Avatar f tn Usually a pharmacist is correct because they have a guideline that pops up that says do not take for these and they know medications so well. I work in a pharmacy, so I always ask them if it's safe to take anything during pregnancy because they know.
Avatar f tn It downed how far along you won't give you pill in your early pregnancy. Call your Dr and you will have to be seen that way it's on file I had them all the time with my first n it sucked.

Avatar f tn l was prescribed Fluconazole by my doctor, there are 3 pink tables(pills). Both, my OB/GYN and the pharmacist doctor said they are safe for third trimester pregnancy. l'm 37 weeks. Started taking them at 36 weeks.
Avatar f tn Early on in the pregnancy they give you the cream but after that it's safe to take the pill to cure it, if your nervous about taking it tell them you want the cream to treat it.
Avatar f tn I took diflucan a couple times with my first pregnancy but it was later in pregnancy. I got a yeast infection with my second pregnancy very early on. They didnt want me to talk diflucan that early. I am the same way as u. Nothing works but diflucan for me. so i know how u feel.
Avatar f tn s development that early in pregnancy. I had my first 2 appointments with OBGYN and ultrasounds and everything looks good they say. Please advise. THANKS!
Avatar f tn If not, then a pregnancy test is definitely a good idea. If you were my patient, I would ask you to come in and do a urinalysis. I would be concerned that you might have a bladder infection that wouldn't be treated by fluconazole--you might need an antibiotic rather than an antifungal (or both). If your symptoms don't improve you should definitely see your provider! Good luck!
Avatar f tn Three times i got a period containing big clots of blood (big lumps of jelly).Once i had all the pregnancy symptoms but when i took HPT it came -ve.After few days i had a period full of big clots. My doc gave me DUPHASTON but it didnt work. Avatar f tn I believe the itching was due to an chemical imbalance within the body as you stated (vitamins) in your original post. I am not sure but I know that fluconazole help.
Avatar f tn About two weeks ago I started getting intense itching in my vulva area with very runny, abnormal discharge. I went to the gyno and she said she didn't see any trichomoniasis under microscope, and didn't think I had a yeast infection. However, she prescribed me Metronidazole, and Fluconazole. I have just finished these medications, and I have one more Fluconazole to take next week. She also swabbed me for any STD's and everything came back negative.
Avatar m tn Anyone ever take fluconazole 150mg oral pill for a yeast infection in their first trimester. I phoned a pharmacist and he said it was fine and all the research I've done says as long as it's not in high doses the baby should be ok, but I am having some major anxiety.
Avatar n tn I had got it checked out by my doctor who says it may be a fungal infection, so he gave me fluconazole. at the same time he was not certain what it was and told me that it would be too early to test for herpes. he took a urine sample for now. i have been taking the fluconazole for 2 days along with monistat. the three red bumps also have some white discharge from them and they do seem like they might be ulcerations because they look like little craters with white on the inside.
Avatar f tn Hi All- I didn't know I was pregnant when I took 2x150 mg of fluconazole in a span of week during my 4th and 5th weeks. After I came to know about my pregnancy, I am now scared, that I might have harmed my baby. Please help me out here. Has anyone taken it during first trimester ? Is the baby doing well? Help me out here.
938326 tn?1300878804 that is what I used with my first pregnancy. You cannot take diflucan/fluconazole (pills) but you can use OTC insertables...such as monistat or a store brand.
Avatar f tn Is there any home remedies that are safe in pregnancy to get rid of a yeast infection? I have already had it twice ans took that one day pill form of it. Just found out its listed as category c so that kind of annoyed me how my dr just acted like it was completely safe. I also really dont want to shoot medicine up there because it just sounds really difficult... any suggestions??
869568 tn?1248372915 I wondered, though, have any of you ever experienced this during pregnancy? Is this dangerous? I had a yeast infection once before a looooooooooong time ago and was treated with cream; is that safe during pregnancy?
Avatar f tn Hi ladies, so I've had a yeast infection for about 3 months now and after repeatedly telling my doctor, today she did the group b strep and said it looks like I have a yeast infection(really?!) I haven't been itchy the whole 3 months but in February I got the canesten cream (after going to l&d for thinking i had an infection, she told me to get some) and use it on days when I am itchy.
Avatar f tn That when I went to my clinic doctor (I went in on September 9th). She did a swab test in my vagina and confirmed it was not Trick (trichomoniasis). She said it was either a yeast infection, Chlamydia, or Gonorrhea. She then gave me treatments for all three. For the Gonorrhea she gave me 400mg (1 tablet) of Suprax (Cefixime), for the Yeast Infection she gave me two 150mg tablets of Fluconazole (Diflucan) and for the Chlamydia she gave me 1g (powder) of Azithromycin (Zithromax).
Avatar f tn ve taken fluconazole when pregnant for yeast infections and it is commonly prescribed during pregnancy and has no pregnancy at the regular dose during the second trimester. During the first, at higher doses of 400 to 800 mg a day, you shouldn't take it but you should be fine now. Flagyl is pregnancy category B. That means it was not shown to affect a fetus in limited studies. It's also pretty commonly given during pregnancy.
Avatar f tn I've taken Clindamycin and fluconazole to kill a yeast infection. But now my doctor tells me I might possibly get it back because antibiotics can cause yeast infections. I'm not even sure...
Avatar f tn Hi there congratulations on getting past the 12 week mark. My advice is to avoid all sugar and if you can get your hands on sachromyces cerevisae boulardii taken 2-3 times daily plus probiotics double dose. Not sure which country you're in. in australia sachromyces comes in a couple of brands- "bioceuticals sb floractiv" "metagenics sb dysbiosis" are a couple of them.
Avatar f tn Or you can use the generic store brand.. You will find it in the isle near the pregnancy tests and things of that nature. Look for monistat.....there are a bunch of different kinds...1 days...3 days....7 days.....and below that you can find the generic brands of monistat..... This is the only thing you can use during pregnancy to get rid of a yeast infection, and unfortunately, its not a pill you take orally. They are inserts that you use vaginally.
