I have been on Forteo daily injections for 1 year and I have experienced considerable joint pains which did not exist prior to treatment. My left hip and knee, my right knee and my hands have been getting worse each month. Has anyone else experienced similar reactions?

My doctor told me that I have Osteoporosis and wants me to try Forteo an injection for two years. Has anyone tried this drug and what were your side effects, if any. I don't want to make my stomach problems worse than there already are.

I have severe osteoporosis and am trying to take Forteo. I started out with half dose and have worked up to a full dose. The full dose 2 days in a row was disabling. My doctor suggested every other day. So I let the previous trial work its way out of my system for 5 days and tried another full dose. This is three days after the dose and I am weaker each day. I move in slow motion. My doctor is puzzled. Anyone had a similar experience?

I used the ATKINS diet and I lost my first thirty pounds in 30 days. I didn't think I would EVER lose the baby weight but when I switched to the NO CARB diet and LOTS of WALKING the pounds dropped so fast! It was amazing! Anyone taking humira and feel like they are sick coming down with a cold for a week after injection? Not a full blown cold but the start of one. I feel like this always and this is my 3rd dosage ( counting the starter kit), so I'm new to humira. I've noticed if I'm stressed, I'll even get a sore throat. I know humira suppresses your immune system but are you supposed to feel like you're coming down with something every injection or will this go away with time?

They have a starter kit on the website which does save you money versus buying everything separate. You can also try a site called ThredUp I use this for clothing and sometimes you can find boxes with used cloth diapers in great shape. You can find used covers and get new inserts if you don't feel comfortable using used inserts. Still saving a ton of money.

I have been on this med for about 2 months. I have seen a improvement, more energy. They should start you out on a starter kit. This will increase the dose gradually. The best way to do it. The only side effects I have noticed is a little bit of a rash, nothing bad. Looks like a little case of heat rash. But the benefits for me are way worth going through the side effects.
