Has anyone ever taken fluconazole? It's a tablet you take (only one) for yeast infection. My pharmacist said it's not for pregnant women but when I called the doc and told him what the pharmacist said he said it was ok to take. Has anyone else been prescribed this? I'm worried.

he gave me an antibiotic for a sinus and upper respratory tract infection. It was APO-AZITHROMYCIN 250mg. It did not help my sinus infection but after 2 days, it cured the little white bumps in my mouth. It has been about 2 weeks now and they have not returned. I have had the bumps in my mouth every day with the exception of about 4 over the last 4.5 years. So going 2 weeks without them returning makes me very hopeful that they are gone for good. What a relief!

I have a terrible odor in my nose that I've had for a long time. I had sinus surgery 6 weeks ago which made it worse. I have had breathing problems and it has been determined that it is not asthma. When I get this odor in my nose, my throat seems to tighten and close. I have been on prednisone for 6 months trying to find out where this respiratory problems is coming from. Is it possible that the odor has something to do with my respiratory problem?

There are some black and reddish rashes and burning sensation for 1 month! Doctor said its just a yeast infection and gave me 30 days medication! and 8 weeks Fluconazole 400 mg per week and an anti bacterial cream to apply on the penis head twice a day!! but i still feel that burning sensation occasionally and when i apply that cream that burning sensation is little bit higher!!

did sinoscopy and found that there is no fault in sinus. There is slight bacterial infection in throat, tonsils and sinus. He advised me to try antiseptic betadine (providone iodine IP 2%) which is not helping me at all. He told me that it will take approximately one month to get rid of bad smell. I can't wait as i am not sure with his advise. Please help. Whether this bad smell is curable? If it doesn't go away, it will be very difficult for me to mix with the people.

For yeast infections I was always given either monistat or fluconazole. A bacterial infection like BV would require metronidazole (flagyl).
I was recently tested for all STDs because I have been having a recurring yeast infection since last November. I have been taking fluconazole on and off since. This last infection was really severe and it started on a Sunday. I made a doctor appt for that following Wednesday where I was tested. My results came back positive for a yeast infection and negative for everything else...except the herpes blood test. My result was <0.90.
Another symptom is long term infection. And I've been having bacteria infection on my throat for a while now. Hmm... so many questions to ask my new doctor!!
I talked to my Dr as well and he said that the fluconazole is fine, I will feel 100% relief when I go for my first ultrasound
