Avatar f tn My doctor prescribed amoxicyllin for ten days and Flonase as he suspected a sinus infection. I started my antibiotics three days ago but I still run low grade fever (around 100). Is that normal?
Avatar m tn //www.rxlist.com/flonase-side-effects-drug-center.htm - which is probably why your doctor said to stop using it. If your cough got better using it, maybe it was helping some allergy symptoms, like post-nasal drip. Did you ask your doctor what he meant, or try to clarify anything? Always feel free to ask questions and clarify anything you don't understand with your doctor.

Avatar f tn I take zyrtec, singulair, flonase and astepro for the allergies and sinus. My ENT is stumped. How can I get my taste and smell back?
2114467 tn?1358210256 i'm curious if it is ok to use flonase. also, is benadryl ok to use. I just finished using my netti pot for nasal allergies. I'm trying to be careful about drug interaction; I haven't started the boc yet.
1939607 tn?1324289300 http://www.rxlist.com/flonase-side-effects-drug-center.htm I think it's the Flonase, in my case adverse reactions are: mild swelling (throat), sore throat, white sores/dry spots in the throat, nausea and vomiting, sinus irritation and congestion, pain in the lymph node area. I also experienced feeling difficulty swallowing, dry cough, dry throat/mouth -- all signs of a relatively severe allergy. Lots and lots of sufferers online have been asking about this.
Avatar n tn Some doctor suggested me a drug Fluticasone propionate. It is generic drug called Flonase. With 30 days of regular spray, I could get away from addiction of Otrivin.
464237 tn?1315670793 t want the infection to get even worse. How is it ok to use flonase for bacterial infection? Have any of you used flonase for infection. My infection is not allergy related, it came from a cold that was going around. Thanks so much for reading. and yes I have been using nasal irrigation along with all of the other home remedies I have found on the internet.
Avatar n tn //www.rxlist.com/flonase-drug.htm. Is this prescribed to decreases swelling or to attend to the sinus issue contributing to the swelling?
Avatar f tn I used to take Seldane (it was removed from the market in 1998 after causing several heart arrthmias). It seems to me something replaced it that was supposed to be seldane without the bad effects, but I can't recall the name of the drug. Anyway, I think some of my afib issues started with these drugs. You can't be too careful if you prone to heart issues.
Avatar f tn Unfortunately, there are occasional cases of auto-immune reactions being triggered by the virus (as it was in me), and other cases of these auto-immune problems being triggered by the interferon itself. This is one of the reasons we are all so eager for non-interferon treatments to make it through testing and get on the market. For the sinus problems there are many approaches different doctors might recommend. I personally get best results from a nightly spray of Flonase, a steroid nasal spray.
Avatar n tn Twice in the last six months using Flonase my mouth filled with blood from sinuses. Is another medication for sinusitis available?
Avatar m tn I've had an upper respiratory infection for about a week. Went to the doctor this morning with severe ear pain, no infection, just inflammation due to the other infection. Was recommended Flonase, rest, and fluids. After I came home and took the Flonase I've had this really weird fizzing sensation off and on at the back of my throat all day. It feels like a handful of poprocks are at the top of my throat/back of my mouth. It's a really weird suggestion.
Avatar n tn All 3 meds mentioned are class C drugs, which means none have been tested on pregnant women, but have shown to cause defomities or problems in laboratory animals. I would strongly think twice about getting pregnant while being on all of these meds. Ask yourself if the benefits out weigh the risks.
Avatar f tn I'm also taking Fluticasone Propionate and have the very same issue. I think it's because the nasal spray dries out the nasal cavity. At first, I started having bloody noses, but then that stopped and this current symptom started. My doctor had said it may make the nose very dry and to try saline solution once daily after the Flonase. I have yet to do that, but it's supposed to help. Hope that helps.
Avatar n tn Are any of you using something like Nasonex or Flonase? I do have a headache behind my eyes and feel tired a lot, but I had that before too. Common side effects of Nasonex are fatigue, headaches, a lowered immune system (not good) and others too. A few people I know who have used this for a year or more mentioned that they got palpitations, and one friend said his PVCs increased. But one can't be sure whether the PVCs increased because of the Nasonex.
Avatar n tn s unfortunate when medication costs so much sometimes that we have to find an alternative. Flonase and Astepro are likely the right names. Flonase is a corticosteroid spray and Astepro is an antihistamine spray. Dymista is a combination medication so it makes sense that the doctor is suggesting the two medications will work as the Dymista did. Let us know how it goes.
Avatar m tn ve read that 28 days is conclusive but my wife started having swollen Lumph nodes that were tender at 53 days and after reading about things like how biotin can effect results and how flonase can immunosuppress I am extremely scared that I might be having a false negative result. I did not have many symptoms a little diarrhea at day 16 and 53, maybe a little fever but a lot of anxiety and suicidal thoughts. I made a mistake and do not want to hurt my wife.
Avatar n tn Hi...I am on numerous meds...heart(tachycardia arrythmia)-ATENOLOL; High Cholesterol-CRESTOR; Hernia-PRAVACHOL; Fibromyalgia & Osteo-Arthrytis-KETOROLAC; water retention-LASIX; Sinus-FLONASE; Dysrythmia-ATIVAN. I have also been on EFFEXOR for 5 years for severe depression. My dosage has been increased twice in the past month--I now take 187.5 mg...I woke up at about 12 midnight last Sunday and I have no recall of the past 4 days; however, I apparently withdrew $7000.
Avatar n tn He is behind his peers. He is also the youngest in his class. Prior teachers have mentioned his short attention span. He has no behavior problems. I have spent 3 entire days researching so I am fully prepared for his doctor appointment next week. I want to rule out any other causes for his attention. If he is diagnosed with ADD, I want to try everything before drugs.
Avatar f tn What are the odds of those of us that are suffering from from tooth decay and paying outrageously for doctors appointments, prescriptions, and now dentists and dental bills, what do we need or have to do to begin a class action lawsuit? Four members of my family have been on subutex for about 6 years some for general pain and some for addiction and we all have the same issues with decaying teeth and such. Our doctor has no means of tapering us off but we all have started ourselves.
Avatar f tn The folliculitis is limited to the scalp only. I am real curious about the Flonase use ,but also read of a connection toi high tryglycerides, which I do have a problem with. No test have been done, saw family physician, she only suggested a dandruff shampoo. I have been using T- Gel and Demerex.
Avatar f tn t been on the Flonase long enough to provide control. But I am not wheezing...just stuck in the yellow zone anywhere from 360-390...after my rescue inhaler I can push it up to over 400 but it doesn't last for long. I am only slightly more winded with an occasional cough. My question is this....What do I do...When I go to my PCP they are unimpressed because I am not wheezing but I am in the Yellow Zone.....
Avatar f tn t take really any allergy meds due to issues with tachycardia and palpitations. My doctor suggested Flonase, but I am allergic to sulfur (used a sulfur mask once and my whole face swelled huge, used to have to brush me teeth with sulfur water and my entire mouth would get blisters) and I noticed that Flonase contains sulfur in its makeup. Can I use it?
Avatar m tn Has the reason for this been determined (Alcohol or drug consumption, homosexual transmission) or are men just less likely to be able to beat the infection? 3. What can I do now to increase my chances of fighting off this virus so that I don't become chronic, other than the obvious of not drinking alcohol ?? Should I be exercising or be resting?? Should I be avoiding fatty foods or those foods high in protein?? 4.
Avatar f tn With my first bb i never took a birthing class n i was gonna do it without the epadural too but the pain was so unbearable to where i had to get it!
408795 tn?1324935675 ), what typically happens is they get out on parole, fail the terms of parole (as drug tested during parole), serve out entire sentence, then go straight back to drug use. Unless prisioners are drug tested and can prove they are clean, I don't see the point in treatment, the odds of reinfection are just too high IMO.
Avatar f tn about 6 - 7 weeks ago I was in class and I believe I lost consciousness or passed out for maybe 3 - 5 seconds, because when I came to I felt as If I had just woken up, I remember exactly what happened but not right after. Once this had happened I noticed the next day that I was feeling VERY foggy headed, not so much lightheaded but more of a buzzed or drunk feeling, it was hard to catch and pay attention to things, and its always there but it lightens up sometimes.
