The company i am working for has been sold and will officially be franchise in 3 days. And i lost all of my benefits and sick pay. I seriously don't know what i am going to do. I'm due next month. I just want to cry!!
It is a huge franchise with hundreds of locations in multiple states. I live in minnesota. I do not get paid anything at all for maternity leave. I have to go on fmla. I can use my one week of vacation I get per year but that's it. I couldn't believe it when I found this out. I have yet to come across someone who's job does not offer some sort of pay for maternity leave in my area.

I am having some of the same symptoms that you describe. I have been dx'd with EBV which is mono, but I have never had mono. I have a ton of neurological symptoms and I currently have a dx of "clinical lyme disease". I don't buy this dx anymore, but I am on antibiotics because I have been dealing with this for 10 months. I still have no answers, have seen almost 20 doctors, and no one can seem to tell me anything.

Are u a regular employee or a mgr? Do u work for a corporate bk or a franchise? I have been a shift mgr at a franchise bk for 2 years and I have to go on fmla for maternity leave which means I don't get paid anything at all. Unless I want to use my one week of paid vacation I get per year. I can take as much time as I want but going on fmla only gurantees you will have your job when u come back.
I bought a salad about one+ hours ago from a fast food franchise. It had fresh greens with chicken. Several bites into it I noticed the globby mass at the bottom and found the entire mouse with some insides showing. I am not making this up. I am writing because I'm concerned that, maybe I should be concerned about tetnus or some other bacterial issue. As of yet, I'm fine. But it's past midnight and not a good time to reach anyone who would know.
