Ondansetron is used for treating vomiting. Constipation, dizziness and headache are the most commonly reported side effects associated with its use. You could try taking plenty of fluids to keep yourself adequately hydrated and some OTC anti spasmodics for the pain. If the pain is severe, of you have dizziness or blood in stools or the diarrhoea does not seem to get better in 4-5 days, it is advised to see a primary care physician for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management.

Hi. Since the end of February, I've been having sharp pain in my abdomen. The pain first started at my appendix area. I had all the symptoms of appendicitis. I went to emergency and they ruled out appendicitis.
I had Constipation, gastroenteritis and IBS. Now, the gastroenteritis is gone, but the rest isn't.
I still have the same symptoms from the beginning.
My appendix area feels bloated. It now hurts so bad, I have difficulty and pain standing, walking or even sitting.

The causes related to nausea,diarrhea,abdominal pain are food poisoinng,gastroenteritis,stomach flu, lactose intolerance, irritable bowel syndrome etc.Parasitic infestations like amoebiasis and giardiasis will also cause watery stools, abdominal cramps,nausea,fever etc.She should take a light diet and drink plenty of water. Thank you. I ended up in the hospital. I had elevated liver function and an elevated white blood cell count. So they think I had a liver infection. I still feel pretty offal and they want to do more tests. I forgot to mention that the gastroenteritis who did my ultrasound said i had "steatohepatitis". I had no idea sinusitis could be connected to my liver, but my liver function was elevated? They did give me antibiotics at the hospital.
On day 7 of a severe case of gastroenteritis. Everything seems to have calmed down, but once I try and eat anything stomach cramps start, which are unbearable. Sometimes followed by diarrhoea. Is this normal after a severe case of gastroenteritis or do I need to see my G.P again?
