545538 tn?1295992017 y solution I found for theat is Prednisone to heal the infection (on;t for 5- 10 days) and all along the time Wet-Spray. I suggest you to consult with a very good ENT, far as I know Prednisone for short time will not harm. But I am not a doc. You better talk with ENT doc you trust. Good luck.
Avatar m tn So the prednisone and flonase haven't done much to help so far. I know it's peak pollen and allergy season right now in the mid-atlantic but it makes me worry. Today has been worse than any day in the past few weeks.
Avatar f tn My doctor said my left ear drum was not moving when he uses the air with the otoscope, I have been prescribed antibiotics , prednisone, flonase, decongents, all failed. he was suspecting eustashian tube dysfunction , but gave me an antibiotic just in case which I finished with no relief. I rarely have minimal pressure / pain intermittently to my left ear.
Avatar m tn My symptoms start with front and post nasal drip which is a reddish color, and sinus pressure. Later I have upper chest infection, wheezing, and when the buildup in my chest gets bad enough, major breathing problems (especially when trying to sleep), and spasmodic coughing to the point of unconsciousness at times. I lost my job and my medical coverage and have been taking Prednisone, 15mg per day, as a stop gap.
Avatar m tn I called the doc last week after trying a course of decongestants without luck and she prescribed flonase. Still no better today, still dizzy and have opaque fluid in my ears (as can be seen by an otoscope). I have been doing VRT for three weeks due to the dizziness, but without any results. I would like to call my doc again, but at this point I do not even know what can be done. I tried to get in with an ENT, but am looking at a three month wait at this point.
Avatar m tn Hi for the last year I've had troubles breathing. I sometimes feel I'm having heart issues and run to er, finally i Had some heart work up that was negative. I finally visited a ENT for my allergies and he noticed I have a deviated septum and large turbinates. Is it normal to breath from one nostril at a time with the other cometly blocked or is that an indication of imflamation in the sinuses. I do get alot of nasle poping everymorning and its like good relief when they pop.
Avatar f tn I was prescribed a heavy cocktail of prednisone, doxycycline, and Flonase and it sent my brain into a tizzy! I know exactly what you are describing. I've been to numerous doctors who all chalk it up as anxiety because all of my tests are OK. It is so frustrating! I think it is steroid-induced sensory psychosis. I hope it goes away!
Avatar m tn He also prescribed singulair, prednisone(10 mg for 7 days), flonase, antibiotic, and some cough syrup and mucinex. The prednisone helped with the pain but didnt make it completely go away. So Im not sure what my next step should be. This has been going on for a several months now and doesnt seem to be getting any better.
Avatar n tn I am currently only on Flovent and Flonase and they added 25 mg of Atenelol to lower my heart rate which was still occasionnally running in the high 80's and lower 90s after getting rid of Mucinex and taking prednisone. This treatment has been successful so far. Is the asthma causing the tachycardia or vice versa? Will this eventually go away? I have recently been cleared for mild exercise again - will this help the tachycardia? Would weight loss help as well.
Avatar f tn About a year ago I developed what I thought was the flu. I went to the dr. Who gave me antibiotics. It went away for a few days but then came back. My symptoms were running nose, nasal drainage down my throat filling my lungs with gunk, and subsequent cough. After 3 more trips to my family Dr. and three more, and different antibiotics, I demanded something was wrong and I'm not taking any more antibiotics. I went to see an ENT and he said it was my deviated septum causing the problems.
Avatar m tn Im currently on advair, singular, and flonase and with them I dont ever have these symptoms unless im doing any heavy activity. My doctors dont have a clue. My last visit I was told that I was hyperventilating. But why was I able to do everything the first two years in the Marine Corps? Did I just forget how to breath? I know there is something wrong, but I am at a loss as is my doctor. Has anyone else experienced this?
Avatar m tn I used flonase for a week and got better with my cough and then I stopped. Afterwards my cough came back and I saw a doctor and he told me do not use flonase which makes me cough. I am confused?
Avatar n tn After one round of it I still was having trouble and ended up in the hospital again being unable to breath, even with taking albuterol nebulizer treatments 4x a day. The hospital put me on prednisone 60mg for a week, and my primary doctor had initially planned for me to be on 60mg 3 days, then taper down by 10mg every 3 days until being done, as well as another round of levofloxacin.
Avatar m tn For the past month, since sinus surgery and multiple courses of steroids and antibiotics, I have been unable to sleep past 4AM. Not only an I awake, but I am jolted awake and then am completely wired/stressed (think 10 Venti Starbucks) for the rest of the morning. Slight nausea/ No interest in food in the morning. Things usually calm down for the day after lunch.
Avatar m tn Started off almost two months ago with light headed and dizzy. Doc said you have allergies that aren't draining. Gave me prednisone and flonase, to no avail. Doc said if prednisone doesn't work must be infection. Prescribed amoxicillin. Took amoxicillin for the course and started draining like crazy right at end of medication course. Drained and blew my nose every 10 minutes and even more in times of sweat and heat.
Avatar m tn I have a esophagus condition and was told to take flonase and spray 2 shots in my mouth twice a day. Flonase is a steroid and it helps with the inflammation. I had difficulty swallowing to the point of choking and passing out and this has helped me tremendously.
Avatar f tn t been feeling well. You can always call and ask your doctor these questions for guidance. Flonase is known to reduce nasal inflammation over time. The best thing is to blow your nose prior to using it and then wait as long as you possibly can before blowing your nose again. The longer you wait, the better chance the Flonase has of being absorbed into your nasal cavity. The most common recommendation is 15 to 30 minutes to wait to blow your nose after using. https://www.webmd.
Avatar n tn //www.rxlist.com/flonase-drug.htm. Is this prescribed to decreases swelling or to attend to the sinus issue contributing to the swelling?
Avatar n tn Hello. I have been experiencing moderate to severe postnasal drip and ringing in the ears. Moved to Chicago several years ago from Phoenix so the doctor suggested that I may be suffering from allergies as a result. Blood test confirmed grass allergy. Have been using Flonase (SP?) for about 1 month coupled with nasal rinsing system but still have the ringing and drainage. Should I be worried about another culprit besides allergies causing these awful symptoms??
Avatar n tn I generally take Flonase. About a week ago the allergies and sinuses really got a hold of me and i had horrible sinus pressure, felt really spacey, had ear fullness and pain, felt a little off but no ear infection. I got put on a antibiotic. I then just started the Flonase back up. One day i felt short of breath off and on. I also took a Zyrtec. I almost went to the hospital because i felt bad and felt like my allergies/ sinuses were causing it. I also have anxiety.
Avatar m tn I am a 50 year old male with intermittent/ mild tinnitus and slight fullness in my right ear since January.. With the death of my father on May 6, 2016 the condition got worse. I have tried Zyrtec, neomycin ear drops, amoxicillin at first. I woke up one morning and I suddenly developed a sensation of fullness in my R ear and ringing. ( low pitched roaring sound).Nothing that preceded it as far as I can tell. No colds or infections or anything. There was no vertigo.
Avatar n tn Twice in the last six months using Flonase my mouth filled with blood from sinuses. Is another medication for sinusitis available?
Avatar m tn I've had an upper respiratory infection for about a week. Went to the doctor this morning with severe ear pain, no infection, just inflammation due to the other infection. Was recommended Flonase, rest, and fluids. After I came home and took the Flonase I've had this really weird fizzing sensation off and on at the back of my throat all day. It feels like a handful of poprocks are at the top of my throat/back of my mouth. It's a really weird suggestion.
Avatar m tn I know that many cold remedies have Phenedrine and/or other stimlulants and I am wondering if any Afib patients out there take Nasonex or Flonase wihtout any problems.
