfort is at stake, take a moment and consider these criteria: What form is the glucosamine in? What is the total daily dose? Are there any other ingredients? What type is the glucosamine? How pure are the ingredients? If you’re considering taking glucosamine with chondroitin you have another ballgame.
Avatar f tn I just recently started taking glucosamine and Chondroitin to help my knee recover from a dislocated patella. but for some reason my contact lenses have become very dry is that a side effect of the glucosamine??. I have used this type of soft contacts for a long time but never experienced this problem. Thanks.
Avatar f tn They are due to sections or specks of undissolved vitreous gel content sailing in the demolished gel-like liquid (vitreous) in the rear of your right eye, which throw black areas on the retina when mild goes into your right eye. That's why you suffering this kind of problem so you should go for an eye care specialist which suggest you or solve your problem.
Avatar f tn It shouldn't be thick tho. I use the gel and they come out when I pee as oil...
Avatar f tn I make a protein smoothie in the morning and throw in a liquid Glucosamine from Swanson (good prices) and a packet of EmergenC vitamin C with joint nutients too. also take liquid Vit. D (from Apex) and liquid Calcium, Magnesium , zinc from a co. called MRM, orange vanilla flavor - although tastes much more like chalk but still better than a big old pill. Still take loads of pills though, olive leaf for the arthritis 6 times a day for one.
Avatar m tn My dog weighed 28-30lbs and the correct dose for her was 500mg Glucosamine per day. The vet said the 'human' Glucosamine was fine to use, so long as the dosage was correct for the dog's weight. So it depends what your dog's weight is, how much you can increase the dose. As far as I can make out, dogs (and humans too) respond differently to Glucosamine. With some there are great results, and with some, not much improvement. You could mention this to your vet perhaps.
