So doctor said I have a yeast infection because my discharge is smelling funny. How many of you have taken fluconazole 150mg and have been just fine? They say there is risks taking it but that it's safe. I'm 30w0d.

l was prescribed Fluconazole by my doctor, there are 3 pink tables(pills). Both, my OB/GYN and the pharmacist doctor said they are safe for third trimester pregnancy. l'm 37 weeks. Started taking them at 36 weeks.
Hello ladies I look the pill Fluconazole because I think I have a yeast infection my OB gave me two Fluconazole pills last month but I only need one and I just took the other one today. Now I'm scared because I don't know if I could take this pill this late in my pregnancy I'm 39 week now. Have anyone ever took this pill after 35 weeks?
Has anyone ever taken fluconazole? It's a tablet you take (only one) for yeast infection. My pharmacist said it's not for pregnant women but when I called the doc and told him what the pharmacist said he said it was ok to take. Has anyone else been prescribed this? I'm worried.
Fluconazole is an antifungal and one pill stays in the blood stream for 3 days. It is normal to take a 'loading dose' the first time which helps get a jump start on the infection. I would take it as the doctor directed.

A month ago I self diagnosed and treated a yeast infection based on my previous yeast infection (diagnosed by a doctor a few years ago). I treated with Monistat (miconazole)cream, which mostly cleared up my symptoms. I still felt somewhat irritated down there so I went to the doctor. She took a swab sample that came back negative for yeast/bacteria/gonorrhea/chlamydia.I felt fine for 2 weeks, then felt intense burning during intercourse . A few days after that, the itch was back.
t know I was pregnant when I took 2x150 mg of fluconazole in a span of week during my 4th and 5th weeks. After I came to know about my pregnancy, I am now scared, that I might have harmed my baby. It is not killing probiotic cultures in your bowels. And 6 weeks is not really longterm, especially since fluconazole is not an antibiotic, but an antifungal. Candida is a mean one, and hard to get rid of. But Candida hates a balanced diet with lots of beans, veggies, wholemeal, yoghurt and fruits. Reduce your meat and sugar intake to aid the meds to kill it off. Good luck!
ve taken fluconazole when pregnant for yeast infections and it is commonly prescribed during pregnancy and has no pregnancy at the regular dose during the second trimester. During the first, at higher doses of 400 to 800 mg a day, you shouldn't take it but you should be fine now. Flagyl is pregnancy category B. That means it was not shown to affect a fetus in limited studies. It's also pretty commonly given during pregnancy.
Apparently I can consistently getting yeast infections due to hormonam imbalance. I'm afraid to overdose on the fluconazole. Is there a natural way of getting rid of it? I'm thinking cranberry juice but should I drink it once in a while or is there another alternative. Because I have to avoid sugar in order to fix my hormonal imbalance.
i m really worried wheather 2 continue this pregnancy as effect of the tab lasts for 7 days in blood and medical literature i reffered 2 shows that even a single tab fluconazole taken during pregnancy has left to birth defects. but i read on ur site that first 18 days of conception baby is resistant to harm ful effect of drugs n radiation.
I went to the doc today because I knew I had a uti but this is my first yeast infection ever. They gave me Fluconazole for the yeast infection and 250mg ampicillin that I have to take two at a time 3 times a day. I have had rashes and dark skin on and around scrotum and inner thigh for last 5-6 years. In the beginning rashes and small cuts used to appear between inner thighs and they would heal themselves but they left dark and loose skin when they disappeared. But for last 2-3 months these rashes and cuts started appearing again in ferocious way and these have extended on testicle skins too. When they appear it itches too much results in small cuts with small blood. i m very depressed.
