Avatar n tn Dymista is a combination medication so it makes sense that the doctor is suggesting the two medications will work as the Dymista did. Let us know how it goes.
464237 tn?1315670793 t want the infection to get even worse. How is it ok to use flonase for bacterial infection? Have any of you used flonase for infection. My infection is not allergy related, it came from a cold that was going around. Thanks so much for reading. and yes I have been using nasal irrigation along with all of the other home remedies I have found on the internet.
2114467 tn?1358210256 Sure, ask your doctor about it but my guess is that it will be OK. If it works for you now then I would definitely take it. It helps to have as many knows as possible when you are taking new meds & new rescue meds. Be double sure you drink lots of liquids when you take any antihistamine while treating (well, all the time actually).
Avatar f tn I am going to an ENT on October 14th. Hopefully I will get some answers?
Avatar m tn My symptoms include my nose always being clogged up which causes me to breath through my mouth and it also leaks fluid out of my nose sometimes. I also have gotten some scaly rashes around my eyes. http://www.medhelp.org/posts/new_with_new_subject?forum_id=335# Ive been given some allergy medicine to take but it hasnt really worked. Im thinking the symptoms point to hay fever but i REALLY WANT TO KNOW QUESTION1: Will i be able to breath out of both nostrils again?
Avatar n tn I went through virtuwell and they said it was allergic conjunctivitis prescribing Olopatadine drops. Its been about 6 days now and no real relief. I've tried Zyrtec, Flonase, Benedryl and now Claratin with very limited relief. Anyone have a magic combination that works?
Avatar f tn ve tried 3 different antibiotics for sinus infection. Also tried flonase, allegra, and Sudafed. Nothing seems to help. I feel pressure mostly in my forehead. I don't have any congestion with mucus or anything. I've had a sinus x-ray, CT scan, and MRI, which were all fine and showed nothing wrong with sinuses. I usually clean my ears out with a q tip after showering. I used to get some wax out, however, after this started, I can't get any wax out.
Avatar m tn //www.rxlist.com/flonase-side-effects-drug-center.htm - which is probably why your doctor said to stop using it. If your cough got better using it, maybe it was helping some allergy symptoms, like post-nasal drip. Did you ask your doctor what he meant, or try to clarify anything? Always feel free to ask questions and clarify anything you don't understand with your doctor.
Avatar n tn I've had this for about 4 years. Dr. says to use Flonase daily, so just started it. I think it might be from sinus but I have no symptoms.
Avatar f tn I Just ordered off this site called withdrawal-ease.com and it's $89 for 2 bottles one for night time and one for day. Th Thomas recipe isn't helping me. I was going to order te amino acid protocol but I got everything into my cart on GNC.com and it was $150!! And it was missing 2 items they didn't carry it. So it will be here in 2-3 days. I will take it and let everyone know. I hope it works. It could save a lot of us from the pain! Check out the website:) www.withdrawal-ease.com!
Avatar f tn m not suppose to use nasal spray, but I get real bad congestion every day all day idk why. And the doctor said I could use it. But my question is how often and andybofy had problems when using them?
Avatar f tn I will have to go back and see if I can find that one. It was really interesting. Seems to be all upside down in the way it works as to the way you would think it did. I alwasys thought when stocks were way up, it was a good thing. I will have to see if I can find it or the link to it so ya all can have a look see.
Avatar m tn Dr. Prescribed Flonase for vertigo. The way to apply, he said, was to have head down and use the opposite hand for each nostril.
Avatar f tn This time, my symptoms were a slightly scratchy throat, a very dry throat, and most noticeable, a very bad breath. I purchased Flonase and started using it 4 days ago. I use it every night and my sickness has seemed to get better. However, the breath is still slightly there. Starting today, a ticklish feeing in the back of my Thais has appeared and I continue to get the urge of wanting to cough.
Avatar n tn Twice in the last six months using Flonase my mouth filled with blood from sinuses. Is another medication for sinusitis available?
Avatar f tn I would neti pot then do the flonase, so your not washing that med back out, it has a steroid in it to take down the swelling of tissue that are in inflammed. This could just be due to the springtime air, so you wouldnt be taking zyrtec for ever, just thru the springtime has passed. Hope this works for you!
Avatar n tn thank you i will definitely try flonase, any one else have any other ideas?
Avatar m tn I've had an upper respiratory infection for about a week. Went to the doctor this morning with severe ear pain, no infection, just inflammation due to the other infection. Was recommended Flonase, rest, and fluids. After I came home and took the Flonase I've had this really weird fizzing sensation off and on at the back of my throat all day. It feels like a handful of poprocks are at the top of my throat/back of my mouth. It's a really weird suggestion.
Avatar f tn I suggest you NEVER take Flonase (Fluticasone Propionate)! I never will again. Had a sore throat and the doctor at the clinic had me take Flonase saying it was an allergy and I did, against my better judgement. Developed a cough about10 days later and saw my regular physician (probably much later than I should have, about two more weeks) and she gave me an antibiotic that helped for a while and told me that if this continues, to have a chest x-ray.
Avatar f tn Flonase...isn't that addictive?? Just use a netti pot. I think there are low dose zinc lozenges and supplements. I'd get a 2nd opinion r research more, but imho & recent experience: sore throat came on and went away on its own. So how about just trying a little extra water and orange juice, or squeeze fresh lemon into warm or hot water? Would you give your baby flonase for stuffy nose? If not, don't use it for yourself either. Think about the fact that you can have a baby...
Avatar n tn I've had such a tough time with sinus headaches, allergies (watery eyes, plugged ears and tinnitus) and fatigue that I finally went to an ear-nost-throat doctor last week. He put me on Nasonex, a steroid nasal spray, to reduce the inflammation. I also hear my heartbeat in my ear at times, and he's hoping that a month on Nasonex will stop that. If not, he'll do a CT scan and other work to see what's going on.
