Right there in the fleshy area of the lower abdomen and going downwards towards the hip. But its specifically on my side, not my back or tummy. Its been a week since symptoms started. Symptoms include a constant achy feeling in the area, sharp pains in the area when i lay down or move positions or laugh or cough. I went to the doc after 5 days. He said its just viral gastroenteritis. I looked up the condition and it says you have vomiting and/or diarrhea, but i have neither.
but i have never been as ill as this in my life - i have back pain ( top and lower ) the worst gas and indegestion ever and nausea causing me to retch but not actally be sick. my stomach and abdomen are so bloated i cant even lie on my side . i have put on 3 lb in a few days. the symptoms do worsen when i eat , even though i usualy eat like a horse i am only eating a little as it hurts and i always feel full!!
Just take it easy, eat bland foods and rest a lot. Personally I would not take pain killers just because they can cause stomach issues and on a stomach that's already inflamed it can make it worse.
While many things can cause stomach pain, it's extremely doubtful to be anything else if you were just exposed to people with stomach virus and then started to show classic symptoms of it.
The next day my lower back has starting hurting. I went in on Tuesday for pain in the back and she prescribed naxoprene and a muscle relaxer. The pain went away once from the pain medicine and now does nothing. I've been having bouts of diarrhea and then constipation also. Today my back pain is excrutiating and the past two days my stools have been dark brown/black. My last bm was lighter. I have had my gallbladder removed. I'm not quite sure if I should be worried and my Dr.

Hi there. Starting on 3AM last Friday, I started having symptoms of what I thought was the flu going around. Diarrhea, vomiting, fever (101.5), muscle aches (mild to severe), sweats and chills, stiffness, weakness, some dizziness, no appetite. I automatically assumed it was the influenza virus but in almost everywhere I read, it says a cough and/or sore throat almost always follow. I've had neither, nor have I had any chest pain.
its been about a month now and my stool varies with every deffacation from semi hard to pure liquid to very loose im wondering how i can repair this and get back to normal. i also have had pains in my lower left abdominal region almost like i am constipated but even after a bowel movement it it still there. should i go back to the gastro specialist or is there something i can do that will be less drastic?
You might have gall stones. If the pain is there and it goes away after a while you may have passed a gall stone. If the pain starts agin it's another one. But if the pain starts and doesnt stop and after a day your skin starts to jaundice(tinge yello) you may have a gallstone blocking and you'd need to go to the emergency room..
we have been advised to give her calpol every 3 hours and ibuprofen every 3 hours inbetween which we have been doing when the pain comes she is doubled over and screams..she has explained it as a stabbing grabbing pain that squeezes and then releases..she was again in hospital last night they gave her codine and discharged her with a explaintion of it might go away??how long does my daughter have to suffer before they do something..please help..
A few months ago, I began to feel a pain in the area of my chest where my heart is housed. The pain is dull, and it never actually feels like it is emanating deep from within (i.e. from the heart itself). I feel a pain that almost comes from the pectoral muscle, and reaches around to the lower portion of my left armpit. My daughter is 14 months old and she has has watery diarrhea and vomitting. Well my anxiety actually started last April ever since my friend and previous co worker died because of heart attack, I never had the chance to be more focus and happy of my life because i have been thinking of it until i started having had a problem with my excess/vowel and cost me gastroenteritis and made my potassium low until got rushed to the ER. I can hear it as well as feel it. I feel severe pressure and deep pain underneath the crunching in my lower back. This is a recent issue as I have not had time to Andreas my physician just yet. When I had my miscarriage I too had severe back and abdominal pain and it turned out I was bleeding internally. One good thing in your case is that your hcg levels are going up, although I might be a little concerned because of the rate they are going up, seems a little high for me. Maybe you are carrying twins and they are really making you stretch quickly!!! I would still be checked out ASAP though, just for the sake of making sure everything is okay!

I have SEVERE DDD (Degenerative Disc Disease) and I KNOW what the lower back and side pain can do to a person and the pain is UNRELENTING in the way that it makes you feel and especially when you feel there's NO relief in sight!!
PLEASE contact your Doctor again and ASK them to find out EXACTLY what is causing this and let them know that you NEED some answers so that you can get some help in STOPPING this pain!!
Okay I'm due in 15 days and since last night I've had very bad lower back pain I've also been feeling like I need to use the bathroom and feeling very nauseous is this normal or should I be worried
54yr old female,have had this chronic lower back pain that radiates to hip area.I do have arthritis in lower back and hip,but the meds for it does nothing.I stretch every night before bed and every morning before getting out to no avail.I look like I'm 90 yrs old after a pain full ten minutes of trying to get out of bed.I have to inhale to stand up straight(omg the pain) but once I pee and get into kitchen for coffee I'm fine.The only doctor I haven't seen is a nerve doctor.
