Avatar n tn I get a massage once a week. It's the best part of the week actually!
7557112 tn?1399509472 I hear walking...we walked my cousin through the mall and got her this foot massage (reflexology) that was suppose to help with contractions. It worked! Just 7 hours later she went into labor. But keep in mind, people can be 1 cm for awhile so don't get too frustrated.
Avatar f tn Ladies my husband got me a foot massage machine for Christmas. I am 26wks and 4days... Is it safe to use it? I heard different opinions and don't wana make him sad for not using... He spent a lot of money and he thinks I don't like it.
Avatar f tn Where are you from?
8026978 tn?1396325900 My cousin got some type of foot massage (I think it was called foot reflexology or something like that) last year that is suppose to bring on labor. She got the massage at noon by 6pm that evening she went into labor. She swears by it! LOL!
Avatar f tn Yesterday I got the bombest pedicure ever! 15 minute foot massage, hot towel therapy, sugar exfoliation and polished nails. Sadly I'm paying for it today. I've heard that a foot massage can get your labor started, but I assumed I should worry about that when I was closer to being full term. I'm 26 weeks and I've started to feel some contractions about an hour and a half apart. Could my pedicure be the cause of this?
398532 tn?1231463960 I've heard a lot of people say that you should not have a foot massage during pregnancy... I tried to find some information online and I can't seem to find any real proof... What do you ladies think? Has anyone ever told you its bad or could cause contractions? Is it only the first trimester or the entire pregnancy? My over bearing mother-in-law is driving me crazy about it...

Avatar f tn Definitely! For example people get reflexology (foot massage) because there is a nerve ending in your feet that effects each part of your body. I'm sure a nerve in your neck could have some effect on your stomach etc, with that said be cautious with message.
Avatar f tn have you tried getting a foot massage?
Avatar n tn Massage can possibly trigger contractions but idk about a foot massage. You are considered full term at 37 weeks so, I agree with what I said above!
4584876 tn?1358994031 m gonna do when I start getting closer to having my baby. Something about getting a foot massage/pedicure jump starts labor.
Avatar f tn Then i did a lot of walking, cleaning, nipple stimulation, bathing, foot massage.... just anything thats supposed to help... on Sunday night at 11 pm my water started leaking but i wasnt having regular contractions. At 5 am the contractions were becoming regular around 7-10 min apart lasting 45 seconds. Went to the hospital at around 6:30 and had my boy at 13:05 pm. He weighed 3580 gramm and was 51 cm long and he is perfect.
Avatar f tn I'm a ftm and I'm 39 weeks and 1 day and still no contractions. My cervix still hasn't open and I'm due on Sunday! Is there a natural way to start labor?
Avatar f tn I think they just put regular lotion on your feet and normal soap in the water, I was thinking more along the lines of a foot rub and triggering contractions because I am definitely wayyyy to early to be getting them.
Avatar f tn Foot massage, you have pressure points in your feet.
4643945 tn?1363372357 Foot massage, exspecially between toes. Fresh pineapple. Spicey foods. Squats. Walking. Rasberry leaf tea. Swimming.
1838712 tn?1325731294 It seems like just about everyone on here already had their babies but for those of you that are left I was told that curb walking is a good way to get things started. Personally at this point I am desperate so I'm trying anything and everything. Basically what you do is put one foot on the curb and one foot on the ground and walk. The idea is that since your body is uneven it should help the baby drop.
230972 tn?1224470126 Thanks! I thought it was pretty funny to think of. Froggy~ Sometimes nipple stimulation can cause your uterus to contract which can help start labor. But if your early on in pregnancy dont worry about it. cause it's all part of the fun of having sex! I don't think it would bring on labor unless your body was ready for labor and you were having other signs of it. if you are far enough to have the baby safely, then you can always try getting a foot massage.
1959722 tn?1338778115 I am starting to get a little worried. I am 24w2d and I went to the mall today and got a pedicure and I used one of those massage chairs. I've never heard anything about not using them so I thought it would be fine but then I went to target to get some new maternity clothes and went to the bathroom and when I wiped there was like a dime size glob of really snotty looking stuff.
Avatar f tn Nipple stimulation is also supposed to help labor get going.
Avatar m tn Hi, recently I went to a massage parlor for foot massage. The massage lady seem to just after having sex with her client. I did not know she if she had washed her hand, immediatly she massage my foot for 45 mins after finishing with her fat client. When she had finished foot massage, I realised that there were some sores wounded skins on top of my foot far away from the toes.
4451415 tn?1359271504 YouTube videos on foot massage there are parts of the foot that help move you along, no lie I'm a licensed cosmetologist and we learned all about it
Avatar f tn what I did this week was a few deep squats, walked a mile, walked up and down bleacher stairs, fiance gave me a foot massage, sex and Warm baths lol so something in there worked. As frustrating as it is I guess they come when they are ready. These babies are so stubborn but worth tge wait.
