I have been on Forteo daily injections for 1 year and I have experienced considerable joint pains which did not exist prior to treatment. My left hip and knee, my right knee and my hands have been getting worse each month. Has anyone else experienced similar reactions?
My doctor told me that I have Osteoporosis and wants me to try Forteo an injection for two years. Has anyone tried this drug and what were your side effects, if any. I don't want to make my stomach problems worse than there already are.
I have severe osteoporosis and am trying to take Forteo. I started out with half dose and have worked up to a full dose. The full dose 2 days in a row was disabling. My doctor suggested every other day. So I let the previous trial work its way out of my system for 5 days and tried another full dose. This is three days after the dose and I am weaker each day. I move in slow motion. My doctor is puzzled. Anyone had a similar experience?
Just was informed that I have osteoporosis. My doctor wants me to use Forteo, an injection that you use for two years.
Usually, such discoloration are common with circulatory problems, with certain medications, excessive cold temperature, whilst you are relaxed or resting, during or after exercise, or after sitting in an uncomfortable position. Most of the times, they are not related to any underlying disorder but needs checking out with a doctor to assess that your leg circulation and nerve supply are working appropriately.
As for myself, I am a patient suffering from severe osteoporosis. My doctor, realizing I cannot afford Forteo ($950 per month!), has suggested I try to find how I can take the equivalent, generic version, which is Bonista.
Please, if anyone can tell me how to get ahold of this medication, any address, emails of sellers, etc! I would be so grateful!

Hi-- When you say Medicare, I assume it is Medicare Part D, administered by an insurance company like Blue Cross, etc? If so, you might be in for sticker shock. I had a similar experience w/ Forteo, via Part D, they wanted $5K for 3 months. I went directly to Lilly, and qualified for pro bono meds for 2 years, the limit of tx on Forteo. My understanding is patients with cirrhosis get priority. Other Gilead experienced persons, and there are a few here, can tell you more.
Medications themselves can be classified as antiresorptive or bone anabolic agents. Teriparatide (Forteo) is also approved for the treatment of postmenopausal women who have severe osteoporosis and are considered at high risk for fractures. The medicine is given through daily shots underneath the skin and you can give these shots even at home. Another advantage is that it can be given in patients who cannot tolerate oral biphosphonate drugs.
I have also been told it caused some anxiety. So I noticed my temperature has always been 98.5-98.8 and now it is 97.1-97.6 all the time. Well I felt like I had a slight fever one day and it said 98.2. Is it normal for your normal temp to drop? It has been like that for a few months now. I am always cold when everyone else isn't. What else could cause my temp to drop? I have been tested for thyroid and my adrenal glad which doc said negative.
I'm 7 week's pregnant now, but I do get a slight temperature, especilly st night anyone, having the same symptoms.
I am 5 1/2 weeks pregnant and I noticed yesterday that my body temperature has increased. Normally it's around 98, but yesterday and today when I have taken my temperature it's been about a degree higher. Is this normal?

I have a couple of weeks finished treatment for hepatits C with pegintron/ribavirin. During the treatment i had temperature at levels round 37.3-37.4 celcius not changing for 4 days after injection. I measured the temperature the last two days and it has been 37.2-37.3 celcius. I was asking can it be possible by the medications i took, my body needs it or I do not know.These days if have feelt my self very anxious, frightend, concerning about every think but it comes and goes.
what is your temperature. ? just checked mine and it is 95.4.. the lowest was 95.5 a few weeks ago and hovers around 96.
For the last 2 weeks I have low temperature in the morning about 34.50, this goes back to normal at the end of the day. I also have a urine infection and am taking antibiotics.
my 3year old girl has a temperature of 38 im worried she keeps saying she has sore tummy she hasnt really eaten properly for a week and not that interested in drinking much her temperature has only just come on tonight, also says her cheek is saw.
How do all of y'all deal with the temperature problem? I usually have a hard time staying cool, but here lately, I have been staying cold. Tonight I just took a shower with straight hot water bc when I added cold it felt to cold. I think I may have blistered my head a little bit.
I have also been having a problem with bruises showing up on my legs after I have rubbed across them. I don't know what is going on.
When i wake in the morning, i usually have a temperature of 94.5F. During the course of the day it goes up to up about 97.8F. At that point i do feel what is similar to heat flushes and general malaise. I am a 35yr old male.
Based on the above scenario, would i be considered as having a fever?
I have had Bronchitis for the last week and feel somewhat better but when I take my
temperature it is running 96.7 to 97.8. Is there a reason that it is running so low. the only meds I have taken are
Asminex inhaler and Abuterol in my breathing machine. How long does it take to get over the Bronchitis
it is not the first time I have had it and i do have Asthma also.
Any Ides ???
