Anyone from DC MD or va and is a ftm? When's ur due date? August 17th with a girl.
t even set up an appointment. She said she might recommend going to the University of VA Medical Center 2 hours away and going to their ER. I have read some scary stuff about complications from this proceedure and don't know what to do. I had an EGD, Xrays and CT scan prior to the ERCP and a colonoscopy after it. The hospital only had a closed MRI and I freaked out and couldn't complete it. Any advice would be appreciated, I don't know how much longer I can go on like this.
Ummm what neighboring states can you travel to, as there are no listing at this time for your state......MD, NC, TN.....?

If you have your VA benifiets, your entilitled to life long health care. The VA has excellent detox and rehab facilities all over the country. It would probebly cost you next to nothing. If your seriose about quiting, give them a call, find out what they can do for you.

Okay so I live in a state 8 hrs away from family absolutely will have no help with my son. Should I stay with my dad for the first couple weeks? No family or friends where I'm at and bd ain't worth nothing.
If I remember correctly there are around 25 regions to the VA health care system. And each one runs things pretty much like they want to. I think the only real requirement is that they treat all of the Vets that get to use the system, but nothing about how well they are treated as far as I can tell.
I think the only rational for the different regional control is that it cost more for one VA center to be run over another (doctors pay, etc) is due to the different cost of living.
The VA will not help pay a private practice or a public pharmacy for the medication but they will handle everything within the VA Health Care System and they do offer suboxone. I think they have been using for about 5 years or so. If he hasn't applied for health benefits yet he will have to get the paperwork in first. If you go to www.va.gov you can find a form to print off and mail in. (he will be accepted without a problem since he is a Combat Veteran).
s also nice to have backup health care just in case you lose your insurance. I use the VA all the time and just let them bill my insurance. Even if you don't have insurance it's still completely free except for scripts. Scripts are $8 a months but can be less depending on your income or disability rating.

I have 6 blues left, (did one in the morning and one to sleep last night) and im hoping the VA is going to give me Methadone, but the VA takes SOOOO Long to do ANYTHING! I DO have a buddy that can get me Methadone for $5 a pop so I am going that route for now....Last night was Pure HELL! Cold Sweats, Leg and body Jerks/Spasms...UGH....but Im going to do this...I HAVE too...Im running my business into the GROUND buying 10-15 Blues a day at $30 a pop!!!!! I can NOT keep going on like this....
I am suffering from PTSD, but having a hard time getting service connected through the VA. I talked with a VA doc back in the late 80s and he diagnosed me with PTSD then but they (va) are not showing a record of my visit. Anyway.....what I was also told was that I was suffering from Survivor's Guilt along with PTSD. The recommendation to go see a VA Mental Health pro is excellent...heed the call and go. It is not worth the misery long term. Trust me on this one.
This is ending my marriage, and a 15 year friendship. I have been looking for support groups in my area, but cannot find one for this subject. Any ideas? I am open to anything, I want to get better. I take 7 different medications for various conditions, one is an anit depression medication, but I still cannot get my life back in order.
I heard from the Pharmacy today. We signed all the paper work to start treatment with teleprivir and the two others. The Hepatologist tried to get it through the VA but couldn't. VA never treated pretransplant and we went out of VA to get the transplant. The pharmacy was so shocked that VA wouldn't pay for the drugs. The Pharm Co's are providing the meds.. Pretransplant my husband read about it until he was to encephaloptic to concentrate.
