When my guys were small, and even now, we gave them a bit of kayro syrup (sp) (the light kind, not the dark. I don't remember why, but I think it's because there's something in the dark syrup that doesn't help relieve the constipation.). When they were babies we'd mix it in with their milk and in a few hours...oh I had a lovely little present to go along with my happy babies. Now, we just give them a little bit in a teaspoon.

I went up there and took her to the doctor and she was basically told is was a stomach virus (gastroenteritis) drink plenty of fluids and it should go away in a couple of days but when I look up Gastroenteritis it says that it's common in people with weaken immune system caused by HIV. She took her 3 month birth control shot the morning before but I'm sure that didn't cause Gastroenteritis. My question is should I be concerned about HIV at this point.

My colicky baby cries a lot and gets all knotted up red and agitated when having g colic episodes. I bounce him, drive around, tried pacifiers, carry him front on chest with wrap and carrier, I coo him on my chest belly down, swing chair, bathing n massaging, stroller and even gripe water (mommy's bliss) . Breastfed babies don't get gas and reflux as bad as bottle babies (whether it's breast milk or formula, the bottle makes them gassier). But I would still try burping them when they pop off the boob.

If he is breastfed then going once every few days is normal. Breastfed babies don't poop as often as formula babies because breast milk is so easily digested and absorbed there isn't much waste output.

Hello! I seem to have unfortunately caught gastroenteritis. I was given Ondansentron and it helped immensely. However, I can't sleep. I'm so wired and my stomach still hurts but luckily, no side effects. Is this normal? Is it the gastroenteritis or the drug?

I doubt you will want to remove them and replace them. And in what world did your breastfed baby eat on a schedule. I breastfed four of five and they stayed attached to me all the time... lol..
