SHE HAD DIFFICULTY FINDING A LAB THAT WAS FAMILIAR WITH THE TEST AND ONE THAT PERFORMED THE TEST. THE RESULTS OF THE TEST INDICATED THAT HER JAW BONE WAS NOT SUFFICIENTLY STRONG[?
That's terrible! I would search for any lawsuits against the manufacturer of Fosamax for injury like this resulting on facial bone loss and tooth loss. Seems to be me they should pay for any corrective dental or medical treatment and pay compensation for pain and suffering. I've read negative things about this drug and it's ironic that it is advertised as preventing bone loss, and yet it accelerates it.
ve had pain in top of my jaw by my ear lobe, the jaw is sometimes stiff and cracks , there is pain also in the gums around the back teeth on the same side of the jaw , the teeth feel tender the pain travels down to the troat and ear. Have no lumps or bumps around these areas. Booked to see my denist.
About 1.5 years ago, I noticed a lymph node under the corner of my jaw about 1-1.5cm large, it is moveable. I went to the doctor who said I shouldn't worry about it. (I do suffer from chronic tonsil stones, though the worse effected tonsil is on the opposite side to the enlarged lymph node) However 2 years later, and it is still there (The exact same size and everything - I'm guessing the fact it has not grown is a good thing?).
good alignment is important for all the reasons you mentioned. poor alignment gets worse ove time and causes decay, gum disease, loosening of teeth, chewing problems, TMJ dysfunction, decay (inbetwween teeth that are not contacting each other properly and where you can't brush), sthetic problems etc etc. IF you have the means, and a good orthodontist tells you it would be a benefit, then you should do it.
Saturday morning when i woke up my whole left cheek and jaw were swollen pretty big. I went to the ER and was given penicillin vk 500. It's been 4 days and its barely gone down. Is this normal? My tooth that has the abcsess is broken down to the gum, if that could be why. What would i need to get done to fix this and does anyone know about the price it would cost with no insurence? Also do dentists office's set up payment plans?
When it layed down for bed the pain seemed to get more intense through-out the bottom jaw and all teeth in the bottom of my mouth.Ive rubbed bonjela all over the area several times.It has made my gums numb but my teeth are still aching alot.I cant bite down on them,any kind of mouth movement causes great pain. i have no decay visible and i cant feel anything out of the ordinary.
s milk for a source of nourishment, however, my concern is that I have tooth decay (third molar, lower jaw) which hurt quiet a bit. In addition, my my gums would bleed when I brush my teeth a bit too hard (though it wasn't bleeding while I was sucking on the lady's breasts.) Would this increase the risk?
hi, i had infection in my left jaw a year ago without any decay so i had to change my cap of three back molars. now i have an infection in my right hand side jaw and there is a lymph node which you can feel it when touched. the pain was too much and and the dentist put me on an antibiotic for five days. he says the pain will go away in ten days. but i am worried about the lymph node will it actually dissolve?
Fosamax has been linked in long-term users to the development of low-impact femoral fractures. In the event of a fracture fosamax may interfere with remodeling and healing. However, the decision to continue or quit would need to be taken by his treating doctor; keeping in view the initial condition for which it was advised and the risks Vs benefits. You may like to discus in detail with his treating doctor.

As for the "getting more info" part, I'm waiting for the clinic to open so that i can call and talk to someone about the experience of the oral surgeons and to set up a plan of which i am going to then call another dentist who i have seen recently who knows the current condition of my teeth in order to verify that this is the best course of action.
You hit my biggest fear dead on.
My mom is taking Fosamax [Alendronic Acid], she is taking it exactly as directed and is still getting terriible burning in her esophagus. She is really suffering. She says there are no alternative medications she can switch to.
Are there any remedys she can take to help ease the burning in her esophagus? Supplements, Vitamins, anything like that?
Any help anyone can give me would be greatle appreciated, as i Said, she is really suffering

The root canal was not easy - I felt some of treatment due to inflammation from crack and afterwards I had pain for a few days both in the tooth and jaw. My jaw pain is on left side only - same side as tooth. My crown was placed on tooth with temporary cement and left like that for months - but the off and on discomfort remained.
